Guitar Anatomy - Headstock Headstock Veneer:
A decorative and structural slice of wood layered over the headstock. Usually a hardwood such as Ebony or Rosewood.
Headstock Inlay:
Decorative element inlaid into the headstock veneer. Usually a contrasting material such as shell, wood or synthetics.
Tuner post: Cylinder of hard wearing material acting as an anchor for the strings to be wound & tension applied as the post is rotated. Usually made from metal.
Headstock Binding:
A decorative and structural strip of material inset into the perimeter of the headstock. Usually a contrasting material.
