the Design Team’s Record models. LOD 500A is typically the responsibility of the Engineer of Record (DOR) for that designated scope of work per the LOD Matrix of BIM Deliverables. 2). LOD 500B relative to Maintaining As-Coordinated Models: Representative of the As-Coordinated Trade Contractor models being maintained, inclusive of any official changes to the Work, through Substantial Completion. Trade Contractors are to ensure any post-signoff model/drawing changes do not impact other Trade Contractors respective to their Work. LOD 500B is typically the responsibility of the Trade Contractor for that designated scope of work per the LOD Matrix of BIM Deliverables. 3). LOD 500C relative to As-Built Models/Field Verification: Representative of the As-Built Trade Contractor models matching final construction conditions, inclusive of any official changes to the Work, through Substantial Completion. Field Verification of the Trade Contractor’s model and drawing files aligning to produce their final As-Builts. LOD 500C is typically the responsibility of the Trade Contractor for that designated scope of work per the LOD Matrix of BIM Deliverables. 3. MODEL CONTENT AUTHORING – LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT (LOD) MATRIX The Level of Development outlines the specific Model Element Authors and Model Elements expected from each model file for the project (Refer to the LOD definitions in the section above). SECTION G: BIM PROCESS DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION 1. Summary of Design & Construction Process for BIM Deliverables Design Phase up to Issuance of Construction Documents (IFC): o Model Collaboration through BIM360 and Revizto (McCarthy). Construction Phase up to Substantial Completion: o DOR to maintain Design Models as the project progresses – reissue contract document changes to Record Design as required. o Trades will model their specific discipline’s scope of work to LOD 400 for Finite Coordination – models will produce final coordination drawings for A/E review and approval prior to fabrication. o Trades will maintain their respective LOD 400 coordination models throughout the Construction Phase, capturing any post sign-off changes for field coordination. o Monthly Model Alignment Meeting between TreanorHL and McCarthy will review any changes to Record Design vs. Field Coordination in advance of official change documents (ASIs, Bulletins, etc.) o TreanorHL reissues any official contract document changes as needed to McCarthy – McCarthy will re-coordinate and re-signoff any areas of works as needed post-signoff, document for change management. Closeout/Handover Phase: o TreanorHL delivers Record Design documents to Owner. o McCarthy delivers As-Built trade models and a final Federated Coordination Model based on Record Design models + As-Built Trade models. 2. Construction Manager and Trade Contractors Finite Coordination Process o Trade Contractor agrees to provide the use of digital/computer based 3D parametric models and other related functionality, generally referred to as Building Information Modeling (such models and functionality are referred to herein as BIM), as McCarthy determines beneficial for use in facilitating coordination, sequencing, scheduling, and/or production of construction shop drawings, record drawings, depictions of the Project, performance of the work and as hereafter provided. The Trade Contractors’ costs of such participation and implementation are included in the Contract Price. o Trade Contractors shall all author and work natively in the project’s most current version of Autodesk Revit (or other approved software by McCarthy) in order to live link and collaborate in the cloud via BIM360 for the purposes of drawing coordination and issuance with the Designers of Record. Trade Contractor shall provide digital submissions of information describing their respective work, such shall be provided in form and manner described by the contract documents; or as directed by McCarthy, that are accurate and compatible with the current version of Autodesk Navisworks, and can be loaded into a Federated Coordination Model file (NWF) assembled by McCarthy.
