PET FEATURE / CONCIERGE
Furry Friends MEET Coco Marie LOVED BY CLAUDINE ANDOLA What is the age and breed of your pet? Coco Marie is a three-year-old Cockapoo. How did you come into each others’ lives? Claudine discovered Coco Marie’s photo on the internet. Coco Marie is from Virginia and they met half way at a McDonald's. Once they met, it was love at first sight. And don’t worry, they “didn’t get her in the drive thru!” What is her favorite treat? Dried jerk chicken strip. Can she do any fun tricks? She can sit, lay down, and roll over. We are currently working on catching a frisbee. So make sure to catch her at the dog park!
HAVE A Furry FAMILY MEMBER? Contact your Lifestyle Manager, Lexi Ringwood at LRingwood@ Evergreen-LM.com, to be featured in the next edition of the Lifestyle Magazine. MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Claudine Andola The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.
What made you pick Esplanade at Tradition to be your new home? Part of the reason is because it was brand new and I could be one of the first to move in. I liked that I would get to be a part of the beginning and help grow the community.
Q A
What are some of your interests? I love to read, so I am excited about book club. I also enjoy being outdoors and playing pickleball and tennis. What is something about Esplanade at Tradition that stood out to you? I liked that it was an active adult community because there would be neighbors with similar interests to mine. I want to continue to learn more about how to invest later on in life. I also find the overall Wellness aspect of the Esplanade Lifestyle to be very intriguing, and I look forward to attending the wellness seminars that Esplanade at Tradition offers. Overall, I just love being a part of a community! What do you do? I work from home as an attorney for the U.S. Army in Labor Employment Law.
What made you want to do that? I knew I wanted to get into law after I saw To Kill a Mockingbird as a young girl. I went to law school, then got a job in Tampa practicing and found that it was not a good fit for me. This was supposed to be the pinnacle of my dream come true and now what? So, I researched what I could do. That’s when I decided to become an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. I served for 19 1/2 years. Most interesting place you have been to and why? South Korea, it is mountainous. It can be very cold in the winter and yet very hot in the summer. You can be in the rural country or in a busy downtown city like Seoul. There’s a little bit of everything. Korea was just so different. They are very honorable people that want to serve and please their customers. It was a very interesting to experience the different culture. Anything else you want your new neighbors to know about you? I like entertaining and am looking forward to meeting everyone as this community grows. This is going to be a great place to live!

Comfy Day & Self-Care Recipes
O
n February 20, National Comfy Day gives us all permission to get comfortable! We all deserve a day to get cozy in our favorite spot and relax. Short for comfortable, comfy is a word we use to describe the places and things that make us the most at ease. At the end of the day, we are all connected by a desire to be comfy. Some are drawn to their favorite blanket. Others define comfy by a sandy beach in the sunshine. Our beloved pets and special sweater add to our comfy satisfaction, too. Combine a little ambiance and take out, and the comfy level improves even more. National Comfy Day is all about achieving the perfect level of comfy and celebrating it to its fullest! Before partaking in National Comfy Day “activities,” here are some natural skincare recipes to get you started.

Chocolate LAVA CAKE FOR TWO INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
» »
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Butter two 6-ounce ramekins or oven-safe mugs and place on a baking sheet. Set aside. 3. In a medium bowl add in the butter and chocolate. Gently melt in the microwave. 4. Once melted, whisk in the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and coffee until well combined. 5. Lastly, stir in the flour and salt. Mix until just combined. Evenly divide the batter between the two prepared dishes. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or just until there is a jiggle in the center and the edges are set. A soft center ensures lovely, lava on the inside. 7. Remove from the oven and allow to stand for one minute before carefully turning out each cake onto a serving dish. Enjoy straight away with some vanilla ice cream.
