They are also six wins away from the program’s seventh 40 win season. - Owens is 21-0 all-time against Edison, who lost 25-12, 25-7, 25-17 in the first matchup between the two teams Sept. 28. - Owens, currently 8-1 against NJCAA top 20 teams, has Head Coach: spent the past four weeks as the nation’s second-ranked Shelby Pitsenbarger (2nd Year) team, which is the highest in program history. - Owens sophomore Tyanna Smith is the reigning OCCAC player of the week. She hit .534 with 39 kills and 17 blocks Career Record: over four wins last week. 17-34 - Following today’s match, Owens will open district tournament play next Friday against either Edison or Career OCCAC Record: Cuyahoga at 6 p.m. The two-day, double-elimination tournament is being hosted by Owens and will send the 5-22 district’s lone representative to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
