BEACH CLUB An highly distinctive element is featured astern: the hatch has transversal glass cuts through which an out and out fully-furnished beach area inside can be glimpsed. Once open, it extends out over the sea, creating a platform where the glazed surfaces turn into a source of natural light letting in the reflection of the sun on the water during the day and the lighting from the underwater stern beacons at night.

INFINITY POOL At bow there is what is perhaps the most characteristic feature of the entire yacht, a design element indeed, which is also a lifestyle choice in keeping with the very best of Mangusta tradition. The area is marked by an Infinity Pool, the only one of its kind, at least on a yacht of this size, which comprises two sunbathing “islands� and a waterfall at extreme bow. Three skylights fitted onto the base of the swimming-pool bring light and semi-transparency into the Owner suite head located on the underlying deck.

HANGING OVER THE SEA On crossing the threshold into the main salon, the feeling one gets is that of being suspended over the sea: the floor to ceiling glazing lets huge amounts of light into the various different environments, offering a breathtaking view and increased perception of space. Alberto Mancini designed the entire yacht, including the interiors. He proposes a contemporary design with furnishings featuring soft, sinuous shapes and contrasts of “hot and cold� materials: planed oak flooring, natural oak bulkheads, a mix of Alcantara and leather with steel inserts matched with fabrics and panels of linen, silk and soft nubuck leather with quilt-style stitching.

The keywords aboard are space and light. Everything has been developed in order to maintain visual contact with the sea and enhance the thrill of being in the great outdoors. The idea is that of fully enjoying each and every one of the different areas on the ship without perceiving boundaries of any kind. Painstaking care has been taken over the design of the lighting too, which features a combination of direct and indirect light that is high impact, both aesthetically and emotionally. The aim was to increase the perception of space without creating any visual disturbance.

GUEST AREA On the lower deck there are four guest cabins, two double and two twin, all with ensuite heads. Each cabin features a different style, inspired by Exotic and Mediterranean holiday resorts, with combinations of colours, materials and decorations in the same theme. From the technical point of view, special attention has been paid to comfort on this ship: noise, stability both at anchor and underway and the use of last generation technologies and materials. Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines, the ship has a cruise speed of 11 knots, a pace which makes it possible to cover a distance of over 5000 miles. Her top speed, on the other hand, is 15 knots. Noise thresholds are very low, as are vibration levels. This has been possible, first and foremost thanks to an in-depth study of the model of the ship using FEM and SEA software. Subsequently, during building through use of solutions which focus on improving and optimising all the installations. In more detail, the team worked hard to lower the impact of several sources of noise such as exhaust piping and fins, in order to achieve the very highest levels of comfort possible for the Owner and his guests. The role of Mangusta Oceano 42 is that of Overmarine Group Ambassador for a new market sector. She has been both a bet and a challenge for the shipyard, whose strength lies in the values guaranteed by the Balducci family’s continued management and by 30 years of uninterrupted business, consisting of experience, credibility of values and product, a reputation built up over many years with both customers and the market. A bet and a challenge the Group has dealt with brilliantly.

IN THE US A 700 square meter showroom for the first Visionnaire flagship store in the USA located in Miami at 2063 Biscayne Boulevard, close to Wynwood. The monobrand opened its doors on May 2015 during the M&O Miami. An imposing art deco building houses the space, organized on a single floor and alternating classic type codes linked to the taste for luxury items such as wood panelling, frames, velvets, curtains and chains, with more contemporary codes influenced by the city atmosphere, which is now long been an open air art gallery. Luxury and elegance naturally permeate thanks to the heights and the light making the spaces extremely suggestive. Inside, a comprehensive proposal able to meet the requirements of an increasingly demanding international clientele and to design, build and prepare “one of a kind” tailor-made projects. After Miami, Visionnaire lands in Los Angeles, entering the new concept store IDD - AMBASSADOR OF ITALIAN EXCELLENCE located in the heart of the West Hollywood Design District, in Robertson Blvd, facing Chanel boutique and the famous Ivy Restaurant. The IDD store, entirely dedicated to the concept of Made in Italy, has chosen Visionnaire as its sole brand of interior design, offering it a corner of 250 sq.m.
