Letter From the Lifestyle Team
HAYLEY SMITH YOUR LIFESTYLE MANAGER
Happy Holidays!
As the holiday season approaches, we are excited to share the many wonderful events planned for our community. This is a time of gratitude, giving, and connection, and we’ve crafted a calendar of activities to bring us all closer as we celebrate together.
One of the highlights will be our Friendsgiving gathering, where we come together to enjoy each other’s company over a delicious shared meal. We invite everyone to bring a side dish or dessert, creating a feast that represents the diversity and warmth of the community.
For those looking to try something new or brush up on the basics, we are thrilled to host Pickleball 101 - an introductory event for new players. It’s a great opportunity to get active and meet fellow Members.
We’ll also be hosting Fall in Love with Wellness, an
expo introducing Members to local wellness providers in our area. This is the perfect chance to explore services that can help you stay healthy and balanced during the holiday season and beyond.
Finally, we are proud to again host the Salvation Army Angel Tree. This initiative gives each of us the chance to make the holidays magical for local children in need. By participating, you can help brighten the season for a child and ensure they experience the joy and spirit of the holidays.
We look forward to sharing these moments with you and making this holiday season one to remember.
Linda Zuffa
The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.
Linda Zuffa grew up in Indiana in a suburb of Chicago to parents who were professional musicians. After graduating from Indiana State University, she taught school for a year then moved to New York and went into advertising and marketing. Linda lived in New York for 10 years during which she met and married the love of her life, Mark Miller.
They moved to Philadelphia where she was the Director of Marketing for The Franklin Mint, and had their first child, Brittany. After moving to Bronxville, a suburb of New York, their second child, Ryan was born. Their family moved around and were able to experience Tokyo, Grosse Pointe (Detroit area), and Highland Park in Dallas.
Upon finding out about the move to Dallas, Linda said she wanted a pool, a convertible, and a horse. They moved into a historic home on a lot about the same size as the one here in Esplanade. Unfortunately, not everything is bigger in Texas, and she had to let go of her dream of owning a horse. After moving back to the East Coast in Greenwich, CT, for a time, they moved full-time to University Park, FL in 2006.
Linda changed careers and became a realtor in 2008 after becoming an empty-nester. She has earned the Five Star Award for excellent Customer Service for the past 11 years. Sadly, her husband passed away at the end of 2019 from cancer. During Covid, in 2021, Linda invited two fur babies into her life. Their names are ZZ and Bobo
(brother and sister Maltese dogs).
In her spare time, she sits on the corporate board for JUST FOR GIRLS, an organization that works with at-risk girls in Manatee County by providing charter schools and alternative education (including after-school and summer programs) to build strong, confident and successful women.
Linda made her thirtieth (and final) move to this community. She patiently waited until almost the end of 2021 for one of the targeted lots to open here at Esplanade at The Heights. She loves her house, neighbors, amenities, activities, and is so grateful to be living here!
