Linda Rickles YOUR COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGER
L
inda was born in Camden, New Jersey, and grew up in a military family along with four sisters. Her teenage years were spent in Newport News, Virginia, where she developed a love for the vibrant colors and cooler weather, making it a favorite destination for her in the autumn. Linda moved to Florida in 1982, and found her forever home here in Port St. Lucie, proclaiming, “The beach is my happy place, and I try to go as much as I can.” Family time is most important to Linda. She has two adult sons, aged 33 and 31, who were raised in Loxahatchee, FL. Her eldest son resides in Nevada with his family and was an Olympian at the 2021 Games in Japan. Meanwhile, her youngest son serves as an RN in the Trauma Department at St. Mary’s Hospital. Linda is also a grandmother to three grandchildren aged seven, five and one, who have completely stolen her heart. At home, she is accompanied by her fur baby named Wendy. Linda’s professional journey in Florida began at Waterbed City, which later evolved into City Furniture, where she dedicated sixteen years. Following this, she ventured into entrepreneurship owning a mortgage company in West Palm Beach. For the past decade, Linda has excelled in property management, with three years in the commercial sector with Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky, followed by seven years in residential. Linda enjoys working with people and shares, “I want to thank everyone for such a warm welcome. I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to be a part of the Esplanade Family!

Furry Friends Meet October
LOVED BY LOU & ELSA PALEFSKY I’m October Palefsky, and I’m sure you’re curious about my name. Born in August but adopted at 8 weeks old in the month of October, my mama and papa, unsure of what to name me, found inspiration in the blessing of that month. With birthdays, an anniversary, and my adoption, October became the perfect fit! Allow me to introduce myself - I’m a two-year-old labradoodle, known for my handsome appearance, soft cuddles and love for playtime with my neighborhood pals like Milo, Autumn, Tate, Ally, and Tex. If you spot me during your stroll, don’t hesitate to say hello; I’m always up for making new friends. On a personal note, I happen to be my mama’s pride and joy. During her two-week trip to Italy, she watched me diligently on the puppy cam, missing me dearly. Upon her return, I made sure to express my excitement.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Lenny & Jen Cinquegrano The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people who call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager. The couple recently joined Astor Creek Golf Club and closed on their new home in early November. They settled in just in time for the holidays. As the winter season unfolds, Lenny and Jen look forward to ample golfing opportunities, along with indulging in biking, travel, fishing, and culinary delights. Eager to embrace the Esplanade Lifestyle, they anticipate building lasting connections with their neighbors in their new community.
L
enny Cinquegrano and Jen (Scatcherd) Cinquegrano embarked on their search for a Florida home more than a decade ago, ignited by their shared love for golf. Having met on a golf course in 2010, where Lenny served as the General Manager, the couple yearned for a warmer climate that would allow them to indulge in their passion year-round. When their daughter Mia headed to college, it was time to head south. Mia is now a junior at The College of New Jersey majoring in Psychology and visits several times a year! Jen grew up in Fort Lauderdale, and had family in DeLand, while Lenny, growing up in Hingham, Massachusetts, had roots in both Massachusetts and Florida. Facing a multitude of choices from Citrus County to Charlotte County on the West Coast and St. Augustine to Port Saint Lucie on the East Coast, the couple explored their options. Ultimately, they found their ideal home in Port St. Lucie, specifically within the welcoming community of Esplanade at Tradition. Jen, with over 30 years of service, continues her part-time role with a hospital system in New Jersey. Lenny, after more than two decades in business operations and consulting, transitioned to woodworking and furniture making in New Jersey, complemented by a part-time role at a PGA Golf Club. His passion for crafting furniture extends to their new home.

FITNESS / WELLNESS
5 Components of Fitness Success 1. Put in the effort every day. Even if it’s the smallest amount, a little is better than nothing. 2. Use the right exercise equipment. Having the correct gear can help you avoid injuries and keep you on the right path to meeting your fitness goals. Make sure you wear properly fitted footwear and headwear for the activities you participate in. 3. Realize and understand what motivates you. Concentrating on what motivates you can help you continue your fitness journey. 4. Focus on that feel-good feeling. Think about how you want to feel, rather than what you want to look like. 5. Value YOUR time. When you tell yourself you don’t have time or you’re too busy to achieve your fitness goals, but readily prioritize the needs of others over your own when other people ask for your time, make self-care a priority. This ensures that you will then, in turn, give your best to others.
Wellness Tips & Self-Love Challenge
W
ith the start of a new year, it’s a fresh chance to begin prioritizing your wellness efforts for a healthier year. Here are some ways to incorporate healthy habits into your everyday life: » Start the day with a glass of water and lemon to aid digestion and flush out toxins. » Begin your day with something that stimulates and motivates you to set a positive tone for the day. » Get a good amount of sleep to improve overall well-being. » Eat foods that do not contain additives to make you healthier and feel better. » Take your vitamins! Talk to your doctor and read the labels to make sure you’re taking what your body needs. How often do we go out of our way for other people, but neglect ourselves? Esplanade has a challenge for you! Take a moment for self-care every day for 14 days. You can: » Treat yourself to flowers. » Establish healthier boundaries (feel empowered to say “no” more often). » Practice gratitude. » Treat yourself. » Declutter your living space. » Enjoy a massage or facial. » Explore a salt room. » Engage in mediation.
