This year our 2021 Conference is titled Connecting (to) our Past, Contextualizing our Present, Creating our Future. As we continue to witness global uprisings and demonstrations against oppression and injustices- from Latin America, to Arab regions, to North America- there is a growing recognition of the importance of sustaining and expanding our communities' inter-generational ties. This is necessary not only for us to be guided by our elders and ancestor’s wisdom, but because holding onto our histories is in fact a political act of resistance against Western capitalist hegemony.
In this conference, we aim to connect the past, present, and future in an effort to not only highlight and learn from the untaught, rich heritage and tradition(s) of Palestine, but to bridge the gaps between historical and present day anti-occupation and anti-Zionist efforts. By doing so, we hope to come one step closer to a collective and holistic liberation of Palestine and all historically oppressed lands and peoples.
