Association Board of Directors

Lisa Cannon CMCA, AMS, PCAM Community Manager lcannon@ evergreen-LM.com

As most of you know, the 90-day transition period has begun. The next few months is going to be an exciting time at Vitalia. In the upcoming weeks you should be receiving a Call for Candidacy Form for you to fill out if you would like to run for the 2020 Board of Directors.

could include financial, marketing, technical, entrepreneurial, legal, and social service skills. Do not overlook the value of people who are not professionals; passion and commitment are just as important, if not more so than specific professional skills.

If you are someone who is driven by giving back to others and helping the association to run as effectively as possible, then Board membership may be a good option. Do you want to better your community? Are you passionate about protecting property values and making improvements that benefit members as a whole?

As part of the Board of Directors, you’ll be on the front lines of helping to plan a future and ensure that your association is working in the best interest of the homeowners. If this sounds like something you are ready to be part of, start building support from your neighbors and talking about your plan to run for the Board.

Serving as part of the Board for Vitalia is something to be proud of. You get to take part in ensuring the health, value, safety, and continued success of your community.

I am looking forward to working with the seven new Board Members to keep your community safe, protecting your property values and continued success for your HOA.

When looking at the candidates on the ballot, it is nice to have a mix of core competencies that

More Than a Book Club Thursday, November 21st | 10am | Biscayne Room

Please note the date change for this month. The book for this meeting is The Island of Sea Women: A Novel by Lisa See. This beautiful, thoughtful novel illuminates a unique and unforgettable culture, one where the women are in charge, engaging in dangerous physical work, and the men take care of the children. A classic Lisa See story - one of women’s friendships and the larger forces that shape them - the book introduces readers to the fierce female divers of Jeju Island and the dramatic history that shaped their lives. Contact Janet Taylor at jct6619@gmail.com. In December, we will not be meeting on December 26th. We’ll have an offsite luncheon on December 5th.

Vitalia Book Club Tuesday, November 12th | 9:30am | Augustine Room

This month we’ll be discussing American Princess: A Novel of First Daughter Alice Roosevelt by Stephanie Marie Thornton. Alice may be the president’s daughter, but she’s nobody’s darling. As bold as her signature color Alice Blue, the gum-chewing, cigarette-smoking, poker-playing First Daughter discovers that the only way for a woman to stand out in Washington is to make waves - oceans of them. With the canny sophistication of the savviest politician on the Hill, Alice uses her celebrity to her advantage, testing the limits of her power and the seductive thrill of political entanglements. Upcoming Books: December 10th - To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and January 14th - City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Bowling Club Tuesdays | 1:30pm Superplay USA, 1600 NW Courtyard Cir., Port St. Lucie
