Guitarbench Magazine Issue 5. 1954 Martin 00021

Old Beauty A Vintage Martin This is a 1954 Martin 000-21 contributed by Brian Virts. He writes to us that: “I bought from the owner's family, who've had it since 1960. It's a great guitar, one of only 50 or so from 1954 when the dreadnought had become the choice size among players. This guitar has had a recent neck reset, the first few frets replaced, bridge re-glued (original bridge and bridge plate), original bridge pins, repro end pin, original tuners. Original finish with some shellac added by my tech to the top in the worn areas and pronounced grain lines.
