Letter From the Lifestyle Team A Season of Vibrancy & Renewal

It’s wonderful to see so many of our Members embracing everything Lake Club has to offer this season. Whether you’re unwinding by the pool or perfecting your rally on the the courts, we love seeing you make the most of our incredible amenities.

March and April are packed with exciting opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors. From engaging seminars on brain health and community safety with our local sheriff’s office to festive holiday celebrations and our much-anticipated Signature Event, Born to Rock, there’s something fun for everyone. Don’t miss out on all the fun. Join us and make the most of this vibrant season at Lake Club!

One of the best things about Esplanade Lake Club is that there are so many Members with different interests and hobbies. If you have a particular interest that you would like to share with your friends and neighbors, we have multiple opportunities to become a club leader.

All you have to do is share your interest with your Lifestyle Manager and I will assist with getting your club started by getting you the interest group and club information packet, assisting with choosing dates and times that work best for your group, and by helping promote it to all of the Members of the community. The variety of clubs are endless; let’s build a great social program together!

As you review the upcoming activities and events on the interactive calendar, please remember to register for any events and activities you would like to attend. This helps tremendously in making sure all activities are executed flawlessly and all who sign up to attend are accommodated.

LUCKY PET SUPPLY DRIVE

Throughout the Month of March The Venue

This month make a difference in the lives of animals in need by joining our Lucky Pet Supplies Drive! We’re collecting essential items such as food, toys, bedding, and grooming supplies to support a local shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society. Your donations will help provide comfort and care to pets waiting for their forever homes. Drop off your contributions at The Venue and be a part of this heartfelt effort to support our furry friends!

Furry Friends

Meet Oso

LOVED BY OUR RESORT MANAGER TONY & JULIE SAHYOUN

What is your pet’s name, breed, age and birthday?

Oso is a recent rescue and is about 11 years old. His birthday is unknown as he was at the shelter for over 3 years before Tony and Julie brought him home. He is a Chihuahua mix.

What is your pet’s favorite treat and pastime?

Oso is addicted to ham and turkey and unlike many dogs he is not a fan of peanut butter. Oso enjoys a good nap and supervising Julie while she works from home.

Tell us one special thing about your pet?

Oso consistently gets into arguments with his own tail multiple times a day. He also does a bang-up job pre rinsing plates before they go into the dishwasher.

Anything else you want us to know about your pet?

After coming home to the Sahyoun household, Oso was trained by Bark Busters Home Dog Training and is learning to be a part of the family after being in a shelter for so long.

YOUR LINE COOK

Hilin Etienne, born on December 31, 1966 in the vibrant city of Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, is a man who brings warmth and joy to everyone around him. A devoted father of seven, Hilin thrives on spending quality time with friends and family, often enjoying a friendly game of cards or dominoes during his leisure hours. His love for good company is matched only by his passion for great food—especially fresh salads paired with perfectly grilled steak.

Hilin’s journey with Esplanade Lake Club, where he has been a valued team member for a year and a half, has only deepened his appreciation for the warm, welcoming atmosphere he’s found there. He takes great pride in the art of cooking, particularly burgers and steaks, and nothing brings him more satisfaction than knowing how much members delight in his culinary creations. Sandy & Hovan Asdourian

The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.

Sandy and Hovan Asdourian are Esplanade Envoy Members. Sandy is originally from Cleveland and Hovan moved to the U.S. from Lebanon. They moved many times around the country including overseas and have lived in Boston, Massachusetts, Rochester, New York, Carmel, Indiana, the East Coast of Florida, Chicago, and Seattle. The Asdourians returned to Florida because they missed the warm weather and happily found Esplanade Lake Club. They wanted something new and determined that in a new community, they would start again with new lives and friends.

The Asdourians shared that the location is perfect, and Esplanade has not disappointed them. They love the people here and say the staff is exceptional. Sandy participates in classes and takes advantage of the gym, the beautiful pool, the magnificent sunsets over Lake Como and the Signature Events. Hovan also participates and enjoys the pool, pickleball and tennis. They are very proud to introduce new Members to the Esplanade lifestyle in this amazing community.
