I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for such an incredible start to 2025. Your enthusiasm and energy have truly set the tone for a fantastic year ahead, and I’m so excited about what’s to come!
With the arrival of March and April, we can feel the excitement building as spring draws closer! Officially beginning on March 20, the season of renewal and growth is just around the corner, bringing with it longer days, warmer weather, and the promise of fresh beginnings. As nature begins to awaken, we’re reminded of the beauty and opportunity that spring offers.
As we prepare for this change in season, we want to remind everyone to “spring forward” on March 9 by adjusting your clocks one hour ahead to make the most of the extra daylight. It’s always a welcome shift, signaling that brighter, sunnier days are ahead.
We’re excited for all the new energy and possibilities that spring brings, and we look forward to continuing to share this season of growth and renewal with each of you. Let’s embrace the sunshine, the blooming flowers, and the chance to refresh our minds, bodies, and spirits. Here’s to a vibrant and uplifting spring!

The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. Kelly and Tom have a blended family of five kids, proud grandparents of nine and one great grandson, Warren and numerous grand dogs and cats. Tom, a former Marine, was an iron worker for 40 years. Kelly was in finance and had an insurance agency. Together they decided to retire in 2017. They both knew someday they wanted to spend retirement in the south. In February 2024, they began their search for their new home
With lifelong friends in this area, Indian Trail seemed like a perfect location. Along with their Realtor they toured existing homes and other 55+ communities. Once they came and visited Esplanade of Northgate they were both certain this was the right community for them. From the moment they moved in they were welcomed warmly by their neighbors. They never would have believed they would make such great friends so quickly. It confirmed that they made the correct choice.
The community has so much to offer with many activities that suites the wants of diverse interests. You can be as busy as you choose because there is always something going on. Each event has given Kelly and Tom the opportunity to meet others in Esplanade and is always a great time for fun and laughter. Even taking walks in the neighborhood or trails leads to great conversations and positive interactions with others in the community and their pets. Tom and Kelly carry treats on their walks for the furry friends they meet along the way.
