HAAS Alert
HAAS Alert, the industry standard in digital alerting, is improving and modernizing safety for tow operators, public safety professionals, and roadway workers across the country. The company’s service Safety Cloud® sends digital alerts to drivers as they approach active towers and other emergency vehicles on the road, alerting them to Slow Down and Move Over through connected car apps and navigation platforms such as Waze.
This year, hundreds of towing fleets across the country have joined thousands of fire and EMS departments, law enforcement agencies, DOTs, and other roadside operators on Safety Cloud. Together, these fleets delivered more than one billion driver alerts through the service, helping to reduce the risk of collision for operators nationwide. Many fleets took advantage of Safety Cloud integration options, which allow operators to activate Safety Cloud protection on existing telematics and fleet management platforms including Samsara, Webfleet, TOPS Dispatch, and more.
HAAS Alert also continued work in bringing its digital alerts to more drivers and advocating for tow operator safety in the automotive industry. This fall, international automaker Stellantis, the company behind leading brands including Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge, announced that it would begin testing Safety Cloud alerts directly in the infotainment systems of its newer vehicles. HAAS Alert says that more exciting news about digital alerting in consumer vehicles is expected to come in the months ahead.
In addition, HAAS Alert partnered with the International Towing & Recovery Museum, the Wall of the Fallen, and tow fleets across the country in a nationwide campaign to
raise awareness about Struck-by injuries and deaths in the towing industry. Through the #NoMoreNamesOnTheWall campaign, HAAS Alert pledged to donate money to the Survivor Fund for every fleet that demoed or equipped Safety Cloud on their fleet. The campaign raised over $5,000 for the effort, which was officially presented to the fund at the Wall of the Fallen Unveiling Ceremony at the Tennessee Tow Show.
HAAS Alert is promising more exciting announcements in 2022 that will continue improving safety for tow operators everywhere. Be sure to sign up for the Company’s newsletter to stay updated on their work in the months ahead!
