University in the Time of the Pandemic In 2020 Palacký University reacted to a situation which has no parallel in the history of modern Czech society. The worldwide Covid-19 pandemic and the government measures against the spread of the disease paralysed normal life at UP. The university was able to ensure continuous education by providing online classes as well as managing other operations, and thanks to strict measures, solidarity, and responsibility, greater harm was avoided.
