Letter From the Lifestyle Team
ANGELITA HORTON YOUR LIFESTYLE MANAGER
Happy Holidays!
Embrace the cozy vibes and colorful leaves—fall is here to enchant us!
As your Lifestyle Manager, I thrive on curating memorable experiences, and with the holiday season fast approaching, my excitement is at an all-time high! This year, I have an array of enchanting events lined up, from festive gatherings to intimate celebrations that embrace the spirit of the season. Whether it’s organizing dazzling holiday parties, coordinating gift-giving initiatives, or planning cozy gatherings with friends and family, I’m eager to infuse each occasion with joy and creativity. The holidays are all about connection and celebration, and I can’t wait to bring our Members’ visions to life, making this season truly special for everyone involved!
We’ve stayed busy in the recent months. To support Breast Cancer Awareness, our Caring Neighbors group organized several fundraising events. We also hosted a lively Zumba fundraiser, encouraging community participation through exercise and fun. A Karaoke Night followed, where Members sang their hearts out while raising funds for the cause. In addition, we held a BBQ and Dessert Auction, where delicious food and homemade desserts were auctioned off to raise more money. To top off the event, we had the honor of welcoming Anna Gasztold, the Senior Development Manager of Making Strides of Pasco County, who shared her insights and inspired everyone to get involved in the fight against breast cancer.
We look forward to the exciting events planned for the rest of the year, Hope to see you there!
Frank & Belinda Morales
The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.
Why did you choose Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch?
Q ANine years ago when we retired, we moved from California to Florida so we could be close to our family. We had a house built in New Tampa and enjoyed it, but we were ready to simplify our life. So, we decided to look for a 55+ community. One of the first communities we looked at was EWR and, while we immediately loved it, we didn’t move forward on purchasing a home right away. Something kept drawing us back and on Frank’s last birthday, we pulled the trigger and made our purchase. Frank loves the gym, I love to swim in the beautiful pool, and we love playing ping pong and pool afterwards. We look forward to enjoying all the activities.
What is the most exciting place you have traveled to and what made it so memorable?
The most memorable place we visited was Jamaica because it was our honeymoon trip. After all the work of planning a wedding, it was great to relax and enjoy the Sandals Resort that was known for hosting honeymooners. I remember laying out on the beach and observing all the other guests who were laying out as well. What struck me back then is how they kept casually holding up their hands to observe their shiny new wedding bands. We all had a lot in common, and I still chuckle when I think about it. We also had a few years where several couples from our Mustang Club went on cruises together. We traveled to Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean. What made these trips so memorable was enjoying them with a large group of friends. We went on tours, ate (a lot) and played a ton of fun games together, but most of all we laughed continuously. I still smile when I think
of how much fun we had. It was wonderful to go on these cruise vacations with a group of friends!
What
are your hobbies?
When Frank and I first got married, Frank was the president of a local Ford Mustang Club in California. It was a great hobby and one that we could do together. We met fellow Mustang enthusiasts and made the greatest friendships, the kind that last a lifetime. The first 25 years of our marriage were spent working hard and enjoying that club in our spare time. When we moved to Florida, we said we weren’t going to volunteer for anything just to give ourselves a break. But apparently, we can’t seem to help ourselves. Within a couple of years Frank was the president of a local Mustang Club here in Tampa, and I was his right-hand gal (once again)! We have always loved the Wesley Chapel area, so after a couple of years we decided to start a new Mustang Club. It’s called Bay Area Mustangs (or “BAM!” as we enjoy calling it). We also love to give back to the community, so we set up our club as a 501(c)(3) charity as well. We partnered with Parks Ford and they sponsor and host our annual charity car show, as well as host a monthly Rise and Shine. We love giving back to our community while showing cars and having fun with friends. We’re honored to support many local charities.
Are you retired?
Frank and I have been retired for nine years now and we love it, but who doesn’t? They say that once you retire you’re busier than ever, and that is certainly true. I don’t know (or maybe I just don’t recall) how we did it when we worked and ran a club at the same time. Frank was in sales and worked as a Fleet Manager for a Ford Dealership. It was really a perfect job for him because the Ford Dealership, and local Ford companies, were great supporters of our Mustang Club and great sponsors as well. I stayed in the aerospace industry and ended my career working as a Contracts Specialist for Boeing. When not busy with Mustang Club activities, I love to write, read and, since retiring, I have found my creative side with planning parties, and coming up with creative ideas and gifts to share at our various activities. Frank loves being active and keeping busy, and he is especially looking forward to learning pickleball. Most of all, Frank loves to make people laugh and he has a naturally funny side to him. Our Mustang Club members particularly enjoy our monthly “Gatherings” and love to say that after a “Gathering” they feel like they’ve been at a party because Frank makes them laugh so much.

Meet Gracie
LOVED BY THE DOMBROWSKI FAMILY
Meet Gracie, the delightful two-year-old Bernedoodle who’s already a familiar face around Garofalo. Proudly owned by Glenn and Andrea Dombrowski, Gracie was adopted as a puppy from a local rescue. Originally a country pup, she left behind her friends—miniature horses, a donkey, and thoroughbreds—when she made the move to Esplanade. Now, as a city dog, Gracie fills her days with long walks (weather permitting), playtime with her many furry friends at the bark park, and, most importantly, masterful snuggling. She truly knows how to cozy up!

YOUR LIFESTYLE CONCIERGE & TOASTED CAFÉ TEAM MEMBER
Irecently graduated high school and started my new educational endeavor. Navigating college has been a challenge, but I’m staying positive and focused on the future. Currently, I’m at Pasco Hernando State College, working towards my AA. After that, I plan to transfer to the University of Florida to further my education, with the goal of attending law school and becoming a criminal defense attorney.
In the meantime, I work as both a Lifestyle Concierge and at Toasted Café. As a Lifestyle Concierge, I enjoy engaging with current and prospective Members, answering their questions, and even giving tours. I also love participating in the fun classes and events at the Bark Park organized by Angelita. At Toasted Café, I learn something new every day while helping create a resort-style experience for our Members. It’s a vibrant environment where we can suggest new items and explore creative culinary ideas. I truly enjoy both roles.
A fun fact about me is I once broke my femur, which is considered one of the hardest bones to break in the body! I enjoy working with the Esplanade at Wiregrass team and providing service to our Members.

Green Hour
Encouraging kids of all ages to spend time every day discovering the wonders of our world!
The National Wildlife Federation’s Green Hour program is designed to encourage parents, schools, childcare centers, park agencies, camps, grandparents, and others to adopt a goal of one hour each day for children to play and learn outdoors in nature. Getting kids outside has never been more important. That’s why we’ve teamed up with L.L.Bean to provide kids and families with safe, fun, and easy activities to do outdoors. Each week we will provide new activities for connecting kids to nature—from creating a nature notebook to becoming a wildlife detective, and getting creative with leaves, nature’s opportunities are endless.
