As we welcome May and June and begin to transition into summertime, there are numerous exciting developments at Esplanade by the Islands! We recently celebrated the Grand Opening of our sports courts and enjoyed our first pickleball social. We are eagerly anticipating the opening of our other amenities.

To stay informed about all the latest happenings, simply log onto your Member calendar or subscribe to our weekly eblasts. If you do not have access to the website or are not receiving the community emails, please contact your Lifestyle Manager for assistance with registration.

Our Lifestyle here at Esplanade by the Islands will continue to evolve as the community grows. The Lifestyle team encourages Members to share their interests and ideas for unique clubs and events, both on and off-site. We love hearing about events that Members would like to see again, as well as fresh ideas for new events. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Lifestyle team to brainstorm ideas for the future.

Remember, it is important to register for each event so your Lifestyle team can properly prepare. If you find yourself unable to attend an event you’ve registered to, please reach out to your Lifestyle team so they can notify a Member on the waitlist.

Meet Lucy

LOVED BY DALE & GAIL NAGEL

Lucy is a Labrador Retriever and turned five years old on her birthday, April 4. Spending time with people and being spoiled is what she enjoys the most. She grew up in Maryland, enjoys chasing squirrels (or anything that moves) and swimming in the pool. Lucy’s cousin, Jax (a chocolate lab) lives across the street and we play together whenever we can. When we’re in Naples, she likes to take long walks and enjoys meeting neighborhood friends. She loves to play in the dog park with many friends, where she is known for retrieving two balls at once. When Lucy is at home or in the car, she gets in trouble for barking. She is really scared of most things ... even small dogs. Luncy is good natured, smart, lovable and always hungry.

Based in San Diego, CA, I’ve worked with Cisco Corporation’s systems team. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I earned an associate degree in electronics from Pennco Tech and pursued additional studies at Temple University and Penn State University. After spending 26 years in San Diego, I relocated to Florida in May of 2022. I also lived in Durham, NY, for two years, managing a home improvement business. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and pickleball, transitioning from a lifelong passion for hockey after retiring due to an injury.

Fish & Wildlife Foundation

The Fish & Wildlife Foundation in Florida, Inc. was formed on September 29, 1994, as a nonprofit organization to support the health and well-being of Florida’s fish and wildlife resources and their habits.

They are the citizen-support organization of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and work with a variety of other public and private organizations to achieve science-based conversation, research, education, and outdoor recreation goals. Their grantmaking traditionally focuses on providing outdoor education recreation opportunities for youth, combatting invasive species like lionfish, improving management of wildlife habits and fisheries, protecting Florida’s freshwater springs, and improving public access to hunting, fishing, and boating resources.

Luxe & Luck Casino Night SIGNATURE EVENT

Our Casino Signature Event was truly spectacular. Members enjoyed the elegant atmosphere of a VIP Lounge with a champagne fountain, complemented by a delightful Seafood Tower and catered cuisine. The evening featured entertainment with card tables, slot machines, a Vegas-style performance, and a captivating mentalist, ensuring an enjoyable and engaging experience for all.

Cooking & Cocktail Series GNOCCHI

The Cooking and Cocktail Series: The Simplicity of Gnocchi was another hit, filled with excitement and fun. Congratulations to our lucky winner who received an Esplanade Chef’s Coat by correctly answering a series of questions asked by Patrick.
