The first issue of a paladino catalogue was printed in May 2012, just in time for the inauguration of the fair “Classical:Next” in Munich. Now, a year later and again for “Classical:Next”, it gives me great joy to present this second issue of our catalogue, thus celebrating a year of exciting releases and giving a preview of some of our plans for the near future. I would like to direct your attention towards some of the rare repertoire, such as Wölfl’s string quartets, Viktor Ullmann’s piano sonatas or Ferruccio Busoni’s clarinet works and hope that you are as excited to listen to them as I was when I first did. In the last year, we have started two series of recordings, one being a complete recording of the cello works by David Popper and the other a collaboration with the “Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien” where we present some rare instruments of their collection with music of the times when they were built. For this coming year, I hope for a continuation of this journey of musical discoveries together and look forward to surprising you with music as you might not have heard it before.
Sincerely,
Martin Rummel owner of paladino media

We help you to bring your best sound recordings and videos to the world! Sound and video recordings are essential ways of communicating in today's digital world. Their production needs four ingredients: 1. A producer who understands the artist, can be consulted for the choice of the right repertoire, is sensitive enough to understand the artist and their musical ideas in the sessions and has excellent skills in time management. 2. A sound engineer who has a strong idea of the best possible sound and therefor chooses the right microphones and their positions in a way that the venue and the musicians' individual sounds blend into a perfect result. 3. Production management that is based upon solid knowledge of music and technical possibilities so that we can support the musicians' intentions and ideally help to avoid any deficiencies, naturally based on state of the art equipment. We believe in "less is more". 4. Last, but not least: Editing and mixing procedures that merge the recorded takes into a convincing final whole. To achieve a perfect result that will also find the media's goodwill, we are sometimes even prepared to stretch the limits of technical possibilities. Naturally we love our work and enjoy doing what we do, which helps the recording process and creates a positive atmosphere for all our recording artists - try us!
