News from AV Homes By David Smith, Division President of AV Homes, Inc.

W

hat a wonderful performance we had last month when Mark Raisch took to the Grand Treasure Ballroom stage performing classic American and jazz standards. At his grand Vitalia debut, the caliber of performance went above and beyond creating a memorable night on the town. Residents and guests couldn’t get enough of the soulful classic renditions that kept the room grooving all night long. Enjoy all that the Grand Treasure Ballroom at the Captiva Club has to offer with live entertainment taking place right in the neighborhood. The opening of the Captiva Club has allowed room for growth in Vitalia clubs! New and already established clubs are booming with more folks eager to take part in the fun and be more active within the community! Since the grand opening, six new clubs have emerged including the interesting club, Monday Missy Sippy Club. Complementing the active adult lifestyle you seek, the Lifestyles team is here to make Captiva Club your club by

offering a helping hand in bringing to life the resident clubs that become that heart and soul of the community. A very exciting time, we at AV Homes are thrilled to announce three new home designs that will be added to the Vitalia portfolio of homes. These much-anticipated designs are the first addition to the Vitalia collection of homes since the opening of the current model home park. The new Vitalia homes offer two and four-bedroom floorplans featuring charming covered front porches, free-standing kitchen islands, plus flex rooms and studies. As always our Vitalia New Home Sales Center should be your only stop for “heard it here first” news! It is a pleasure to be a part of such a close-knit community and I’m excited for the future of Vitalia as we continue to expand our community.

Jannell McDonald Community Manager 321-332-1871 jmcdonald@aamfl.com

We have a new arrival at the Captiva Club! As many of you know, Jennifer Rodriguez has left our Captiva Club family to return to her home in Kissimmee. We are blessed to be able to have her work in one of the AAM, LLC managed communities in the Kissimmee area. Hopefully, you have all had the chance to meet your new Lifestyles Director, Lisa Naylor. If not, I have asked her to introduce herself here.

THE IMPORTANCE OF A WORK ORDER We’ve had numerous inquiries about the work order process for landscape issues. To eliminate any confusion about the process, I will explain how it works. Many residents have become frustrated because they report an issue they are having using the wrong procedure. If you are having an issue with your landscaping, please call AAM customer care at 866-516-7424 and have them issue a work order. You may also email our customer service department at csr@aamaz.com. Once the work order is created, Girard is informed and will come and inspect the problem. If they come to your home and they do not find you there, they will leave a door hanger so you know that they have been out to inspect the property. If you find that you have not had the issue inspected within two business days, please contact me so that we can research the work order and find out where the delay may lie. We have also had many inquiries about who to contact for warranty issues that are within the home. This is not something that you would report to the HOA customer service department. Instead, the contact phone number for AV Homes Customer Care is 800-858-5933. If you prefer to visit the website, there is an electronic web form at AVHomesInc.com/owner-care.

Benefits of Hiring a Personal Trainer

Katie Chubb Personal Trainer

personaltrainerkatie@ gmail.com

There is a reason fifty percent of the population have used personal trainers. When you hire a personal trainer, you’ll see there are many advantages. It is one of the quickest, convenient, and most encouraging ways to improve your fitness and health. Personal trainers help people make lifestyle changes that they couldn’t normally achieve by themselves. So why should you hire a personal trainer? 1. ENHANCE YOUR FITNESS LEVELS. The primary reason to hire a personal trainer is to obtain assistance in improving cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, endurance, agility, posture, balance, and coordination. Personal trainers monitor your progress and fine-tune your program as you improve. 2. MAINTAIN A HEALTHY WEIGHT OR BURN BODY FAT. Weight loss can be accelerated with the aid of a personal trainer. We can help you set realistic, timely, and specific goals. As well as design safe workouts, and provide the encouragement you need. We encourage a safe but steady paced weight loss to produce long lasting and maintainable results. 3. STICK TO YOUR PLAN. Sticking with your fitness plan and diet is the biggest challenge you will face. A personal trainer can provide encouragement to develop a fresh new lifestyle that places a renewed priority on personal health and activity. We can help you brainstorm ways to overcome your biggest obstacles to exercise, as well as provide timely support when you need it most. 4. FIND THE RIGHT WORKOUT FOR YOU. Fifty percent of clients have medical issues, such as arthritis, diabetes, or obesity. A personal trainer can help you with these or other issues, including low-back pain,

rehabilitation from injuries, and overcoming muscle imbalances. We can work with your doctor or physical therapist to provide a safe, efficient program that will assist with your recovery. During training, you will learn the proper way to use equipment, as well as the correct form and technique to prevent injuries from being aggravated. 5. SPEND LESS TIME WORKING OUT. You can get better results in less time with a program designed specifically for you. By knowing how to train more efficiently, you will spend less time at the gym. 6. IMPROVE YOUR SPORTS CAPABILITY. Want to improve your golf swing or better your tennis game? An individualized program can help you develop the skills you need to improve your performance. 7. IMPROVE YOUR MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT. A one-on-one session can act as a personal growth experience. We may help you find new insights about yourself or find potential you did not realize you have. There is no better feeling of fulfillment than setting a goal and smashing it. 8. BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SOMEONE. Making a commitment regularly to meet with a trainer who will provide you with personal attention and support is a great way to stick to your goals.

Anyone who suffered a personal loss on September 11, 2001 because of the terrorist attacks are invited to be seated in a designated area in Village Square to honor their loved ones. The ceremony will include several speakers and a bugler will play taps. After the service, there will be a display of September 11 memorabilia inside where refreshments will be served. Organizers are seeking any photographs or artwork that can be incorporated into the display. Items for the display are currently being accepted and will be on view in the lobby from September 11th-25th. The donated items will be available for pickup after the exhibit closes.
