As the holiday season approaches, your Lifestyle team is thrilled to share an exciting lineup of events planned for November and December. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the close of another memorable year at Esplanade at Tradition.

First up, we have a special Tribute to the Rolling Stones at Summer Crush Winery—an unforgettable night of rock and roll. Then, gather your friends and family for a heartwarming Friendsgiving followed by our monthly Happy Hour , featuring the relaxing rhythms of steel drums.

For the fitness enthusiasts, lace up for our Wellness Walk to Fight Hunger and 5K Turkey Trot . For those seeking a little adventure on the high seas, join us for a Deep Sea Fishing trip in Fort Pierce and lunch before heading home to share your fish stories.

As we move into December, don’t miss our end-of-year Signature Event: It’s a Wonderful Life , a tribute to the spirit of the holiday season and our first ever Jingle Bell 5K . Of course, no celebration would be complete without the culinary delights of our beloved Toasted Café, where you’ll indulge in delicious smoothies and java creations specially crafted for this festive time.

Join us as we wrap up another incredible year at Esplanade, where unity, joy, and community spirit reign supreme. Let’s make the most of every moment together. Cheers to a season filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable experiences!

Furry Friends

Meet Beau

In a world where pets are often considered part of the family, few can claim the royal heritage and luxurious lifestyle of Beau, an elegant King Charles Cavalier. With a lineage tracing back to King Charles II, Beau’s breed is steeped in history, enjoying a unique privilege as the only dogs allowed in Parliament—a law that has stood since the 17th century.

As Beau approaches his 12th birthday this February, he continues to live a life most dogs—and even some humans—could only dream of. His days are filled with adventure, exploration, and the unwavering love of his devoted owner, Karen. Together, they have traveled the globe, experiencing new cultures and landscapes, all while ensuring that Beau remains in the utmost comfort that a well-loved pet deserves.

Beau’s favorite pastimes include golfing, a sport where he is as much at home on the greens as any seasoned player. When not on the course, he’s often found flying with Bark Airlines, the premier airline for pets, ensuring his journeys are as smooth as possible. Snuggling is another of Beau’s cherished activities, especially after a day filled with excitement, and let’s not forget his daily indulgence—a Pup Cup—served with the reverence due to his aristocratic status.

One of Beau’s most endearing quirks is his love for his daily bone, which he handles with the finesse of a cigar aficionado. This regal behavior further cements his status as a true canine gentleman. In his previous community, Beau even had his own golf cart, an essential accessory for any distinguished dog. Now, as he settles into life at Esplanade, the search is on for a new set of wheels to continue his stately excursions.

Karen, Beau’s loving “mommy,” spares no effort in ensuring his happiness and well-being. Her dedication to her four-legged companion is evident in the way she speaks of him, with a love that knows no bounds. Their bond is a testament to the joy and fulfillment that pets bring into our lives.

As Beau continues to grace the world with his charm and elegance, those who meet him can’t help but be captivated by his royal presence. His story is one of adventure, love, and the timeless connection between a dog and their owner—a true tale of canine aristocracy.

If you have any recommendations for Beau’s next golf cart at Esplanade, don’t hesitate to share. This regal pup is always on the lookout for ways to enhance his luxurious lifestyle. After all, nothing but the best will do for a King Charles Cavalier of Beau’s standing.

SEnhancing Flexibility & Well-Being

tretching is more than just a warm-up or cool-down routine; it’s a vital component of maintaining flexibility, improving circulation, and promoting overall well-being. Here are some intriguing fun facts about stretching that highlight its benefits and importance:

1. Ancient Origins: Stretching has been practiced for centuries across various cultures as part of physical fitness and wellness routines. Ancient yoga texts, for instance, describe stretching poses that are still practiced today.

2. Improved Blood Flow: Stretching increases blood flow to muscles, delivering nutrients and oxygen while helping to remove metabolic waste products. This contributes to muscle recovery and overall vitality.

3. Mental Relaxation: Stretching not only benefits the body, but also calms the mind. Techniques such as yoga and tai chi incorporate stretching with breathing exercises to reduce stress and promote mental clarity.

4. Enhanced Range of Motion: Regular stretching improves flexibility, allowing joints to move through their full range of motion. This can improve posture, reduce the risk of injury, and enhance athletic performance.

5. Ageless Benefits: Regardless of age, stretching is beneficial. It helps older adults maintain mobility and joint health, while children and adolescents can improve their flexibility as they grow.

6. Workplace Wellness: Incorporating stretching breaks into the workday can alleviate muscle tension caused by prolonged sitting

or repetitive movements. Simple stretches at your desk can refresh both body and mind.

7. Dynamic vs. Static: There are different types of stretching techniques. Static stretching involves holding a stretch position, while dynamic stretching involves moving parts of your body through a full range of motion. Both have their benefits depending on the context and goals.

8. Post-Exercise Recovery: Stretching after exercising helps muscles relax and return to their optimal length. It aids in preventing muscle soreness and stiffness, promoting faster recovery.

9. Social Benefits: Stretching can be a social activity. Classes like group yoga or Pilates sessions encourage camaraderie and motivation among participants, fostering a supportive fitness community.

10. Daily Practice: Consistency is key to reaping the benefits of stretching. Incorporating a few minutes of stretching into your daily routine, whether in the morning or before bedtime, can contribute to long-term flexibility and relaxation.

Stretching is not only beneficial for physical health but also enhances mental well-being and promotes a balanced lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to improve flexibility, relieve stress, or enhance recovery, incorporating regular stretching into your routine can have profound and positive effects on your overall health. Embrace the fun and rewarding practice of stretching to nurture your body and mind. Register today for one of our yoga or mobility and flexibility classes and feel the benefits of stretching.

Help Backyard Wildlife

As the weather gets colder, it’s the perfect time for you and your family to step outside and help local wildlife prepare for winter. Many of the beneficial insects, birds, and small animals in your backyard may find it harder to find shelter, water, and food in the coming months. The best way to feed all wildlife is by planting native plants and shrubs. Birds are the only wild animals you should feed artificially. Scan the QR code to discover additional ways you can make a difference and learn about the wildlife in your area with the National Wildlife Federation.
