As the year winds down, and we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, it’s time to reflect on the year, the people in our lives, and the things we are thankful for. I want to say Thank you to all our loyal readers and welcome newcomers as well! Our cover star Haley Hasselhoff is a talented actress and model, and she shows us how to pull off fierce hair and makeup looks. Kendrick Sampson from How to Get Away with Murder graces the pages of Bello in a story shot by photographer Ted Sun. Pilar Noir shares her tips for how to wear gel manicures, and celebrity makeup artist Daniel Chinchilla talks about touring with Ariana Grande. Open the pages of the November Beauty for plenty of beauty and culture. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy! Sincerely, Nicole Walmsley, Beauty Editor

RIDE
Rolls Royce Phantom Series II The Flying Lady bows to collect some oysters TEXT: ZIGA COLJA PHOTOGRAPHY: SAGA INSTITUTE, REGENT HOTEL
PULSATING FROM ABOVE LIKE TINY QUASARS, THIS RANDOM LIGHT WITH POTENTIAL TO THROW DELICATE SHADOWS IS BEYOND COUNT. ASK CHILDREN AND YOU WILL LEARN THAT A BEARDED MAN SAILS AFAR AT NIGHT, HANGS EACH AND EVERY STAR TO THE SKY BY HAND. But young Jack was not glancing at the stars. His look aimed toward the waves, a hidden treasure underneath. Whatever he felt then, he never disclosed in his novels later. For this was a raid, his

to be one of the most extraordinary roads ever taken. Delight for the visual senses is complemented with a mechanical drive of similar greatness, mind you. Will a fresh oyster taste complete the sheer magnitude of the three senses involved in this voyage? Luckily, there is no endpoint but a purpose. We happen to drive an automobile statement on a vivacious part of Adriatic Coast. As road bends are followed by more road bends and views of deep blue incised by rock islands naked as the truth, we know there is no turning back. Tectonic scenery, a playground for the residents of Mount Olympus, it is endangering of throwing the earth’s magnetic field of balance. Miniscule is how one feels amidst these gargantuan occurrences. And in such rare occasions, one will happen to understand the capsule of refinement created in Goodwood. A shelter of structure and strength of an aluminium frame welded by hand. A cocoon made of thick windows and opulent sound insulation. The sensation of benign refinement. Press the accelerator and a seamless eight-speed transmission engages 7
a dozen cylinders, half of each are sitting on opposite banks separated by a 60-degree angle, palpitating magnificently towards any horizon. A petite village, crafted between the hill and an estuary bay, Ston remains an outpost of the last few remaining European oysters. An estuary to weather inclined downhill rivers, a microclimate flora ideal for millions
of miniscule sea creatures. Even if nobody cared about oysters here, they would grow. But people do care. As the Phantom is left in shade to dissipate the heat of its two-tone, peacock blue and jubilee silver exterior coating, the fields of oysters lay ahead. Jack would feel as if in the promised land here, but then again, who wouldn’t? A wooden boat is all it takes for a captain to feel at home and the story unwinds front

of our eyes in the most picturesque of ways. Seasoned for eighteen months, a delicacy needs no enhancement. Let the sea water drops leave the shell, ooze some lemon over raw meat if you believe necessary, close your eyes and let the taste impress you. An interpretation is left to every individual, as is an experience behind the steering wheel of the Rolls Royce flagship. Sadly very few people will ever get a chance to describe that bite. As the road continues in what seems to be an endless journey, some music is finally released from the sound system. Raving George’s “You’re mine” plays slightly, until the subwoofers in specially-built resonance chambers installed in the double floor are asked to perform, along with the speakers and a nine-channel amplifier. The display does not illustrate the volume, so knob bends to your liking, sound execution never gives way to the clarity. the night. Phantom is being parked in the secure bowels of Regent while we stroll the surroundings of a magnificent marina, a superyacht paradise. In just a few years, this recent development has attracted jetsetters from around the world. The best place to admire the location is of course from our highnested suite in the hotel, views of the shiny vessels, dawn on the horizon, a bearded man hanging stars up in the
sky. It brings back images of young Jack. The next day is all about sun, sea and a particular service of the Regent Hotel. One phone call to Elena and a polished boat, coincidentally of a peacock blue coloring, takes us to a whole lot of a different venue. It is a private beach with 15 consecutive annual blue flags. The aquatic transparency is as clear

as the sound in the Rolls Royce. The presence of a few other hotel guests is not even felt and we have the beach to ourselves. What we do not know is that sea urchins are being brought on a plate as we speak. A gourmet delight that matches our sea-tasting experience from previous day. The Bay of Kotor in the late afternoon is as flat as a lens on a Hubble telescope and the water craft glides above surface, with only the propeller shaft and blade being in contact with the water. On slow promenades and coastal roads, the Rolls Royce Phantom is exactly what people have not expected to envisage. It looks like a mirage, an amazement one has to touch to believe in. To sync with this meticulously manufactured vehicle almost feels like a spiritual experience. The rest is emotion. Emotion that differs each time you place your hands on the steering wheel or open doors for that precious someone. Now you are deep in the Rolls Royce conscience, a subtle experience of living. Once this state of mind reaches your wellbeing, Phantom becomes a tool of style and comfort. Heading for Catovica Mlini, an estate of fresh water springs and heavenly food, it all starts to makes sense. Owning a Rolls Royce Phantom does not stop by 9
possession, but widens the horizon such an investment will triumph. To reach Catovica Mlini, a restaurant so sublime in cuisine yet simple, it takes time to arrive there physically and mentally. Think about Jack, what proved to bring him more joy then looting oyster farms? You see, it might not be such a bad idea to read one of his books after an ocean harvested meal from Lazar’s kitchen. And if a Rolls Royce is happened to be parked front of the restaurant, you don’t even have to wait for the bearded man to start hanging the stars up in the sky. Just sit in rear saloon and
turn on the starlight headliner. For the lucky Phantom owners nowadays even manage to control their own stars. BELLO Mag: What do you love most about your current gig on Gotham, playing Edward Nygma? Corey Michael Smith: I’m attracted to the fact that just this thing has existed for over about 75 years and we’re doing it in a different format for TV, which is a really exciting and opportunistic way to tell the stories of these characters. In a way that deviates from, say, comic by comic. It’s an amazing opportunity. And we’re kind of writing history with DC Comics with these characters who’ve existed for decades. BM: There are a few other characters on Gotham that have been portrayed various times before. Yours not so much, but notably by Jim Carrey in 1995’s Batman Forever. CMS: I’ve never seen it! When I got the role, I didn’t think of watching it because I didn’t think it’d be helpful. I spent so much of my childhood imitating Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura and his early films. So I knew watching him in a role that I’m about to take on would be the las thing I needed to do. BM: Edward Nygma is really unraveling. How long till he’s come undone? CMS: I can tell you this, what has been unleashed is this other part of him that is wanting and needing to take control, and he’s kind of invigorated by this feeling. It’s horrible and exciting! I feel like I’m playing two characters, which is cool. It’s been so much fun. These two characters that I’m playing our going to come together and I think that’s what people watching are waiting for. They can see it happening. 13
BM: Last season, we all remember the exact scene when Nygma lost his cool, if only for a dangerous minute. Do you remember filming that scene? CMS: Yes, of course. When we filmed that scene, I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘What is this?’ It was just a monologue, asking questions one after the other, nothing else. While we were filming, I was watching The Jinx, and two days before we filmed the that scene, the finale of The Jinx aired, where Robert is alone in a bathroom, talking to himself. I was like, ‘This is what I’m about to do, this is the person. I’m the Robert Durst of Gotham, this is fantastic!’ So, I sat down with the director, and we discussed how the scene would be filmed. He told me they were thinking of bringing in a double, so it’d be like I was talking to myself, and I said to him, let me just show you how I’d do this if it were just me, he saw it, and instantly knew that’s how we had to do it. It was so much fun. BM: How would you describe Edward? CMS: That’s very hard, it’s like asking how to describe yourself. Edward is usually and consistently uncomfortable. I think he likes people, a lot. Maybe too much. Perhaps not to seek relationships but out of curiosity of why people do things. So it’s more of like a scientific take on them, getting obsessed with the subject. The specificities for him are big. I think he likes his job but it’s very boring, and we find him joyful when he’s doing things he shouldn’t be doing [laughs]. But, he’s very consistent. November 2015 - BELLO

CAUSE
The Cure: SMA BY: FABIO FERNANDEZ, fashion news director PHOTOS: ANGEL RIVERA
NOVEMBER IS THE HEART OF SOCIAL SEASON AND A TIME TO SAY THANKS AND GIVE BACK. GIVE US A MOMENT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE CURE: SMA FOUNDATION AND THE WONDERFUL WORK THEY DO FOR THE FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THIS DISEASE.
SMA, which stands for spinal muscular atrophy, is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat or breathe. It is the number-one genetic cause of death for infants. SMA is caused by a mutation in the survival motor neuron gene 1 (SMN1). In a healthy person, this gene produces a protein that is critical to the function of the nerves that control our muscles. Without it, those nerve cells cannot properly function and eventually die, leading to debilitating and often fatal muscle weakness. BEAUTY issue - BELLOmag.com

organization and raise funds for SMA. It is a wonderful event that raised close to $200,000, which is $90,000 more than last year. All of the proceeds will go towards helping find a cure for this disease. There are currently five drugs in clinical trials, two of which are ready for human trials for upcoming use in the four primary types of SMA which are based on age of onset and highest physical capabilities. Let us do our part in spreading the word and donating anything possible for this incredible cause.
SMA affects approximately 1 in 10,000 babies and about 1 in every 50 Americans is a genetic carrier. SMA can affect any race or gender. Individuals with SMA have difficulty performing the basic functions like breathing and swallowing. However, SMA does not affect a person’s ability to think, learn and build relationships with others.

Unfortunately there are currently no approved treatments for SMA, but there is great reason for hope. We know what causes SMA and what needs to be done to develop effective therapies and doctors are on the verge of major breakthroughs that will strengthen children’s bodies, extend life and eventually lead to a cure. However, without the help of people just like you, nothing can be done. On Thursday, November 12th, the fifth annual Gala of Hope was held at Ferrari19

CONTINUING TO EXHIBIT THE CREATIVE AND SPECIAL EYE OF THE TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHY DUO THAT WE KNOW AS JSQUARED PHOTOGRAPHY, THEY’VE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT HERE. GIVING THIS PIECE A WESTERN FLARE, JOE MAGNANI AND JARED SCHLACHET GIVE US A BIT OF INSIGHT INTO BANNING STAGECOACH RODEO DAYS AND THE BANNING RODEO QUEEN. WELCOME TO BELLO’S FIRST TIME AT THE RODEO. THIS IS RAW ART BY JSQUARED PHOTOGRAPHY.
AMY PIPPENGER, Organizer BELLO Mag: Can you tell us a little bit about the history of the Banning Stagecoach Days? How was it originally started? Amy Pippenger: Stagecoach Days was originally started in 1959. It started as Pioneer Days as a way to celebrate the BEAUTY issue - BELLOmag.com
city’s history and culture. In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, the name was changed to Stagecoach Days to honor the city’s past with the Stagecoach line. Through the years it has changed from the City hosting it, the chamber of commerce, finally in 2006 when the economy took a downward spiral and the city
could no longer back it financially, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) was formed by a few passionate community members with the sole purpose of producing Banning Stagecoach Days. The first few years of the nonprofit, the members produced a ranch rodeo, a parade, a carnival and the Whiskerino contest, a beard26

growing contest. That was all that they could do because of lack of funds and volunteers. The attendance was about 3,000 people for the entire weekend in 2013, which was low. Several people were complaining on social media about how terrible it was so one community member called them out and said, ‘Instead of complaining why not step up to be a solution to the problem?’ and with that, the organization quickly grew from four volunteers to 20. It is still an all-volunteer 501(c)(3), but we now produce a Pro Rodeo, a parade, a dance, a rodeo queens contest, battle of the bands, a carnival, the whiskerino contest, a junior rodeo and hold several events throughout the year to raise money to pay for the main event but also to give the community things to do and to foster the sense of community. The estimated attendance for 2014 was 10,000 with this year’s audience being even larger. Stagecoach days was at its height in the late ‘80s and late ‘90s. The economic downturn has caused changes but it is back on track and gaining momentum to be what it once was. During its height, it created a special sense of community pride with the events held throughout the year and we are on track to achieve that again.

BM: Who gets to compete? AP: The rodeo, the rodeo queen competition, the battle of the bands and the parade are open to the public in a 100-mile radius and contestants must meet rules and guidelines which can be found on our website at stagecoachdays.net. All events are always open to the public to view. BM: What events take place?
to select a theme for the parade and we chose “Believe in Banning.” It has stuck and we would like to believe that our enthusiasm is part of the change to revitalize a community that has been down for awhile but never out. Banning is on the mend and gaining momentum just like Stagecoach Days! BM: What can we look forward to next year?
AP: Stagecoach Days will be held on September 9-11, 2016. We are looking at ways to improve our carnival, adding more bands to the battle of the bands, increasing our vendors, adding a kids’ section and rumor has it there may be a mechanical bull to test your riding skills! The entire event is paid for by sponsors and run by volunteers, so every bit of help counts.
AP: The Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Associaton (GCPRA) Rodeo; the junior rodeo, in which kids compete in all the same events as the adults; the parade through downtown Banning; the Old West encampment; the Whiskerino contest; a carnival; a beer garden with live entertainment onstage all weekend; the battle of the bands; a good old-fashioned barn dance Friday and Saturday after the rodeo. BM: What does it mean to the city of Banning? AP: Stagecoach Days means hope! In 2013 when the nonprofit grew, we had 29

JENNIFER HALL, Rodeo Queen BM: How did you become the Banning Stagecoach Rodeo Queen? Jennifer Hall: To become rodeo queen there was a two-day competition that involved horsemanship, speech, and interview skills. Day one was the horsemanship part, where each of the girls had to perform a reining pattern, a queen’s run and a flag run. Since our duties as queen involve us attending rodeos on horseback to represent our city, horsemanship was the category

with the largest amount of points. On day two, we were in more western formal wear and presented our speeches in front of a panel of judges along with a large audience. I spoke about legends of rodeo and spoke from the perspective of a famous bull named Bushwacker. After our speeches were done, we were in a closed room where we were then interviewed by the judges with questions regarding rodeo knowledge, rodeo queen responsibilities and horse knowledge. I was fortunate enough to

have won in all three categories and win the title. BM: What are your responsibilities as queen? JH: As queen my responsibilities are to be an ambassador for the sport of rodeo, for the city of Banning and the GCPRA. I attend various rodeos as visiting royalty and city events throughout the year. BM: Have you always wanted to be a rodeo queen? JH: I have not always wanted to be rodeo queen. It was a last-minute decision to do the competition and I am so thankful I did it. The experiences I have had so far have been experiences that I will never forget. There is nothing more exhilarating than carrying the American flag on horseback. That was one of my favorite parts of our rodeo. BEAUTY issue - BELLOmag.com
However, the glamorous side of the job is not what it is about. Being a role model for young girls who want to be a future rodeo queen or involved in the rodeo life is my main focus. BM: How long have you been involved in the rodeo world? JH: I have only been in the rodeo world for about two years now. I had just recently got into horses and loved it. BM: What is your event? How long have you been doing it? JH: I started doing barrel racing about a year ago. Three barrels are set up in a cloverleaf pattern where the rider either makes one turn to the right and two to the left or one turn to the left and two to the right. It is a timed event and is definitely an exciting one to watch.
BM: Do you plan to do more competitions after you fulfill your Queen duties? JH: I do not do barrel racing competitively right now. However, after my reign, I plan on getting more serious and entering in more jackpots and rodeos. I am also thinking about doing more local rodeo queen pageants in the near future. BM: How important is the Banning Stagecoach Rodeo to you? JH: I have really grown to love the city of Banning. When I got involved with horses, Banning Stagecoach Days was the first rodeo I got involved in. To see this rodeo committee bring back Stagecoach Days over the past two years and have it be so successful has been is amazing. I look forward to joining the committee the following year and continuing to help this rodeo succeed in the future. 32

GEL POLISH IS A MAGICAL INNOVATION IN THE NAIL INDUSTRY. THE CONVENIENCE OF A POLISH THAT CAN LAST UP TO TWO WEEKS HAS BEEN A GAME CHANGER IN RECENT YEARS FOR THOSE WHO ARE UNABLE TO KEEP TRADITIONAL POLISH ON FOR MORE THAN A DAY OR TWO. With the holidays fast approaching and a lot of travel plans, gel polish continues to be in high demand.
Tin Foil Orangewood / birchwood stick Cuticle oil
However, gel polish can all too often get a bad rap, particularly that it weakens nails. I have found that more often than not, it comes down to protocol and primarily has to do with how the product is removed. There are common bad habits and nono’s such as peeling gel polish yourself when it starts to wear. Peeling it off yourself may be your inclination but please have a little willpower as it will also take off layers of your natural nail. This thins your nail plate making it weaker and more susceptible to chipping and breakage. Do not file on top of the natural nail--ever. Filing weakens the structure. A soft buffer tool to help with product removal is all right but do not overfile the natural nail. I prefer teaching consumers to remove this product themselves at home. It’s easy and you can take the time you need while watching tv or playing on your computer. Salons can sometimes be

All you need is a little patience and the following materials to properly remove gel polish at home, damage free: Nail file Cotton balls
Cut the tin foil into small squares that are large enough to wrap each finger with a cotton ball. Saturate the cotton ball in acetone and place it directly on the gel polish. The tin foil is to wrap around the finger and secure the cotton ball while it does its job. Leave it on for at least ten minutes. Then, remove one at a time gently pushing the product off with the wood stick. Rewrap the nail for any polish still in tact. Once finished, follow the same procedure on the other hand. After both hands are free from gel polish, nourish nails and hands with your favorite cuticle oil.

Spotlight On the Artist
Daniel Chinchilla Celebrity Makeup Artist Twitter @ dchinchilla | Instagram @beautybydchinchilla
DANIEL CHINCHILLA IS A MAKEUP ARTIST AND BEAUTY EXPERT WHO HAS TRAVELED THE WORLD WITH HIS CLIENTS: ARIANA GRANDE, DEBBY RYAN AND TIA AND TAMARA MOWRY TO NAME A FEW. HIS WORK HAS APPEARED IN THE PAGES OF INSTYLE, ALLURE, AND WOMEN’S HEALTH. HE TELLS US ABOUT HIS FAVORITE PRODUCTS AND SHARES SOME ADVICE FOR HOW TO GROW IN THIS INDUSTRY. BELLO Mag: What did you want to be when you were growing up?
BM: Who is someone you haven’t worked with yet, but would love to?
Daniel Chinchilla: I actually wanted to be a teacher. I guess I admired my teachers so much that I wanted to be like them.
DC: I can’t pick one so I’ll pick three. Jennifer Lopez, Gigi Hadid and Kerry Washington. I love that they are not afraid to take risks, and love makeup. Makeup is supposed to be fun, and they seem to understand that, I love it!
BM: When did you start doing makeup and how did you choose it as a career? DC: When I was 19, I decided to take a break from college. I needed to figure out what I wanted to do in life. I walked into the beauty section at Nordstrom and fell in love with the energy. I applied and instantly got the job. I didn’t know much about makeup, but I loved the power of making someone feel beautiful.
BM: All-time favorite tip or trick? DC: Priming! People underestimate the importance of priming the skin before makeup. It makes a world of difference in how your makeup wears throughout the day and ensures a nice smooth finish. It is a must!
BM: What do you enjoy the most about your job?
BM: What trends are you excited about for this season?
DC: I love figuring out what type of look my clients want and executing it. I also love when they look in the mirror in the end and are so excited about their look. It is super rewarding.
DC: I am really excited about the return of blush! We have all been stuck on this bronzer/contour phase and blush was forgotten about. Finally, pops of color on the cheeks are back.
BM: How would you describe your style as a makeup artist?
BM: What is your makeup pet peeve?
DC: I love skin! I am really big on accentuating someone’s beauty. I feel like for the most part, that is what makeup is about. Glowing skin, soft and sexy eyes and healthy looking lips. BM: What has you biggest “pinch me” moment? DC: I think it would have to be when I was backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. It felt so surreal. I couldn’t even believe that I was there and doing makeup. It was always a dream of mine, and I was wondering when I would wake up. 35
DC: I think my pet peeve is seeing unblended contour lines. It just starts to look really harsh, so it is better to soften those up for a more natural finish. BM: What inspires you in your work? DC: My favorite beauty magazines like Allure, Cosmopolitan, and InStyle inspire me. I love seeing all of the cool new products and trends. My clients also inspire me! I love making them look and feel amazing, and love that they put their trust in me. BM: What are your top five go-to products right now?
DC: Some of my favorites right now are the Smashbox Primers, Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, Maybelline 14 Hour Lipstick, Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation and Urban Decay Blushes. You have to top the look off with a signature fragrance. One of my favorite scents right now is ARI by Ariana Grande. You can get it at Ulta Beauty and has an amazing feminine scent. BM: What’s next for you? DC: I am currently touring with Ariana Grande on her Honeymoon Tour, which takes up a majority of my time. It is an amazing experience that I am so grateful for, and excited to figure out what is coming next. While on tour, I’m also celebrating the launch of Ariana’s fragrance and hair mist, Ari by Ariana Grande, with Ulta Beauty. It is a really exciting time to be with her and see all of this come together. BM: How do you spend your time outside of work? DC: I love to go out to eat and shop. I am a shopaholic for sure. I also feel like I never get sick of makeup and beauty products. I am always at the store looking at new products and checking out what I am going to buy next. It is so fun to me, and I am glad its part of my job. It is the perfect excuse to buy whatever I want. BM: What advice would you give someone who wants to be a makeup artist? DC: Practice and then practice some more! You will never know everything and that is the fun part about it. Also, you do not need to have the most expensive makeup to achieve flawless finishes. There are great products in every line. It’s all about finding the ones that you love. November 2015 - BELLO

KENDRICK SAMPSON HAILS FROM TEXAS AND DESPITE THE “BETTER FOOD” AND THE “WARMER PEOPLE” BACK IN HOUSTON, L.A. IS SAMPSON’S TRUE HOME NOW. “YOU CAN’T BEAT THE WEATHER OUT IN L.A. AND MY WORK IS OUT HERE AND THE PEOPLE ARE BEAUTIFUL”.
With The Vampire Diaries and now How To Get Away With Murder on his CV, Sampson is essential to the ABC family. The Texan-born star has just been cast as ‘Caleb’ in Shonda Rhimes’ wildly popular HTGAWM. In an exclusive interview with BELLO, Sampson discussed his love for social media, his unforgettable time with everyone’s favorite vampires and his enviable bromances that have been formed thanks to HTGAWM.
world, I’d hoped they would fight over me”.
He played the handsome ‘Jesse’, love interest of ‘Caroline’, on Julie Plec’s dynamo show, The Vampire Diaries. Despite being a late addition to this phenomenon, Sampson was overwhelmed by the love and support he got from this iconic cast. “I’ve literally made some life long friends and I didn’t think I would meet friends there you know? I came five seasons in so I was not expecting to be buddies with anybody. I saw Nina [Dobrev] recently, I talk to Stephen [R. McQueen] and even Julie [Plec], and I see [Michael] Trevino!”
However, the age-old saying applies here, everything really does happen for a reason. “I went down to my agent’s office and it seemed like they were going to give me bad news and they kind of sprung it on me [his role in HTGAWM] and I was so tired and drained from doing over a month and a half of auditions. I only auditioned once for How to Get Away with Murder and sort of forgot about it so I was really surprised when they were like, ‘You’re going to ShondaLand!’ “.
However his relationship with ABC has not always been smooth sailing. “I was up for a huge role on Nashville and another one for Secrets and Lies, all ABC shows. Earlier that year I did the Kingmakers pilot, then there was another MTV show that I was up for so I was like ‘I have got plenty of options, they’re all going to go great it’s going to be amazing and whichever one I want to pick will be great.’ Then I lost all of those, I didn’t book one! but nothing compares to his ultimate bromances on HTGAWM. “Oh man,
If I believe in something, I don’t care what people think, so I will post it if I truly believe in it.
He has an adored fan-base and huge social media following but in spite of this massive endorsement, Sampson does not take this position lightly. “I’m very conscious about what I post because there are so many things and so many people you can offend. However, if I believe in something, I don’t care what people think, so I will post it if I truly believe in it. At the same time, I’m very careful about not offending people”. He has a super tight relationship with his Vampire Diaries cast members,
Matt [McGorry]! Matt is my dude, he’s hilarious. Matt is. . . he’s Matt! He is very into philanthropy and activism and we share a lot of the same views on feminism and a lot of those movements. I’d known Matt before HTGAWM and he was already one of my favorite people on this earth!” McGorry is not the only cast member Sampson also has a whole lot of love for. “Alfie [Enoch] has a special place in my heart. He’s just like a really cool dude and is just hilarious. He has this huge laugh that you won’t ever miss. If he’s laughing, everyone will know for miles! I just love being around him. Everybody on set is extremely intelligent and very well educated so I love talking to everyone”. Sampson is a smooth and charasmatic individual with a long road ahead. It might be a little lonely this Christmas without HTGAWM but don’t worry, Sampson will be back in action on February 11 of next year on ABC.

HER FAMOUS FATHER, DAVID HASSELHOFF, PLAYED THE ICONIC ‘MITCH BUCHANNON’ IN BAYWATCH ALONGSIDE HER BEAUTIFUL MOTHER, PAMELA BACH. WITH SUCH TALENTED AND GIFTED PARENTS, HAYLEY HASSELHOFF WAS DESTINED FOR GREATNESS. Hayley is just one of the inspirational beauties paving the way for diversity and change in both the modelling and acting world. She poses up quite the storm on the runway, and at the mere age of 23, has some pretty fierce and elevating things to say about the industry. From her dedicated social media following to her treasured Los Angeles upbringing, and her iconic and supportive father, Hayley had some enlightening words of wisdom. Growing up in Los Angeles meant Hayley was thrusted into the entertainment world from a very young age, which only did wonders for her career and upbringing. “I had a great experience growing up in Los Angeles. I have been very blessed to have always had a home in Los Angeles but moved around throughout my childhood wherever my father’s work took our family. At 17 I booked “Huge” on ABC Family, which was such a blessing for me to go to work everyday here in Los Angeles. The infectious spirit of creativity and following your dreams surrounds you, whilst it’s just a drive away from some piece of mind at the beach”. Despite the uber-stardom that runs through the Hasselhoff genes, Hayley’s humility is a breath of fresh air. “One of my favorite things about Los Angeles are the friends that I have had since I was young and the friends I’ve met long the way. I have some of the most driven, creative, loving, and spiritual friends that I’m so blessed to call family. I travel often, but I always love saying that home is in Los Angeles”. With the likes of Hayley Hasselhoff and Ashley Graham, the world is being introduced to a diversification of beauty. There are so many more women and men vocalising their appreciation of the body-positive movement enabling people to embrace change, something 53
that Hayley whole-heartedly supports. “I think the plus size movement happening in the fashion industry has given the opportunity for conversation about body image to be raised more. The beauty about this is that models and educators have had the opportunity to talk about body image, which needed to be raised a long time ago. Fashion is relatable to all sizes, shapes, cultures, and races. [So} when you merge the two, I feel like people are finally starting to listen”.
released soon. I am also very excited about releasing the UK plus size clothing brand. I will be doing my first collection for A/W 16 in the upcoming weeks. Stay updated by keeping up with my website hhasselhoff.com.” The Los Angeles-born beauty is also headed over to London later this year. “I am heading over to London to speak at Parliament on December 1st as MP Caroline Nokes of the APPG for Body Image has asked me to be in the inquiry
One of my favorite things about Los Angeles are the friends that I have had since I was young and the friends I’ve met long the way. As is the case for most artists, social media has been an incredible tool for Hayley to connect with her fans and voice her personal yet important viewpoints. “I really have had such a positive experience with social media. I get encouraged everyday by my fans or people who inspire me on social media that I am on the right journey. Also, how important it is to be a good role model, with that though I only hope I can help encourage others to find themselves and find their journey”. Hayley has already celebrated an incredible and fruitful year with her acting and modeling, so really, it isn’t hugely surprising that this ingénue has some exciting projects to share with her bevy of loyal fans. “I am very excited about my latest project with Luisa Via Roma. You can view it at luisaviaroma. com. Our latest fashion film should be
as they are raising the conversation about models going to unhealthy lengths to follow their dream. They are having a list of important people in the industry come forward and talk about their experience and opinion. It’s a privilege to have been asked to be apart of such an impactful conversation”.
