Preface As an ongoing creation the phenomenal world is fully alive. The whole of Nature and the natural world is impregnated with the mystique of the Divine and bears in essence, and even in reflection, the imprint of the Maker. All arts are impulsed by some mysteriously creative something from a center hidden deep within man, which pushes the artist to express, (sometimes in spite of great suffering), the best of his personal view of what he considers Beauty… which is an intimate aspect of the Divine found latent in all appearance and form. All around there is beauty, there is Divinity, propulsed by a certain intelligent Will and spurred by a spontaneous Love which embraces all. Everyone and everything have their truth. But Truth belongs to no one and cannot be contained by the intellectual mind, no matter the comprehension. Like ‘doubting Thomas’ in the Gospels, Truth has to be seen. Then all becomes still and there is no more argument. Once seen, Truth will resonate, or stir powerfully within, (like from some volcanic core), and bubble up by Itself and explode forth as light, inner fire and enlightened compassion for the whole world. The photographer must see the phenomenal universe from a still center within. Only then will the form permit its truth and beauty to be ‘seen’, or revealed. I do not claim to know or even to understand the world of form, but out of my inner Silence, I have learned to listen to its Voice or natural Call… like I do when I listen to the Call, or Voice, or Reverberation of the Divine within the Tranquility of my daily meditations. Almost always a message of no words comes and then something is “seen”, something is “revealed” but through no action, activity or act of mine. What Is, is spontaneously shown… how could I have been so blind, so asleep. The photographs in this volume are somewhat like little wake-up calls or soul-ar beams rousing us into a greater wakefulness, and coaxing us to see the world in a totally fresh perspective… one that is ordinarily extraordinary and extraordinarily ordinary. May this revolutionary view of the familiar bring to your spirit an elevation and the realization that this uni-verse, or one world, is in no way ordinary, nor ever boring.” May gratitude spontaneously rise up into your hearts and the Maker be praised.
