- Welcome to this afternoon’s non-conference match between Owens and St. Clair County. Owens has spent the past two weeks as the nation’s No. 2 team.

- Owens is now 7-1 against current NJCAA top 20 teams after last week’s win over No. 4 Catawba Valley. The only loss came to No. 1 Parkland.

- In the Catawba Valley Invitational last week, Brooke Gyori and Christine Tylutki both earned all-tournament team recognition.

- Nationally, Owens is 12th in kills, 3rd in hitting percentage, 11th in assists and 5th in blocks.

- Following today’s match, Owens has one home regular season match left vs Edison on Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.

- This morning, the college inducted its first Owens athletics hall of fame class - Jim Penix, Michael Head Coach: Rickard, Jeff Massey, the 1991-92 men’s basketball Ray Cornwell Jr. (1st Yr.) team, Stephanie Champine and Cot Marquette.

- Champine was a member of the 2006 and 2007 volleyball team. She broke the program’s single season Career Record: kills record, along with many other records, before 9-10 moving on to NCAA D-I Austin Peay State University.

-Owens defeated St. Clair County 25-12, 25Career MCCAC Record: 14, 25-12 on Oct. 1 in a neutral site match.
