Mathu Harpell
YOUR WELLNESS ATTENDANT
Growing up in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, in a family grounded by faith and resilience, life has always been an adventure filled with ambition, dedication, and a humble sense of self. Now living in Florida, having moved in my early teens, I reflect on the journey that has brought me to this point—a journey that’s been deeply influenced by my faith, family, and a lifelong passion for fitness.
As a very faithful Orthodox Christian, my beliefs have been central to everything I do. Faith isn’t just a part of my life; it’s a guiding force that shapes my perspective and priorities. Being married with two wonderful kids, I’ve come to see life as a blend of responsibilities, spiritual growth, and the constant balancing act that comes with raising a family. The support and joy that family provides has been a blessing, keeping me anchored through all the ups and downs of life.
My career journey began with my very first job in the fitness industry. I’ve been fortunate to work in gym-related roles ever since, gaining hands-on experience in every area imaginable. From cleaning gym floors and fixing equipment to selling memberships and personal training, each role has taught me something invaluable. Every task, no matter how big or small, is part of what makes a gym a welcoming and efficient place for members.
Through these years in the gym world, my love for fitness has only grown. The discipline, the routine, and the community are more than just aspects of a job; they’re a way of life. This is why my dream to
turn pro in bodybuilding has become such an important goal for me. It’s a personal challenge that combines my passion, hard work, and dedication to the fitness lifestyle.
In both life and fitness, my perspective is simple yet profound: “I’m a grain of sand on a beach.” This outlook keeps me grounded. It reminds me that no matter what achievements I strive for, there’s a larger picture beyond me. My goal is to embrace that humility and continue pursuing my dreams, knowing that each step forward is part of something much bigger. Whether I’m working with clients, setting new personal records, or spending time with my family, I’m grateful for each moment and each opportunity. My journey is ongoing, and I’m excited to see where my faith, family, and commitment to fitness will lead me next.

Furry Friends
Meet Tootles
LOVED BY JOYCE & CHARLES SPATZ
Our journey to find Tootles began last July 1 in the quaint town of Frostproof, FL, after a challenging 75-mile drive through a relentless summer storm. The moment we arrived, our spirits lifted as we were greeted by four beautiful, medium Goldendoodle puppies. Each one had its own charm, but only one captured our hearts with affectionate kisses and enthusiastic tail wags. That’s how we found Tootles, a lively little furball who weighed just 7 pounds at the time—mostly paws!
The name “Tootles” was lovingly given by our grandson, Jordan. Now, six months later, Tootles has grown to a robust 24 pounds, and with that growth comes endless energy and playful antics. Like most puppies, he’s curious about everything, eager to explore the world around him and sometimes that enthusiasm shows up as a firm “yes” to every “no” we give.
Being part Golden Retriever, Tootles has a natural love for chasing birds, bounding across the yard in pursuit of his feathered friends. He’s also a fan of catch, though the game is often cut short by whatever happens to catch his attention next. Like any puppy, he’s also keen on chewing, whether it’s a toy, an arm, or, in one memorable habit, the back of our shorts during walks (we like to think he was just trying to add a bit of ventilation!). Speaking of walks, Tootles also has a knack for finding little treasures along the way. We’ve become quite familiar with the art of probing his mouth to retrieve whatever odd item he decides to pick up.
Despite his mischievous streak, Tootles is a bundle of love. He craves attention, and though he keeps us on our toes, the joy and affection he brings into our lives makes every chew mark and distraction worth it. We just hope he stops growing soon! Tootles, in all his playful glory, is not just a pet. He’s family, and like all dogs, the love he gives far outweighs any challenge he presents. Here’s to the many adventures to come, puppy teeth and all!

The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Resort Manager.
Some people seem to have a gift for transformation, seamlessly transitioning from one chapter of life to another while leaving an indelible mark wherever they go. Corinne Pierson Blanchette is that person. From her beginnings in hospitality to her flourishing career in real estate, and now as an emerging artist, Corinne’s story is one of persistence, reinvention, and a relentless drive to create meaningful experiences.
Corinne’s journey began in the vibrant world of hospitality as a hotel concierge. Here, she learned the art of crafting unforgettable experiences for guests, a skill that became her hallmark. Seeking new challenges, she took to the skies as a flight attendant, where she navigated high-pressure situations with grace and precision, ensuring comfort and care for her passengers.
Her path then led her to catering, a career that allowed her to channel her love for hosting into curating memorable gatherings. “Making people feel welcomed and cared for has always been at the heart of what I do,” Corinne shares.
As a mother, Corinne’s empathetic nature found a new avenue in postpartum care. She became an accredited doula, earning certifications from a local New Jersey hospital and the International Doula Institute. Her work with new mothers was deeply personal, blending her nurturing instincts with practical expertise to create organized, peaceful, and healthy home settings.
“I loved being able to guide families through such a transformative time,” Corinne recalls. “Helping new moms find their rhythm and confidence was incredibly rewarding.”
For the past 25 years, Corinne has thrived in real estate, discovering a new passion for guiding clients through life-changing investments. Licensed in New Jersey since 1999 and Florida since 2014, she has carved out a reputation as a skilled negotiator and marketing expert. Corinne’s success in real estate stems from her ability to connect with clients on a personal level. Whether staging a home for maximum appeal or navigating the complexities of custom builds and renovations, her dedication shines through. “My goal is always to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible,” Corinne explains. “There’s nothing like seeing the joy on a client’s face when they find their dream home.”
In her 60s, Corinne rekindled a long-dormant love for art, rediscovering her creative voice through painting. Her work, inspired by decades of rich life experience, is characterized by vibrant colors and textures
that bring her subjects—often beloved pets—to life. “I always knew I had an artistic side, but it wasn’t until recently that I gave myself permission to explore it fully,” she says. “It’s been incredibly freeing to dive back into this passion and see where it takes me.”
Corinne’s personality is as vibrant as her artwork—warm, determined, and endlessly curious. Her life’s work has been about making people feel supported and valued, whether as a concierge, a doula, a real estate agent, or now, as an artist. “I believe in living fully and embracing each chapter as it comes,” Corinne reflects. “Life is about growth, connection, and finding joy in the journey.”
As she continues to explore her creative pursuits, Corinne’s story is a testament to the power of reinvention and the beauty of a life dedicated to serving others. Whether helping clients find their dream home or creating custom art pieces, Corinne brings the same passion and care to every endeavor—a true Renaissance woman whose legacy is as inspiring as it is enduring.
