A
s Hurricane Irma passed and the winds died down on Monday, September 11, 2017, I decided to drive through Victoria Park to begin assessing the damage. As I drove through our four quadrants, I witnessed hundreds of residents outside cleaning up debris on their property, removing limbs from roadways and sidewalks, and helping neighbors. Victoria Park fared well through the hurricane and I would like to thank everyone who helped with storm prep and clean up!

Victoria Hills Golf Club
Gazebo Replacements - We have finalized the plan and design to replace the two wooden gazebos in The Commons. The material is in production and we anticipate completion this fall.
Kolter Land Partners is extremely excited to announce that Clubhouse renovations are underway. All golfers will check in at the turn window located on the east side of the building. Limited food and beverage service will also be available at the turn window during the normal business hours of 6:30am to 5:30pm. In the next few weeks we will also be installing a range ball dispenser on the Practice Tee that will allow for greater flexibility of hours hitting range balls. The Clubhouse renovations will include an expanded private/ member dining area in the space once occupied by the pro shop, new carpet will be added in the existing dining room, and furnishings will be replaced in Mulligan’s Tavern, as well as the lobby area. The entire interior of the Clubhouse will have a new coat of paint, along with elegant lighting fixtures and finishing details. These renovations will take a few months to complete and we will continue to update you on the progress in anticipation of a grand reopening in late fall of this year. We appreciate your support of Victoria Hills Golf Club and look forward to offering everyone a fantastic social and golfing experience in the years ahead.
Victoria Trails Amenity Center Fence - A new fence was installed along the outside of the Victoria Trails Amenity Center. Please remember to bring your Victoria Park ID to gain access when utilizing the playground and pavilion. Permanent Community Management Office - We have begun the very early stages of drafting plans for the community management office. The office will be an addition to the Victoria Trails Amenity Center. This addition will ensure the management office has a permanent location and will reduce future costs to the community by eliminating the need to rent office space.
Community Growth We reached a milestone in August in our community growth by surpassing 2,000 homes! Sales continue to increase, proving Victoria Park as a premier, sought after community in DeLand and the surrounding areas.

Covenants Corner
T
he role of the Covenants Coordinator is to help ensure the community stays up to the standards set forth in the Governing Documents. If you should receive a letter from the Covenants Department, the best thing you can do is contact us. We are always willing to assist in any way possible or offer timeline extensions as necessary. This is a very large community and it is still growing, so there are things we may miss. If there is an issue you would like to report, you may do so by filling out a Confidential Incident/Violation Report, which can be obtained online or at our Community Management Office.

Home Maintenance Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on home maintenance items, such as those listed below: • Pressure Washing - including home exterior, driveway and sidewalk • Exterior Painting • Mailbox Upkeep - cleanliness, visible numbers • General Landscape Items - shrubs and tree trimming, weeding, edging, etc. • Irrigation Abuse - lawns should be watered deeply, but infrequently to encourage deep roots. Victoria Park allows for two watering times per week which is sufficient. For new plant or sod material, manual (hose) watering may be necessary.
Architectural Applications Please remember to fill out an Architectural Application before you begin any changes on your home exterior. These applications can be found online or by coming into the Community Management Office.
Parking We still have issues with parking in the street. Please be courteous of your neighbors and park your vehicles in the garage or driveway. We

Mr. & Mrs. Gonzalez have lived in Victoria Park since May of 2015 and chose this area because they wanted to purchase their last home in a golf community. Mr. Gonzalez is a semi-professional golf player. They perform self-maintenance on their home and lawn and enjoy spending most of their leisure time in their beautiful back yard, which includes a newly installed, pool, hot tub and tiki bar. Some of their favorite memories in the home are entertaining and socializing with friends and neighbors. They love the community and feel they have great neighbors.

Resident Spotlight: Tim Reilly Behind each door of every home in the Victoria Gardens community, resides unique individuals with extraordinary talents and depths of experiences. Resident artist, Tim Reilly, is no different and has shared some of his experiences and talents with us. Tim has an impressive background in the arts. He has been painting since he was 8 years old and studied visual communication at the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts in New York. As a Creative Director, Tim virtually worked with all of types of design projects. He worked in Miami at Channel 10 News, as their assistant art director, on news graphics and set design. He designed stage sets and created puppets and animation for The Instructional Television Center of Broward County. Along with creating works of fine arts, Tim has Design Studio and Ad Agency experience including ad and magazine layouts, corporate collateral design and point of purchase displays for retails stores. Tim has won the Gold Award from the Illustrator’s Society in both Los Angeles and Dallas. He’s been featured in The Artist Magazine, International Artist Magazine, and the Pastel Journal. He also has won several awards for his news graphics from the Broadcast Design Association. His favorite pieces of art work are his self-portrait and paint brush (pictured right). Both took about a month to complete. His artwork is done with chalk pastels and are 18 x 24 inches in size. He enjoys creating portraits and still life. Currently Tim is working on clay, ceramics and sculptures and does not sell any of his work.
