Summer is here! I am thrilled to bring you our first, rebranded, Esplanade Lifestyle Magazine! We are confident these magazines will encompass everything the Esplanade Lifestyle aspires to be. Since day one, I’ve always said that Lifestyle is so much more than hanging out with friends for game nights or happy hour. To live an amazing lifestyle, you have to look within yourself and reflect on how you can make the most out of the lifestyle you’re seeking. Not only will these magazines highlight upcoming activities, but we hope they bring you joy, wellness insights, give you an opportunity to learn about your neighbors, open your mind to giving back to our local community, and perhaps even challenge you to try something new. We understand Fourth of July weekend is always filled with family, fun and sun! That is why we are kicking the holiday off with a BBQ food truck right here in our community! Local BBQ guru, Big Papa will be onsite on Friday, July 2nd. You do not want to miss this – they have rave reviews! Have you ever cruised on a floating tiki bar? I didn’t think so! You’ll be able to cross that off your bucket list after July 17th when you have the opportunity to grab some neighbors and hop on your very own cruisin’ tiki! While we’re on the topic of cruising, be sure to join us on August 20th for a sunset dinner cruise aboard the Marco Princess. Just a friendly reminder, please register for events and activities by the deadlines put forth and please contact us for any activities you can no longer attend. Closed members can log in to our member website to register for activities via the online calendar. Christine Foster YOUR LIFESTYLE MANAGER
C
hristine Foster is your Esplanade by the Islands Lifestyle Manager. In this role, Christine is excited and eager to get to know you in order to implement a fun and active Lifestyle program for this community! Since you’ll be spending so much time together, here are a few fun facts to get to know her better. Christine was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey but has lived in Florida most of her life (since she was 6 years old to be exact), making her a sunshine-loving Floridian! She has lived on Marco Island for the past 26 years, so she is very knowledgeable of the local area. She’s very fortunate to call paradise home and is convinced she is never leaving. In May 2019, she welcomed her first child, a baby girl. Christine is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University with a Resort and Hospitality Degree concentrating in Event Management. The largest event she helped manage/execute was the annual New Year’s Eve Gala as an Activities Manager in another local development prior to joining the Esplanade family. The event would bring in over 1,000 guests every year! During her free time, Christine enjoys date nights with her husband, spending time with her family scattered around South Florida, cuddling her rescue pup, Rupert and online shopping (shocking). During the pandemic, she realized she was missing some of the creative aspects of her career, so she started crafting handmade bows for her daughter. After gaining interest from friends and family members, she started up her online shop and named it after her little girl, Sweet Celina & Co.!

Why did you choose Naples/Esplanade by the Islands? Is your residency full-time or part-time? If part-time, where else do you spend your time? We are living here full-time and we chose Esplanade by the Islands in Naples because we love the floor plan and ability to customize all the features.

What Lifestyle programs are you most interested in? Also, tell us your hobbies. Our hobbies include traveling the world, biking, walking and cooking. Tell us about your family and current or past professions. We are a small family with one daughter who graduated college in 2020 and lives in New York City. We also have a dog (Buddy) who is a golden retriever and is 9 years old. Both of us have held executive positions in the Travel & Cruise business for 25+ years. Preeti: I have held senior positions with a number of tour and airline companies and have started my own travel agency, Journeys360Travel.com, on 5th Avenue, Naples that provides concierge services and insider experiences

at the best value to my clients. Rakesh: I have held executive positions with some luxury tour and cruise travel companies in the US like Tauck, Uniworld, Abercrombie and Kent. I currently work remotely for TripArc as Vice President and overseeing their global procurement for all travel services. What is the best advice you have ever received or given? Life is a gift! Never forget to enjoy and bask in every moment you are in! Where is the most exciting place you've traveled to and what made it so memorable? We are avid travelers and love exploring the world. To name a few, we have traveled to Italy, Greece, Spain, Egypt, Australia, Ireland and every trip was unique in its own way. In 2019, we spent St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland which was an amazing experience. Tell us something about yourself that may surprise people. We have been to places in 6 continents and looking forward to our trip to Antarctica sometime soon.

Brewmaster and owner, Will Lawson explained the history of his brewery and the brewing process. The Naples Beach Brewery was the first microbrewery to open in Southwest Florida!

Avalon Elementary School is a Title 1 school here in Naples where 95% of the students come from low-income families. Habitat Plans Taylor Morrison has teamed up with the National Wildlife Federation to restore and protect wildlife habitats in our communities nationwide! We are applying National Wildlife Federation’s Certified Wildlife Habitat standards to community parks and open spaces to protect natural areas. We are developing Habitat Management Plans for our homeowners’ associations to promote engagement and successful long-term stewardship of these habitats.
DID YOU KNOW? Our partnership advances monarch butterfly recovery efforts by planting and maintaining chemical-free demonstration butterfly gardens, planting native milkweed throughout our communities, and educating the community!

CONTEST From Monday, April 19th to Friday, April 23rd, Esplanade at the Islands celebrated Earth Week! We hosted a fun scavenger hunt to challenge our members to go outside and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds us.
