June 25, 2014 The following is a letter on behalf of my student Paige Thinnes. I have known Paige for about a year as a student in my class, both in flat pattern and design. She is a punctual and responsible and hard working student. She not only is present in each class, she is prepared. She has gone out of her way to research and develop samples for a detail technique she wants to use in her children's clothing project. I was delighted she took the initiative , with just minor direction from me, to research and explore the possibilities. Recently I have has some health concerns that have left me semi-disabled. I only share this because Paige is one of the students who has gone above and beyond to offer me help getting things to and from my classroom, as well as assisting on special projects, and in general make my day go more smoothly. She helped me pull an entire fashion show that had been (without me knowing it) stored in a hard to access storage place. Paige willingly got on a ladder with a flashlight and went row by row and rack by rack till we had the show pulled. She also helped fit the show and model in it. Students who have gone out of their way to help me mean the world to me, and Paige is one of them. She would be an asset to anyone's team , or design room and I can heartily recommend her. Regards
