BROADWAY BOUND YOUTH THEATRE

Location: Community Room 1C Instructor: Julie Price Min/Max: 10/25 Broadway Bound is a youth theater program for students in 6th-12th grade. In this class, aspiring actors will develop their craft as we work on a play, Gone with the Gust: this comedic play takes place on set at Lone Pines Film studio. The producers, director and screen writer are all frantically searching for the perfect actress to play the lead in their next movie, "Gone with the Gust, " based off the hottest new novel to sweep the country. This play offers a large cast of fun roles such as: scheming studio personnel, temperamental wannabe actors, their desperate agents, columnists, tour guides, and an army of lawyers on the march. This is a fast-paced Hollywood saga that continues to prove ’there’s no business like show business!’ All of the work done in class will culminate in a final presentation complete with costumes, sets and lights at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center. Students and families may be asked to provide simple costumes and props for the production. Tech Rehearsals will take place at Cutting Hall 11/1-11/3 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
