Letter from the Editor Y o u have already seen all the Christmas parades, enjoyed a wonderful time with your family and friends for Thanksgiving, and survived the craziness of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In today’s very unstable world, we should be thankful for having a mostly peacful life and being able to enjoy life and spend time with those we love. And yes, we have made another Entertainment issue with a touch of nostalgia to spice up the beginning of december. While you are reading this, I am probably at the Paradise Cove celebrating my birthday and alredy working on the next issue. At the same time, you can check out a cover story with Katelyn Nacon from The Walking Dead, one of a few major obsessions we have right now. Also, we are looking back at the best of 2015 in entertainment, featuring some cool interviews and fashion stories. I must admit that I like this time of the year. It is not all about the presents and getting together, but also about starting to look at the 2015 in a different perspective, finally starting to enjoy all the achievments and excitments from this year. We hope you are safe and getting ready for amazing holliday season. Ciao, Alek Editor in Chief Aleksandar Tomovic

INTRO We are coming toward the end of the year which means it’s time to share some of our very best in Entertainment from 2015. This month, from one of television’s biggest shows, The Walking Dead, we present to you our covergirl, newbie Katelyn Nacon (pictured here). Shot in the Hollywood Hills by celebrity photographer, Amanda PeixotoElkins, Nacon shows us that she can clean up extremely well. We also have the handsome Raza Jaffrey from CBS’s newest hit show, Code Black. Shot in Los Angeles, CA by photographer Sam Zachrich, Jaffrey comes in hot from the UK and has already started to leave his mark in the US with a list of hit shows like Smash and Homeland. Though we are not yet ready to say goodbye to 2015, we do want to show you what has stood out to us, and the consensus proves that thus far, 2015 has been a very good year. Enjoy, Leslie Alejandro Executive Director ENTERTAINMENT issue - BELLOmag.com

Kouhei Nakama is the filmmaker behind the extraordinary new visual effects-based video entitled “Diffusion”. The video is an exploration of what appears to be cellular division or spore growth patterns which radiate in symmetrical and mirrored formations. Nakama’s brief description is all but one simple question: “Why don’t humans have patterned texture like animals?” You can see the mesmerizing results here: www.vimeo.com/145251635
Whenever you watch an old Hollywood movie or hear a clip from a radio broadcast of the same era, chances are you will hear that strangely familiar accent that you can’t quite explain. It’s one-part British, one-part New Yorkish, and one-part nasal. Until today I always used to think that it was a very real accent, but thanks to the team at Brain Stuff now I know the truth. Watch the fascinating 3-minute explanation here: www.goo.gl/KepktH
In recent years we’ve seen more and more bacteria develop antibiotic resistance. If the troubling situation continues to wipe out any more of our antibiotics it could bring the global healthcare system to its knees. Now thanks to the incredible work of researchers at the Sackler School of Medicine, it is possible to bring these defunct antibiotics back to life by rebooting them with engineered viruses that turn off the bacteria’s resistance. It’s that time of the year again when TripAdvisor ranks the Top 25 all-inclusive resorts in the world. Although I’d be perfectly happy spending a couple of weeks at any of these spots, there’s something about the resort at #1 in the Maldives that’s calling my name right now. You can see all 25 here: http://goo.gl/t3XypB (photo by TripAdvisor traveler Cathyt25).
The wizards at Teamlab have built a stunning installation called Crystal Universe currently on display at the Pola Museum Annex in Tokyo. Not all sunsets are created equal. Now with SunsetWx we have a sunset quality forecasting tool to let us know ahead of time when we’re about to get one of those dreamy sunsets not to be missed. THE BEST OF 2015: A Look Back at What Popped Our Culture BELLO’S RESIDENT POP CULTURE JUNKIES JOIN FORCES TO SELECT AND DISCUSS WHAT THEY ENJOYED MOST THIS PAST YEAR (*ALL REVIEWED AT PRESS TIME)
MOVIE PICKS OF 2015 Tangerine - Also known as “the movie that was entirely shot on an iPhone,” director Sean Baker’s electrifying and unintentional love letter to Los Angeles is more than just a filmmaking gimmick, shattering casting conventions while chronicling the Christmas Eve of a pair of transgender prostitutes (Kitana Kiki Rodriguez and Mya Taylor) on a mission that culminates at a Hollywood donut shop where unexpected paths cross. Funny, heartbreaking, and unlike anything I’ve seen in recent memory. Hiko Mitsuzuka (@TheFirstEcho)
Room - I felt all the feels during the movie...no kidding, I cried five times. It’s deeply profound and emotional, but also a true testament that “no one is strong alone.” And please give Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay all the awards already. - Gerrad Hall (@gerradhall) Inside Out - Quite possibly the best Disney-Pixar collaboration in years, this immensely appealing tale about a girl and her conflicting emotions shall be studied in future child psychology classes around the world. - HM Mad Max: Fury Road - Sure, Jurassic World made more money and Inside Out collectively broke our hearts. But for sheer cinematic spectacle, gonzo action, and the most badass female character in what seems like forever, nothing could top the 20-years-inthe-making Fury Road, which rattled ENTERTAINMENT issue - BELLOmag.com
and roared with a fierce beauty that demanded to be reckoned with. Adrienne McIlvaine (@mizocty)
Carol - Cate Blanchett delivers every single line and emotional beat to precision like a diamond cutter. And Rooney Mara as impressionable Therese caught in Carol’s world will break your heart. There hasn’t been a love story as breathtaking since Brokeback Mountain. Here’s hoping the Academy Awards gets it right this time. - Ringo Le (@ringole) The End of the Tour - For those who love nothing but intellectually stimulating conversation between two characters, this tribute to late novelist David Foster Wallace (played here by Jason Segel in a revelatory role), who was documented by Rolling Stone journalist David Lipsky (Jesse Eisenberg), is hypnotically staged and directed by James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now). - HM
TV PICKS OF 2015 Brooklyn - After watching this moving film, I wanted to give Saoirse Ronan a hug. It’s a relatable performance, a beautiful story, and a classic piece of filmmaking. - Scott Youngbauer (@oscarscott) Spotlight - The true story about a team of Boston Globe journalists blowing the lid off a decades-spanning cover-up involving the Catholic Church in 2001 gets retold in Tom McCarthy’s gripping drama that pulsates with every scene. - HM The Final Girls - My favorite movie of 2015. Hands down. Putting a spin on the conventional horror film that was better than, dare I say, Scream! I saw it twice in the theater during its first week of release, a rarity in a Netflix phase of life. - Tim Murdock (@timmurdock)
Sicario - Sicario was such an excellent movie! Tense, taut, terrific. What can I say, the cartel world is fascinating one. And Emily Blunt proves she’s a force to be reckoned with. - Ariel Paredes (@ RELworld)
Master of None (Netflix) - According to E. Alex Jung over at Vulture.com, Aziz Ansari’s truly groundbreaking show “has deftly tackled the issues of race: Its easy, conversational tone belies how cleverly it dismantles racial tropes. Moreover, it manages to acknowledge systemic racism toward people of color while refusing to be defined by it.” And not only has this 10-episode first season so brilliantly tackled other issues like gender discrimination, rape culture, and online dating, it has finally given Ansari a welldeserved moment in the spotlight. - HM Togetherness (HBO) - This observational slice of L.A. life from the Duplass brothers is full of charm, wit, and authentic moments of perfect imperfections, thanks to its highly charismatic cast (Mark Duplass, Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey, and Steve Zissis). - HM
Mr. Robot (USA) - Star Rami Malek is a true breakout in this paranoia-driven 8
thriller that hums with an unsettling energy you can’t quite get out of your system after watching its brilliant first season. - HM Blunt Talk (Starz) - If you blinked and missed this sitcom featuring a delightfully spry Patrick Stewart as Walter Blunt, a blowhard British talk show host determined to conquer America with his crusty heart of gold, now’s the time to catch up. The 10-episode series, written by Bored to Death’s Jonathan Ames, crackles with a quirky, melancholic sentimentality and a whipsmart cast that includes a scene-stealing Adrian Scarborough as Walter’s loyal manservant. - AM Broad City (Comedy Central) - It’s what HBO’s Girls wished it could be, a hilarious, near-satirical take on the Millennial Experience in a New York City we rarely see portrayed on television. HM Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW) - The funniest show on TV. Not since Roxie Hart has there been a charismatic gal with delusions of having it all that are expressed in unabashedly sweeping musical numbers. Rachel Bloom brings depth and likability to the title role that really hasn’t been seen since - dare I say - Judy Garland or Deanna Durbin during the Golden Age of Hollywood. RL The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bravo) - Lisa Rinna breaking a wine glass and yelling at an unstable Kim Richards -- we can say unstable; the evidence was documented on TV -was beyond entertaining and worthy of many repeat viewings. - TM The Goldbergs (ABC) - This underrated, must-see comedy is consistently funny... like, LOL funny. And Wendi McLendonCovey is everything as the smother of all smothers, Beverly Goldberg. Her F-bombs are so f-ing brilliant. - GH RuPaul’s Drag Race (Logo) - I count down the days until the premiere for RuPaul’s Drag Race every year, and season
seven didn’t disappoint. I’m pretty sure I’ll think about queens like Katya, and Trixie Mattel everyday until I’m old. - SY
as lyrics and made dragons wanna retire? - GH
Empire (Fox) - Not since Melrose Place has Fox delivered a crazy-sexyridiculous sudser like this. Toss in a hot soundtrack of original tunes and Taraji P. Henson giving us 2015’s best new character, and it’s a no-brainer why this dishy drama is giving EVERYONE life. - HM
MUSIC PICKS OF 2015 I Cry When I Laugh by Jess Glynne - Between her retro summer collaboration with Tinie Tempah (“Not Letting Go”) and previous appearances with Clean Bandit, the British songstress promised -- and completely delivered. From the 90s-throwback grooves of “Hold My Hand” and “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” to the 80s-tinged R&B tracks like “You Can Find Me,” Glynne blew me away with her debut from start to finish. - HM “Feeling Electric” by Parade of Lights - Electro-pop was never more anthemic and epic in 2015 when it came to this L.A.-based group’s collection of tunes from their debut LP, particularly this feel-good track that soars every time you play it. - HM “Mouth Mantra” by Bjork - Bjork’s ninth studio album, Vulnicura, is a raw and deeply emotional journey following her breakup with longtime partner Matthew Barney, and the penultimate track, “Mouth Mantra” is like the first bloom of spring after a long winter. Backed by soaring strings and The Haxan Cloak’s pulsating synthwork, Bjork sheds her grief and reclaims her identity as a mother, human and artist with her trademark intensity and singular style. - AM “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - I realize this was a late 2014 release, but let’s be honest, this has been the song of 2015, and it makes me happy every time I hear it. What other track this year simultaneously incorporated Michelle Pfeiffer’s name
Rebel Heart by Madonna - It’s, in my opinion, is her best work since Ray of Light. “Ghosttown” is classic Madge, and I could listen to it 1,000 times and still not be sick of it. - SY “Body Talk” by Foxes - The British songstress delivered this breezy, midtempo electro-pop number that’s irresistible from start to finish, the kind you wish would never end. - HM “Cheerleader” by OMI - Without sounding corny, because I am not a Top 40 kind of girl, I must admit that this tune had my head bopping all summer. - AP
“Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd - It’s like the best unreleased Michael Jackson track we never knew we needed until it heated up the summer with its delicious retro-cool groove. HM “King” by Years & Years - Smooth synth-pop with an emotional core realized by frontman Olly Alexander’s lithe vocal delivery. - HM
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Conrad Sewell’s “Hold Me Up,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You,” Adele’s “Hello,” Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer,” Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean,” Ester Dean’s “Crazy Youngsters,” Robin Thicke & Nicki Minaj’s “Back Together,” and Janelle Monae’s “Yoga.” 9

I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I LOVE READING AND EATING, BUT COOKING IS NOT MY BIGGEST FORTE. SO I SCOUTED THROUGH BOOKSTORES FOR THE EASIEST TO UNDERSTAND COOKBOOKS WITH THE MOST DECADENT AND SWEET DELICACIES. FROM FRENCH INSPIRED RECIPES TO TRADITIONAL AMERICAN PIES, YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING TO SUIT YOUR EVERY MOOD AND TOOTH.
The Petit Four Cookbook by Brooks Coulson Nguyen: I’m addicted to these delicious bite-size cakes that look as amazing as they taste. Perfect for tea parties and celebrations, the recipes in here teach you how to make them and decorate them for every occasion from baby showers and weddings to winter holidays. My favorites are the Raspberry Cream Cheese filling and Almond Petit Fours.

This book gives you all the right ideas for a fun adult party that will cater to your most playful inner kid. Beyond Brandy and Bailey’s, my favorites are the Jasmine Tea with Sake and Mojito Ice Cream. It is like cocktail and dessert all rolled in one!
Crazy For Cake Pops by Molly Bakes: I can still remember the first time I had a cake pop. It was like if I saw Christmas on a stick! This book lives up to its name with the most creative and cool recipes. Learn to make tea pots, fishes, flowers, poker chips, clowns, and even handbags filled with your favorite cake flavor and toppings. My favorite are the Red Velvet Sweetheart Pops.
Macarons by Cecile Cannone: Hands down my most beloved sweet treat. These soft and sumptuous delicacies are my kryptonite. This cookbook does not only teach you how to master the chewy yet light consistency enviable of any French bakery, but it gives you ideas of unconventional flavors that once mixed are a pleasant surprise for your palate. Lavender, Pistachio & Rose, and Espresso are some of my favorite findings.
Poptails by Erin Nichols: I love to make popsicles filled with yogurt and fruits for the kiddies, but now I have an excuse to make them for myself. This book inspires you to create your favorite drink and mix it with unexpected fruits and sweets to create refreshing and yummy treats on a stick! My favorites are the Wicked Watermelon, Strawberry-Basil Martini and German Chocolate Cake.

FROM A VERY YOUNG AGE RAZA JAFFREY HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE PERFORMING ARTS ARENA. BORN AND BRED IN THE ICONIC CITY OF LIVERPOOL IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, JAFFREY EARNED HIMSELF A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN ENGLISH AND DRAMA FROM MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY. WITH ACTING RECOGNITION FROM THE OLD VIC THEATRE SCHOOL IN BRISTOL TOO, RAZA’S ROAD TO STARDOM WAS SET.
BELLO MAG: So I understand you studied acting in Manchester and also Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Have you been back to either of these places since? RAZA JAFFREY: Happily, I have. Not only were they great places to train but the cities themselves are just fantastic places to be. When I was at Manchester it was ‘City of Culture’ so I had my eyes opened to some great international theatre. Those were also the last days of the Hacienda and the club scene that launched so many bands from that period, from The Stone Roses to Oasis. Somehow we found time to go to lectures and I managed to get into Bristol Old Vic straight afterwards. In cities like these you really do get to meet people from different walks of life. An older actor once said to me that the most boring actors are the ones who are only friends with other actors. That’s probably true for any profession. I’m proud that many of my closest friendships were forged in those years with people who do things vastly different from me. It’s what I’d wish for any student. BM: Is being an actor something you would recommend to other people? RJ: Well the world needs actors. So yes. But the truth is you can neither persuade people to join this business nor leave it. I’d say to any aspiring actor that if they want to do it, then commit to it properly, get trained and be prepared to do lots of unglamorous jobs whilst you’re learning your craft. And nothing 23
compares to experience, so wherever you can, get out there and practice in whatever way you can. The actors that I admire most have had careers fraught with ups and downs. But in the face of rejection and accolades, they still have a hunger to do it. Bryan Cranston talks about being in this business because you want to be an artist. Hang on to that. We’ve all got to pay the bills but if that’s your main reason for doing it, find something else, there are easier ways of making a living. Do it because you’re contributing to the profession and you have stories to tell. Do it for yourself, not for the approval of others. And keep everything crossed. BM: Congratulations on your new role in “Code Black”! For people that don’t already know, tell us a little bit about your character, ‘Dr. Neal Hudson’? RJ: He’s a great character to play and people seem to like watching him too. Dr Hudson is an Attending Physician at our fictional county hospital in Los Angeles. He’s a Brit whose father was a very renowned and very proper British surgeon (who we meet a few episodes in). He’s come to The States to get away from all that and so finds himself practicing much more rough and ready medicine in one of the country’s busiest ER’s. Neal is a very confident, very bright Doctor who’s not afraid to speak his mind. But he also cares deeply about his patients and doesn’t believe in saving their lives at all costs. Not everyone in the ER agrees with that...
BM: Obviously before this you appeared on the iconic “Homeland”. What was your experience like on that show? RJ: I loved every minute of it. They took a big risk transporting the characters we love overseas and setting the season in Pakistan. But thanks to Alex Gansa and the brilliant writing, producing and directing team all the ingredients were there for what became possibly the show’s most celebrated season since its first. Claire Danes continues to be extraordinary and is just as brilliant in the new season that’s airing. It’s wonderful when an actor or actress whose work you admire is as gracious and generous as you’d hoped when you see them on set. If you really look at what an extraordinary emotional acrobatics she performs week in week out you can see just how talented she is. It very easy to play opposite. Much of Khan’s success as a character was thanks to that. BM: Tell me about a time where you had difficulty turning yourself into a character. What was the character and why was it challenging? RJ: I think every character that I’ve ever played has been a challenge. It’s something I relish. Khan on Homeland was challenging because he was a man who needed to keep his cards close to his chest, yet in the end that ambiguity is exactly what made him interesting. Neal Hudson is challenging because the medical procedures he’s doing in many of the scenes need to look like December 2015 - BELLO

they’re second nature, but again in the end how he does that stuff becomes a great insight into who he is. On stage I’ve played characters much further from who I am which is challenging in other ways. Playing the Marquis de Sade night after night can take quite a bit out of you. BM: Do you enjoy the social aspect of being an actor – going to premieres, press junkets and red carpet events? RJ: I’m a social person, so yes. I like talking to people and often at those events you meet people whose work you admire. I really enjoyed being at the Emmys and The SAG awards this year recognizing just how much extraordinary film and television is being produced at the moment. BM: Aside from the shows you have appeared on, what programmes do you enjoy watching? RJ: I have been enjoying Narcos, I like House Of Cards, I’m a big watcher of current affairs programming like Bill Maher and John Oliver. And I’m loving The Late Show with James Corden. I’m also watching a lot of movies at the moment. I’m still reeling from Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro’s performances in Sicario, and Michael Fassbender’s in Jobs. And I’m really looking forward to Hateful Eight. BM: You are so busy in the week acting and shooting. What does your perfect Sunday afternoon look like? RJ: Spending time with Mrs Jaff. The papers. A walk in the hills of LA or along the south bank if we’re in London. And I’m always partial to a Sunday night movie.

HUMAN BEHAVIOR
INTRODUCING CANDACE SILVERS:
Hollywood’s Best Kept Secret BY ARIEL PAREDES (@RELworld)
CANDACE SILVERS HAS BEEN ONE OF HOLLYWOOD’S BEST KEPT SECRETS FOR YEARS, BUT THESE LOOSE LIPS ARE ABOUT TO SPILL. She’s the daughter of legendary Broadway and television star Phil Silvers (The Phil Silvers Show) and Evelyn Patrick, the first Revlon spokeswoman handpicked by Revlon founder Charles Revson. However, this pedigree, as unique as it is, is not what makes her special -- it’s her rep as a trailblazer when it comes to shaping people’s lives and careers as a Human Behavior Specialist.
However, her father’s success on stage and TV gave her a rare perspective. “I would see him on TV, then standing next to me, and there was no difference.
REAL became REEL, so I developed the insight to see that. I never saw him acting or pretending in a job,” she asserts. The natural inclination for Candace was to follow in her father’s footsteps and try making it as an actor, but life got in the way. “Nothing made me want to leave acting and fall into teaching, I went kicking and screaming,” she remembers. “I was 33, a divorced mother of four, and it was time to get a real job.” She would then have weekly get-togethers with her friends, Photo: Frances Iacuzzi
As a young girl, she didn’t realize that her life was atypical. “I didn’t know that my life was special or different,” she
says. “I thought being chauffeured to school in limousines was normal, but looking back as a 54-year-old woman, I can say I was raised so differently than most.” Just how different? Milton Berle lived three doors down from her family, Marilyn Monroe often showed up at their house and -- the icing on the cake -- her father’s best friend for thirty years was Frank Sinatra.

and they would talk about their lives and work, listening to each other’s problems. Eventually, as she recalls, they suggested, “Why don’t you teach, which made me say, ‘Teach what, to whom, and why would anyone come to me?’ but they insisted.” Ultimately she agreed: “Get me ten students, material, and a space. A week later, they had all three!” On her first official class as an acting teacher: “I was so terrified that I cried for two hours afterwards. However, the class just kept growing and growing.” That growth led to an outstanding number of lives changed for the better. Becoming a life coach suited her. After all, she always had an innate gift for helping others. And throughout her two decades of teaching actors, many have gone on to have successful careers like Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother), Chris Evans (Captain America, The Avengers), and Arielle Kebbel (Ballers, Unreal).
It’s not a coincidence her students excel in whatever field they’re pursuing excellence.
Even her own children have been taught to risk. “They don’t know how to be afraid, to try, and to hope because they were raised by me!” Case in point: her eldest son, Phillip Lee, just turned 28 and is fast becoming one of the most successful chefs in the culinary world. His restaurant, The Gadarene Swine, was just named one of the top vegan restaurants in America, and he will be a contender on the upcoming season of Top Chef. “Trying is the absence of doing,” she offers as parting wisdom. “If you take ‘try’ out of your vocabulary, you have no choice but to ‘do.’ It’s terrifying every time, but you’re consistently Christopher Columbus on the high seas.” Learn more about Candace and her classes at candacesilversstudios.com. Lately, she has seen a change in the landscape. “I told my students twenty years ago,” she says, “if you guys don’t raise the stakes and start risking, people will stop watching.” She contends that, as a result, reality TV was born and people wanted to watch other people risk it all. “Actors used to put that risk in their work, but they’ve recently stopped caring and started ‘acting’.” But now that reality TV is arguably hitting a plateau of sorts, it only makes sense that people are seeking risk elsewhere, like on the Internet.
While discussing the rise of talent and celebrity often found on platforms like Snapchat, Vine and YouTube, she offers her views on the trends happening within social media. “People are managing their own lives, designing their own careers, and pioneering a new way of being.” While many people will argue that some of these “stars” don’t have talent once they’re taken outside the YouTube realm, Silvers brings up a good point: “The role they got was the role intended for them. They will stop getting promoted outside of what they are good at.” That said, she often teaches her acting students to risk: “If you’re risking in your own real life, you’re going to learn the opportunity to risk as your character.”

THE WALKING DEAD FRANCHISE HAS TAKEN THE WORLD BY STORM WITH SO MANY TALENTED ACTORS BEING PART OF THIS EPIC AND ADDICTIVE SERIES, INCLUDING OUR COVER GIRL, KATELYN NACON, WHO PLAYS THE ELUSIVE ‘ENID’. FROM HER COLLABORATIVE PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE TO HER LOVE OF ENID’S COMPLEX PSYCHE, NACON SPILLS ALL FOR BELLO THIS DECEMBER.
B: Your character is somewhat of an enigma in ‘The Walking Dead’, is she a spy intervening with the wolves etc. What is your favourite part about playing Enid? K: I can’t tell you exactly what Enid is because that would ruin all the mystery that surrounds her. Also, my favorite part of playing her [is] just getting the chance to act as such a complex character. B: Who are you closest to in ‘The Walking Dead’ cast? K: I wouldn’t really choose one person in particular. Everyone is just really close. It’s a huge family. B: There are so many women (and men) in the TV and film sector who aren’t afraid to speak their minds with regards equality in this industry, with men having more lead roles and most times being paid more etc. As a young actress, this must be quite inspiring that these discussions are happening. What’s your view on this? K: I’m glad that the issue is being talked about, for sure, but I don’t really have that big of an opinion [on] it yet. I’m always happy to see more roles for women. 43
B: Do you have a strong desire to work with any actor in particular in the future?
B: It’s probably been non-stop filming with ‘The Walking Dead’, but what do you have planned this Christmas?
I don’t like fame or a lot of attention, and the closest thing I’ve had to a pet were a few fish. K: Meryl Streep because you know she’s awesome. B: Do you have a quote or saying that you live by? K: No, I just do my best to live as great a life as I can and to be happy. B: Tell us something that your fans don’t already know about you? K: I can close one nostril and not the other. I don’t like fame or a lot of attention, and the closest thing I’ve had to a pet were a few fish. My brother had one [who] was called Baby Fish another Rainbow Fish, and then I can’t remember the rest.
K: Sleeping, eating, and quite time. Also you know, spending time with family and friends. The Walking Dead must be an incredible experience for a young actress, and the fact that you have been cast in this franchise so early on in your career. What sorts of roles do you want to play in the near future? K: Some character that’s complex and interesting, for sure. B: Is there anything else you would like to share with your fans? K: Just thank you for being supportive of what I’m doing. December 2015 - BELLO

Consider this tip an early Christmas gift from us to you: Tucked away in the Wilshire Corridor of West Los Angeles is Tanzy, an Italian garden-style dining spot that serves some of the most unforgettable brunch dishes in the city. The proof is in the “Bacon & Eggs” Ravioli (soft poached hen egg, ricotta cheese, wilted spinach, drizzled in bacon vinaigrette), the grilled Spanish octopus (on a bed of warm potato salad), and a doughnut stack accompanied by a cup of Dulce de leche and cookie crumbles. And if you want to make your meal a little boozy -- because who doesn’t love a proper Sunday Funday? -- go for the bottomless strawberry mimosas while taking in the gorgeous “Balinese forest”-style lounge. And after you’ve ordered an Uber to pick you up, thank Executive Chef Erik Rivera who has brought an undeniably fabulous flair to the Tanzy menu this year, which only means you’ll have to come back for seconds.
