"Portal" By Monique Lang

As we arrive at the beginning of a new calendar year, many of us make declarations of what we will and won't do in the year to come. Quite often these promises are too big or difficult and we end up feeling bad about ourselves for not achieving the aimed for goal.

I invite you to think of this entrance into a new year as a portal: an opening, like so many others that life offers us. An opportunity to be more conscious of the ways in which our thinking and our behavior serves us and those with whom we interact.

Portals also offer the opportunity to vision what may be possible on the other side of that which we know. To explore new horizons: both interior and external ones.

About Monique: Originally trained in psychoanalysis and Gestalt, I am certified in Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Comprehensive Resource Model and Past Life Regression. I am certified in both Reiki and Shamanic practices and ceremonies. In addition I have been a student of Meditation for over 20 years.

In addition to providing psychotherapy to individuals and couples, I co- leading trips to South America to connect with and learn from Indigenous healers and wise elders, run a variety of workshops, teach clinicians how to use a multi-modal approach in their practices and help individuals and organizations in program visioning and development.

"Plants Feel the Vibes" by Jill Mattson

Plants respond to music, growing better while listening to classical music, but how does sound change the physicality of the plant? In the book, The Secret Life of Plants, researchers hooked plants to machines resembling lie detectors, which revealed their response to threatening behavior. Wow! Plants possess an awareness of their well-being and surroundings.

Even more startling, the plants showed a response to their owner’s well-being, even if the owners were across the country. This seems like quantum entanglement (when two energies link on the quantum level, and effect another, even at long distances). Maybe the plants have emotions and care about their owners? If this idea is not delightful enough, researchers display plants “singing.”

The plant’s tiny vibrations are too soft for us to hear, but may account for why we feel uplifted in a botanical garden or calm down in nature. Unconsciously these “plant songs” lull us into harmony and a sense of well-being. People have hooked electrodes to plant’s leaves and roots, and then connected them to musical instruments, producing fairy-like music: a new genre? A Mexican, named Aerial Guzik, hooked cacti to lutes and used their tiny energetic impulses to create strangely beautiful music. Another experiment at Dananhur in Italy showed plants connected to electronic instruments, producing exquisite music.

Ancient stories of Atlantis suggest that highly psychic people telepathically “tuned” into the vibrations of the plants, asking the plants what they needed for optimal growth. According to legends in Central America, this “inside information” improved crop growth. The stories suggest that plants possess intelligence and consciousness.

The Kairos Institute of Sound Healing in New Mexico tested if sound vibrations enhanced crop growth. They played tuning forks and hand chimes over seedlings.

The forks were tuned to the frequency made by Mars and Venus moving in their orbits and other frequencies found in space (raised octaves into hearing range).

Their findings showed that sound vibrations improved seed germination, quantity and quality of produce, longevity of production, pollination, and plant size. The author has created heavenly music full of star tones, offering this technique to humans!

Dan Carlson, of Sonic Bloom, noticed that plant’s use of nutrients spikes at dawn.

Plants do not benefit nearly as much when fed at other times. He wondered how the plant knew when dawn was. He experimented with bird chirps, local to the natural habitat of the plant, because the birds’ choruses sing loudly at dawn.

Carlson discovered that when he played local bird chirps at any time of the day, the plant acted as if it was dawn and utilized more nutrients. At least one way that the plants told time was with sound. Carlson sells plant food packaged with recordings of bird chirps and boasts of 100 percent increase in plant growth.

Once again a link appears between sound and the plant’s well-being.

Joel Sternheimer, a French physicist, calculated the vibrations of the amino acids in plants. After he calculated the tones of each, he then organized the amino acids Page | 13

in the same way that they were in the plant’s protein. When he played the “plant’s song” back to the plant, the plants growth nearly doubled with resistance to drought and disease.

What do we learn from all this? Plants are far greater beings than we expected.

They are also exquisite musicians. Perhaps the biggest lesson is that sounds below our hearing range have a significant impact on the energies of living things: body, mind and emotions. At the very least, in a romantic picture, we are bathed unconsciously in plant songs and lullabies of the stars.

Sound and music enhance the health of plants. Yet, we stubbornly believe that we are not influenced by sound in the same way. What would make us exempt? The science of bioacoustics, developed by Sharry Edwards, has shown that we can use targeted sounds to enable the body to heal itself.

We can use the energy of sound in music in targeted positive manners. The author has devoted her life to bringing forth healing vibratory patterns in musical CDs, including star sounds and vibrational patterns found in healing nature. In the future, mankind will use sound to be more in control of their body, mind and emotions, harnessing sound for great benefits.

"Miracles Are Happenings" By Patricia Cota Robles

Miracles are happening as we embrace this Day of Love, which is celebrated in the outer-world as Valentine’s Day. The Beings of Light who are assisting us from On High have stated that the magnitude of what is occurring within the hearts and minds of the masses of Humanity is glorious beyond our comprehension. After the life-transforming events of 2011, Humanity entered the auspicious year of 2012 on a wave of unity consciousness beyond anything we had ever experienced.

Now the Earth is receiving greatly amplified waves of Solar Light that are allowing our I AM Presences to activate our pineal glands and open our Crown Chakras of Enlightenment to new breadths. This is enabling people everywhere to hear the inner voice of their I AM Presence and the celestial guidance from the Company of Heaven in new and profound ways. This act of Divine Intervention is causing a powerful shift in the mass consciousness of Humanity. This miraculous event is reversing the adverse effects of our fall from Grace.

After the fall we fell into such dense frequencies of duality and separation that our Crown Chakras closed causing our spiritual brain centers to atrophy. "The Power in Procrastination" By Tammy Colvin’

Procrastination. It seems almost a dirty word, doesn’t it? A noun tinged with guilt, rebellion, shame, avoidance, and laziness. Ouch. But is procrastination really a bad thing? Procrastination can serve a valuable purpose, and when we are talking about the Law of Attraction, it can help you enjoy the process and be inspired to create a far better result!

So we set out to do something. We know it can be done, should be done, but somehow we’re just not in the mood or the right place of mind to do it right now.

That can be a wonderful thing! It’s all in how we look at it. Of course some things cannot wait, but when they can, procrastination can be a valuable tool. It may be our wise Inner Beings suggesting to us we are not in the right vibration to be inspired to the best action possible. Perhaps it is beneficial to wait for a more inspired time or thought or approach. Maybe the idea is not quite ready and your time and attention is better suited now towards relaxing, having some fun and letting go of the weight of the task so that we can approach it later when we are in a higher, lighter state of mind and vibration for an even better, smoother outcome. When we are relaxed and have let go, we open to a myriad of possibilities we cannot even see when we are pressing any issue. When we try to force action from a place of tension, the results are often hard to achieve and not nearly as wonderful as they can be when timing is right on and the results flow.

When we are in the right frame of mind and have a great attitude, anyting we do can and will be inspired, and the journey will also be a lot more fun!

Merriam-Webster says about procrastination: “English speakers borrowed the word in the 16th century from Latin procrastinatus, which itself evolved from the prefix pro-,meaning “forward,” and crastinus, meaning “of tomorrow.” Like its synonyms “delay,” “lag,” “loiter,” “dawdle,” and “dally,” “procrastinate” means to move or act slowly so as to fall behind. It typically implies blameworthy delay especially through laziness or apathy.” Yuck. So judgemental!

Oxford Dictionary defines procrastination as “the action of delaying or postponing something”. I much prefer this definition. It just feels better, doesn’t it?

So if the Latin – “pro” – means forward, “crastinus” means tomorrow or the following day, I choose to interpret that as meaning forward until tomorrow, which is not that long to put something off. And this is my blog, so that is what I am choosing to go with. Procrastination begins with “pro” also meaning in support of (which is a positive sentiment), “yes” or “professional”, all of which I also approve of or am pro towards. So I am “pro” putting off until tomorrow what I am not jazzed about doing today.

I am pro-procrastination.

Urban Dictionary defines “crastination” as “undefined use of time, Free time, Vague outcomes, Doodling, Occupying yourself with tasks unrelated to your purpose, Generally wasting time and other fun pursuits.” And I am definitely “pro” all of those things! There is tremendous power in play, letting go, and having fun! It all can elevate you to a high and loving and joyful vibration and every outcome from that emotional place will be a great one!

When we have a task at hand and approach it as work, or are tense and uptight about it, or do it with resignation, trying to get ourselves motivated to push through it and get it done, the results will be similarly tense and will reflect that energy. You may have a serviceable result, but it is unlikely it will be inspired and magnificent. It is when we are in that great feeling place, feeling relaxed and happy and at peace that our best ideas spring forth as inspiration, in the form of great ideas, creativity and the flow of that magnificent force of life energy.

Today, I had an idea to write about. Okay I actually had a number of things to choose from to write about, but was not sure which one I would find most inspiring today. It turns out that none of those ideas were ready to be hatched, because as I sat down to write, I found myself procrastinating, thinking about another project idea I had related to creativity and the law of attraction, and suddenly I was flooded with wonderful ideas about it, and the project after that one. It really blew my mind because suddenly, after general thought about that idea weeks back, I relaxed, and the inspirational ideas flooded forth unexpectedly. I intended to create with words today, but what I created was completely different than I had expected, and I feel excited and inspired! If I had not allowed myself to dawdle, delay or dally, those ideas would not have sprung forth, and this writing would have been about something quite different. So thank you, beloved procrastinatus, my sweet friend procrastination. I see you in a whole new light.

MBO TO FIND LOST WEDDING RING Caitie writes: I love your newsletter, and I finally have an MBO to share!

My husband started a new job recently, and on his second day, he ended up losing his wedding ring. As you may or may not know, we have had a lot of snow up here in the northeast USA where we live, so it was possible for the ring to be anywhere, including under a huge snow pile as he had been shoveling that morning. He searched everywhere he had been, and even had his coworkers looking as well. By the end of the day, no one had found it and we figured either it would turn up after all the snow melted, or it was gone forever. We were both pretty upset that the ring was lost, so I said an MBO that he would find the ring quickly and we wouldn’t have to spend money on a new one.

I was talking to him on the phone on my way home from work and he had just gotten home and was taking off his coat and boots, when all of a sudden he found the ring… in his boot!! We have absolutely no idea how his ring could’ve ended up in his boot, which was tightly laced, and on all day! That ring was not meant to be lost!

MBO TO FIND LOST RUBY EARRING Robbyn writes: Tom, we were at a party with friends and at the end of the night, one friend realized they had lost an earring! It’s a special earring with real ruby in it. Well several of us searched and searched everywhere and as I was searching, I asked for all Benevolent Beings and Benevolent Ones to help guide one of us to where the earring was.

After 20 minutes with no luck, we all begrudgingly gave up and said we would call lost and found first thing in the morning. So we all leave, and as I’m sitting in the car, I start to take my shoes off and out of the corner of my eye, I see something on the pavement. I pointed and said to my honey “what’s that?” Sure enough, there was the ruby earring! How it got there, we don’t know, because we were not parked anywhere near each other. It was almost as if someone had put it right next to our car and made me decide to take my shoes off before I even got in the Page | 25

"You Shall Reap Whatever You Sow in February 2019" By Joelle O’Toole aka Waxy February 2019 is an unusual month by astrology standards. For the entire month there will be no planets moving retrograde, they are all racing through the sky at full speed, imploring us to be extra focused and ambitious throughout.

Now, for those of you who are unaware of what a 'retrograde' is, it simply refers to how a planet is moving in comparison to where the earth is in its orbit around the Sun. As Mercury's orbit is between ours and the Sun, there are 3 times a year where overtake it, hence this is what we refer to as a 'retrograde' period.

Oftentimes Mercury retrograde is dreaded, as it is so incompatible with modern life; the fact it interferes with communications, travel, and creates misunderstandings can cause us to make mistakes. Something most people's lives have little room for these days.

Prior to the computer age, Mercury would have caused just as many problems with the postal system, clocks, and responsibilities.

What is overlooked however, is that all planets during their retrograde periods, operate in a different way which is equally valid to our lives, should we choose to Page | 27

recognise it!

Mercury retrograde can help us to be more creative and introspective, if you need to edit, or revise some work you have done, then choose a Mercury retrograde period. If you want to learn a language or find a new way to communicate entirely, again start under a Mercury retrograde. Equally all of the other planets have their own shades of depth when retrograde and the outer planets spend around a third of the year going backwards!

To have an entire month with no retrogrades is, indeed, unusual. February is going to be fast paced and intense. Now whilst it can be tiring to have all these weeks of endeavour and so little repose, it is also an amazing opportunity to put ideas, projects and plans in place which can fruit as the year passes.

March is going to be an important month anyway, with Uranus moving in to Taurus for a period of 7 years. So much will change with our finance systems and how use and invest money during this time (more about that in a future article).

So this is a period in which we should really look at what we want to procure in the coming months, grow our ideas and sew some seeds. A lot can be accomplished this year. With Saturn and Pluto still in cahoots in Capricorn for another year this is a period of hard work and achievement anyway. Of which there will be a culmination of great change in 2020, but again, I shall explain more about that when it's relevant.

For now, utilising the Capricorn energy is key. Capricorn is the most high achieving sign in the zodiac, it even sits right at the top of the chart, representing culmination, career and attainment.

From 3rd/4th February up until March, Venus will be traversing through Capricorn, bringing a creative and softer tone to this rather dry sign. As it meets up with Saturn on 18th February, commitments in love are well featured, and new relationships beginning at this time will have a grounded, mature and longterm feeling about them (unless Uranus in transit is dominating your chart at the moment, which would overpower this affect).

Further on, when Venus meets up with Pluto on Saturday 23rd January passions will run high and this could be a very exciting weekend! Pluto is far more about attraction and chemistry than relationships and love, but one can lead to the other when Venus is in the picture. Regardless, most of us enjoy the depths of emotions possible when these two meet up.

Interestingly Neptune is hanging around right in the middle of Pisces, the sign it rules, for all of February. Neptune is about our dreams, desire, fantasies and all that is intangible. Functioning alone, it can be like a choir of angels but quite often working at a cross purpose to the day to day lives which consume us. As Page | 28

Saturn, also in its own sign, is at mid-Capricorn for the entire month also, these two planets are having a rare conciliatory phase. Representing, as they do, such different areas of life; Saturn dealing with all that is constructive and physical, frequently seems to disapprove of the airy fairy ways of Neptune.

They do however, form a nice little connection (called a sextile) from Pisces to Capricorn and actually as a team they are indomitable. After all what use is a dream and an amazing idea, without the constructiveness to build it in the real world? How useful is a responsible, and hard working life, without the beautiful transcendence of great music or an absorbing movie?

On a personal level the melding of Saturn and Neptune can help us to keep a foot in both worlds, which is always the kind of balance which brings the most health, happiness and success.

This is a powerful period, and after the tumultuous energy of January, it may feel a little pressurised. Just be aware that things will calm down going forwards, but the potential to build something meaningful and prosperous during the early part of this year is unusually auspicious. Then the mind is freed, balance is regained, the energy field becomes sound, and man can be happy. No matter how people or conditions are, you stay happy for you can see the issue from a wider perspective as a whole. You can reconsider it and either discard it or take action to change the issue, and after a while, you can notice in gratitude that it has served you and has taken you forward. Think about the thoughts running inside you and whether they are in accordance with your needs, wants and aspirations. Change them if they do not seem to serve you in that moment; especially, transform every thought that is self-belittling into a possibility, and always see the issue already realized in your imagination.

Everything that you focus your mind on will increase in your life, for when you repeat things in your mind, you work unconsciously; then, it is practicing in its own way. The entire life is practice and working with the mind. When it is conscious, you can use your mind; when it is unconscious, outside impulses will trigger states and then the mind is using you. no matter what the conditions are like in the surroundings.

Man can be stiff with anger and be very happy at the same time, for he can feel great happiness noticing that he can defend himself. A person who has been like a doormat in the hall and has let everybody walk all over him, may wake up one day for he does not want to be a doormat anymore; then anger, this resource, is rising in him. He may then be angry with himself because he has laid there to be trampled on by others and he may also be angry with the people who try to walk all over him. He may be angry with the state, everything and he does not even really know what he is angry with. He is just very angry and is telling people to move over and make way in order to get out of there. Simultaneously, he can be very happy when everybody is giving way and when he is walking out of the hall, happy that he was able to do it. When you can face your own hate, you can recognize your own love. You cannot know the one unless you know the other, for they are the same entity. When you face your own darkness, you can face the light out of which darkness was born, for behind darkness, there is always light.

Reality, truth and honesty live in the middle of darkness and light and hate and love.

The Thoughtful Psychic by Iris Waters We hear a lot about goals and goal-setting this time of year. Many of you have made New Year’s Resolutions either now or in the past. This is a type of goal.

What are goals? They are a standard of which we hope to achieve- whether it be weight-loss, better grades, a better job, etc. Some goals are much easier to achieve then others, some are short-term, some are long-term, some require the assistance of others, some are achieved by our own efforts.

The fact remains, however, that some of the goals we set for ourselves are not achieved. Why is this? It may be that we realize that our goal is simply unattainable or maybe we lose interest in achieving this goal. Another reason for goal failure is that we might have set a goal that someone else wanted us to achieve and we were not fully invested in it.

I believe that lack of personal investment in a goal is one reason that a goal might fail. Think about it- why do you want to get that better body or better grade? Is it because you truly desire it or is it because someone in your life thinks that it’s a good idea? Maybe there are unresolved feelings pushing you into something but your heart really isn’t in it?

Think back about past goals that you have set for yourself. Were they successful or not and why? Thinking about these things will help you to better understand yourself and set yourself up for success in future goal-setting.

Setting goals can be a very positive way to continue moving forward in life. Take your time and think about what you really want to achieve, then get going!

“Sananda – Journey of your Soul” by Dianne Robbins

Sananda is here this morning to take you on a journey of your soul. You will be traveling along with me as we embark on this excursion. You won’t need to take anything along, except your thoughts and feelings, for all else will be left behind.

We will be taking a long broad road that will lead out to the nethermost reaches of time and space. This road is filled with both obstacles and enlightenment for your growth and evolvement. As we travel along this road, we find many crevices along the path, and many smooth areas. With our wisdom we avoid the pitfalls. We travel through them as if they are glass. We travel around them as we circumnavigate our way around through life, using all we’ve learned to guide us.

There are many obstacles set in our way, as this is the course. However, in the game we call life, the object is to use your intuition to avoid them. The object is to excel in this game and to return home unscathed. This game will test your ingenuity and your strength. You can only gain from it. You can only win. For all of life’s seemingly obstacles are merely illusions set in your path to test your strength and force you to grow and evolve on this plane.

You don’t walk this path alone. Your guides walk with you and whisper to you from above – always giving you directions and encouragement – lest you lose your way. So walk with us in laughter and love, for all is merriment and all is life.

The road never ends, it only winds and turns and goes on forever. So wherever you find yourself on the road, just smile, and know that we are beside you on your return home to God. You will all find your way, for there is only one way – although the turns are many.

Know that Sananda travels with you always as a seasoned traveler who never wearies of the dust, nor complains of the hardships. By focusing on the Light all Page | 40

The question of “What is love?” is a precarious one. Foremost, the metaphysician must examine love differently from the physicalists and materialists. Take, for instance, Cupid—the invisible deity and matchmaker supreme. He altogether is the emblem of love, an emotion which, according to ancient philosophy, has a binary nature. The initial one is an ethereal zeal that moves the pure and unsullied soul while still in the transcendent luminance of the psychical domain.

The alternate one defines as “earthly love,” whereby the soul misleads as a consequence of placing the sensory information over and above the reverence of interior conditions, thus embracing the fascination with exterior appearance. In short, one love focuses outward, the other, inward.

Sublime, unperceivable love takes precedence in this article, and this affection classifies as “rational love.” It is a passion which embraces the properties of the soul. As a loftier and heavenlier emotion, it invigorates the rational soul as to awaken it from a deep sleep, and it conveys liveliness and thereby empowers the soul to discard fleshly disillusionment through an undefiled process.

Notwithstanding, the law of the intellect is reason whereas the decree of the soul is love. The commands of reason frequently conflict with the assertions of love, just as love and reason dupe easily by the physical nature, even though rationale repeatedly informs the latter of its inadequacy.

In Greek mythology, Psyche, the goddess of the soul and wife of Eros, the Roman Cupid, pacifies the enraged Venus, the ancient Italian goddess of love, and goes so far as to acquire adoration from Zeus, the comparative Demiurge. Subsequently, she receives the celestial drink and, ceasing to be temporal, ventures in the direction of the atemporal. Thenceforth she assumes the role of the mother of jubilation, a product of the comingling of the rationality in every soul with the elevated wisdom envisaged in the unseen but forever potent deity of cerebral love. Metaphysical philosophers must strive to rouse their higher natures, and by doing so excite the mind from the sluggishness of corporeality. They must allow the psyche to climb from particulars to imparticulars, from frames to the position of the frameless, until rejoined with the supreme expression of rationally prudent love, which is the fondness of the soul for the truly Real.

Such an attraction, seen to its conclusion, leads to a partaking in the grades of Reality which are wholly and enduringly splendid. Humanity has the power to fully understand the human soul, which always seeks to reunite with the allknowingness to which all actions of cosmical operation is, for its part, the vessel of recondite gratitude. As reported by Plato, one of the world’s greatest philosophers, love describes as a yearning of diversification for unification— wherewith parts become wholes through the instinctive impulse of all beings in the direction of flawlessness. Apprehending that actuality expands proportionately by conquering diversification, the rational soul exults in the unification of fragmented qualities. As one might surmise, even imperfect unions contribute to the unanimity of the whole. The force which originally incites souls into corporeal forms afterward prompts them to dissociate with the substances of tangibility and ascend to conjoin with intangible Reality. Love, as the original Page | 42

Greek agape implies, relates to charity. The English term charity derives from the Latin caritas, signifying dearness or love, in turn from carus, connoting dear, costly, or loved.

At the date of the translation of the King James Version of the Bible, and also before that, charity implied love of God and an allegiance beyond creaturely affection, yet an appreciation of human beings for God’s sake. Moreover, it suggested the content of love outstretched to perfection; consequently, this related charity directly to Divine Nature, and ergo to God. However, one might ask, “What of charity related to good deeds?” A good question, to be sure, and one to be put into proper perspective. In the sense of generosity to the poor or the afflicted, the aid of philanthropic establishments, or the provision of the disadvantaged, charity manifests as an expression of, or an activity incited by, the internal occurrence of the enigma of love. To say it another way, outwardly focused benevolent endeavors issue forth from an inwardly congenial wellspring of passion.

Hence, charity is not intended primarily as goodwill to the downtrodden, but as the love of God displaying through the urge to assist the needy. Mysticism examines the marrow of love and unearths within it the puzzle of all reverence, along with the pristine code of human relations. The mystic adheres to a way of life that is guided and inspired by a variety of internal realizations, by which comprehension bolsters in the vow to carry out their daily deeds with divine love.

Paul the Apostle reminds the Corinthians of the meaning of charity by telling them that feeding the poor with worldly goods proved nothing without the spirit of love. Christian mystics remain in mind on account of the modesty and compassion ever-present in their lives. Love is, overall, an unexplainable emotion.

Humanity conjectures on the whole process of life and the mandates that govern the universe; still, the secret sentiment of love proves more ambiguous than the Arcanum of life itself. Spiritually speaking, the works of love include belief, faith, and service. By prayer and dedication to noble principles, singular aggrandizement awakens in one’s life. Love is increasingly impersonal until it embodies the spiritual impulse which stimulates every wholesome and dignified virtue within the soul. Finally, mystic love does not equal humanistic love.

Human love is a mutual emotion by which the individualized disposition of one particular rushes in the direction of its own externalized fulfillment in another, all the while its outward focus leads to the degradation of its condition through the proclivity of others.

"An Empath's Gift" by Michelle J. Howe

The phrase is “Empath Gifts”.

I am actually sitting on this for a minute because I know many Empaths are struggling to see the gift in the abilities they possess. But, let me lead into this information with a basic understanding of the word “gifts.”

We have the five traditional senses most of us utilize on a daily basis. Although sensing in traditional ways – hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and seeing are part of being human, there are additional and deeper – natural senses available to those who connect to feel and know at subtle energetic levels – these are the Empaths.

These other sensory gifts or abilities are unseen and unknown to most of the world. These are psychic or special abilities coming to us as gifts of being Empath. These natural gifts are not mainstream news – not yet.

In our history, most of those gifted beyond the traditional senses have been given different names. Labels used to describe gifted folks were witches, gurus, seers, shamans, psychics, mediums, etc. These gifted individuals understood life from a different perspective and often tapped into the dream world, using their hands for healing, tapping into new methods to heal and basically were different from others. There is in fact a growing community of gifted Empaths and others that are fully confident they have NOT lost their marbles and are in fact getting more clarity and understanding on a daily basis. What's Going on for February 2019 February is known as a month when love begins anew, in part to to the widespread celebration of Valentine's Day. In some parts of Europe, there was a belief that February 14th was the day that birds and animals began their annual hunt for a mate. Valentine's Day is named for the Christian priest who defied Emperor Claudius II's edict banning young soldiers from marrying. In secret, Valentine "tied the knot" for many young couples. Eventually, he was captured and executed on Feb. 14, 269 C.E. Before his death, he smuggled a message to a girl he had befriended while imprisoned–the first Valentine's Day card. And it just so happens that Valentines Day may be related to the pagan day called "Old Candelmas."

History of Imbolc As with all Old Tradition observances, this holiday is usually celebrated beginning at sundown on February 1 and continuing through the day of February 2. Imbolc means in the belly of the Mother because that is where seeds are beginning to stir as it is Spring.

Another name for this holiday is Oimelc, meaning milk of ewes since it is also the traditional lambing season in the old world. Herd animals have either given birth to the first offspring of the year or their wombs are swollen and the milk of life is flowing into their teats and udders. It is the time of Blessing of the seeds and consecration of agricultural tools. It marks the center point of the dark half of the year.

This holiday is especially sacred to the Celtic Fire Goddess, Brigit, patron of smithcraft, healing, midwifery, and poetry. It is the festival of the Maiden, for from this day to March 21st, it is her season to prepare for growth and renewal. The Maiden is honored, as the Bride, on this Sabbat. Straw Brideo'gas (corn dollies) are created from oat or wheat straw and placed in baskets with white flower bedding. Young girls then carry the Brideo'gas door to door, and gifts are bestowed upon the image from each household. Afterwards at the traditional feast, the older women make special acorn wands for the dollies to hold, and in the morning the ashes in the hearth are examined to see if the magic wands left marks as a good omen. Brighid's Crosses are fashioned from wheat stalks and exchanged as symbols of protection and prosperity in the coming year.

Home hearth fires are put out and re-lit, and a besom is place by the front door to symbolize sweeping out the old and welcoming the new. Candles are lit and placed in each room of the house to honor the re-birth of the Sun. If you are participating in a ritual you could wear a crown of lights (candles) to symbolize the return of the Goddess to her Maiden aspect, just as the Sun God has reached puberty. Brighid's snake emerges from the womb of the Earth Mother to test the weather, (the origin of Ground Hog Day), and in many places the first Crocus flowers began to spring forth from the frozen earth.

The Christian religion adopted a number of these themes, as follows: February 1 became St. Brigit's Day, and February 2 became Candlemas, the day to make and bless candles for the liturgical year. The 'Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary ' adapts the Maiden Goddess theme. The alternative date of February 14 Old Candlemas, Christianized as Valentine's Day.

"Defining Success" By Dean Fraser Choices Always a choice…always a choice.

The concept of Success is incredibly personal to each and every one of us.

Success being many things to many people; you or I do need to be sure to take the time to define just what being successful means to us personally: 1. For some this will be doing exactly what they love every day and getting paid to do so, the actual amount of money is irrelevant, so long as they can pay their way, all is good.

2. Others will think it terms of a financially rich lifestyle, freedom to perhaps travel or live somewhere they always wished to. They perceive a rich lifestyle for them isn’t necessarily about literally possessing millions; it is more about being able to comfortably do everything they wish to and having the freedom of choice.

3. Or success can mean literally having millions in the bank, ten houses, a yacht in Monte Carlo, helicopter, their own private island and a Mercedes in every colour of the rainbow.

4. Alternatively, living off the grid in a hand-crafted hut, surviving off the land and rejecting the concept of money all together!

5. Buying a camper van to tour Australia and write a travel vlog on the way.

6. Or any another entirely personally inspired scenario that nobody else might have yet even thought of…

Ponder deeply as you focus your attention on your perfect utopia, your perfect vision of your own life as you have always dreamed it ought to be. And be honest with yourself here.

There are no rules when it comes to where our life can go and isn’t that rather awesome? Nobody said everyone’s ideal reality of success needs to be the same…find yours and that is what you aim to live!

KNOWING WHEN TO QUIT Sometimes you have got to know when to quit, turn away from that particular dream and close the chapter in the most mutually beneficial way. Some businesses have simply run their course and the industry quite literally no longer exists – a prime example of this is the trade magazine business I grew over fifteen years ago, the emergence of the internet as most traders’ primary source of purchasing rendered paper trade publications entirely obsolete.

The same framework applies if we are employed by someone else. If the prospect of getting-up each morning is kind of dreaded as it means yet another day of doing something we fail to buy-into or enjoy…then it’s time for a long overdue career change. We will get to this all- important subject a little later in the chapter Finding Your Talents on page 195. You might like to carry on reading in the meantime, rather than jumping ahead though, as it won’t make too much sense without first absorbing the information between here and that future chapter.

E-COMMERCE As I have moved into full time writing and talks, most of my business interests these days are built around the internet in one way or another.

E-shops and online bookstores reach markets a high street shop or even personal business website never could – well not without spending a few hundred thousand a year on advertising. I write books, record audio books and go out into the big wide world to give talks - I focus on what I love to do.

I do appreciate how fortunate I am. I get to make a difference in the experience others have in their lives. Yet I know in reality what I do is show others the latent potential they always possessed within themselves but didn’t quite know how to apply in their day to day life.

CARE ABOUT IT! Anyone who wants to experience wellbeing beyond the mass collective subconscious needs to passionately care about their own wellbeing!

Cop-out thinking would have us not be too bothered about where we are going in life or passing over the responsibility for our precious health to some outside force like a doctor.

Wellbeing comes from within.

And to experience outrageous good fortune requires us to actively participate in the process. Or in other words care enough to take responsibility for our own happiness, health and success!

Not caring is unempowered. It is the path of least resistance. Caring about our own wellbeing requires us taking absolute personal responsibility and never blaming others for our own learning curves along the way.

Caring requires self-discipline and determination. The rewards are immeasurable and personally I would choose feeling empowered over being a victim any day.

Choose to care…it is all about YOU! About Dean: “What do you want to do when you leave school?” This time the question came from a careers advisor at high school. Having less than eighteen months left to reside in the education system, I suppose it seemed an obvious question to ask. My reply stated I saw myself doing something creative, perhaps graphic design.

And for sure, I did. I indeed became a graphic designer for a little while.

You will notice at no time here did I suggest (even secretly to myself) that I wanted to be a paranormal investigator or indeed an intuitive healer!

It seems the Universe had other plans for me - you might call it my calling.

I can say in all honesty I categorically never consciously set out to delve into the arcane, deliberately encounter the unseen; and yet throughout all my early life the experiences given to me made what I ended up doing almost inevitable. Oh, for sure I resisted my destiny. For nearly a decade I did my best to live the conventional life, I never particularly managed to achieve this, but I certainly did my level best! Those in need of healing still wound their inevitable way in my direction, no matter how much I attempted to pretend not to notice.

I have always trusted we each have a calling in life, it seems my destiny found me, even if I did everything possible to avoid it for a little while! In the end I took the pathway before me into my destiny…whatever or wherever it took me, I trusted in my own ability to deal with anything, however bizarre, which came my way. "The Power Of Empathy"By Dr. Judith Orloff

As a psychiatrist and an empath, I am fascinated by how the phenomenon of empathy works. I feel passionately that empathy is the medicine the world needs right now.

Empathy is when we reach our hearts out to others and put ourselves in their shoes. It also means that we can be happy for others during their times of joy. The Dali Lama says, “Empathy is the most precious human quality.”

During these stressful times, personally and globally, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Even so, empathy is the quality that will get us through. It enables us to respect one another, even if we disagree. Empathy doesn’t make you a sentimental softy without discernment.

It allows you to keep your heart open to foster tolerance and understanding. Being empathic might not always be effective in getting through to people but I think it’s the best chance we have for peace in our own lives and on the planet.

In my book “The Empath’s Survival Guide” I discuss the power of empathy. I also address the difference between ordinary empathy and being an empath. Like many of my patients and myself, empaths are people who rank high on the empathic spectrum and actually feel what is happening in others in their own bodies. As a result, empaths can experience deep compassion for others–but they often get exhausted from feeling “too much” unless Page | 52

they develop strategies to safeguard their sensitivities and set healthy boundaries.

Research suggests the empaths may have a hyper-active mirror neuron system in their brains. These are the cells responsible for compassion. Because of an empath’s tendency to experience pain in others, it’s important for us to learn how to be caring without shouldering the suffering of others or the world.

The message of empathy is always “I hear you” even if you don’t agree with someone’s reasoning. These magic words are the first step to making others feel safe. However, being an empathy doesn’t mean that you become a doormat or tolerate abuse, just to keep the peace in unhealthy situations. Rather, once you can see where someone is coming from, you can make the best decisions in that situation.

Empaths share all the traits of what Dr. Elaine Aron has called “Highly Sensitive People” or HSPs. These include a low threshold for stimulation, the need for alone time, sensitivity to light sound, and smell, plus an aversion to large groups. It also takes highly sensitive people longer to wind down after a busy day since their system’s ability to transition from high stimulation to being quiet is slower. Empaths share a highly sensitive person’s love of nature and quiet environments. However, an empath’s capacity for highly developed intuition and their tendency to be an emotional sponge who absorbs the stress of the world, sets them apart from someone who is sensitive to excessive sensory stimulation.

Choosing empathy over anger and fear generates a profound shift in our relationships, personally and globally. It catalyzes a compassionate evolution of humankind and a hope for us getting along in more meaningful ways as individuals and as a planet. Empathy will be the deciding factor between war and peace, between hatred and tolerance. We need to grow larger than our smaller selves and egos to be empathic in our lives.

Empathy is the game changer. It is the trait that will ultimately save the world.

"Cartomancy" by KJ Bushey

There is so much to love about the different types of fortune telling cards and the feelings they can invoke not only in the seeker but the teller as well. The thrill of the information the cards can reveal and how they convey the message meant for the person seeking information from the other side. As a Reader I am called upon to help people often looking for answers to either solve a problem or see what their future may hold to set them in the right direction or relieve them of a stressful situation.

In the 22 years that I’ve been reading for people I have been amazed at the different ways the cards have helped people and the Divine blessings that come through. While there are multiple forms and styles of fortune telling cards, everyone shares a variety of opinions about them from how to acquire a deck to how one should work with them. The truth is there is no right or wrong if it works for you in reading and being able to give a good message. Some believe the only way you should receive a deck is if they are gifted to you and others get a feel for the deck, they are drawn to but either way it is a personal choice and the reader who is comfortable when they are working with them. I have been blessed to have been gifted several decks from different friends and associates that all mean the world to me and I use them in a multitude of ways to connect with the other side and convey the seeker’s messages. More often however I will purchase cards that seem to call to me and help me deliver sometimes a more detailed and direct message. The cards to me are triggers that help me through the Divine and spirits to relay the messages that the seeker needs to hear to help and often heal them.

There is a great responsibility in being a reader that I take very seriously as what you may be telling someone could affect them in a variety of emotions. There can be a lot of fear in the information one might receive and that could be their fear of a teller giving them bad news or setting their fate in their mind as well as the religious beliefs they have been raised with. I often have people tell me they want a reading, but they are so afraid of what I may tell them and often finish it with, “like I might die or someone I love…” The truth is I am rarely shown such a thing I believe because the spirits don’t want to change the experience you were put here for and might change something at the end.

The Theory Of Life Here Being A Simulation On Earth By Sean McCleary It was stated by Elon Musk recently that life; or reality here is a type of simulation. This concept has been theorized by other physicists as well. In actuality it is both and there is a simple explanation for this; and it's because human beings have not been completely informed about the true nature of existence on Earth. If life is experiencing a type of reality and there is another reality that is happening where this experience is occurring then it is a question of both being experienced. That is what has been happening with life on Earth.

There has also been a lot of research and development in the area of quantum mechanics. The word "quantum" has been utilized more frequently in the scientific community. This activity; along with the theory of life being a simulation here is the result of the evolutionary development of consciousness and energy here on Earth. Stating that reality is a simulation here actually means that consciousness and energy here are emerging into a new development of evolution and the truth about everything will be exposed.

The metaphysical community has been discussing the shift in consciousness. In religious doctrine the Apocalypse has been mentioned. In philosophy the term Paradigm Shift has been mentioned. This change in the evolutionary state of consciousness and energy is where this type of thought structure comes from.

The reason that quantum mechanics has been a rising trend is human consciousness is transferring more rapidly into a quantum level of energy here; and that quantum level of energy is transferring into human consciousness as well. There is a lot more discussion on the element of consciousness and there are more people in the scientific community doing research on the nature of consciousness. Panpsychism is another theory that has grown in popularity as well; stating that consciousness exists everywhere in existence. The most powerful and important aspects in the universe that deal with consciousness and energy are; evolution, light energy, dark energy, pressure and infinity. The most important element in existence is maintaining the integrity of infinity itself so life can continue to evolve.

What is required to maintain infinity is how light and dark energy interact, the production of more matter and consciousness. Consciousness is incorporated into energy everywhere for the purpose of conceptualization; so evolutionary development can continue occurring. On the most powerful and fundamental evolutionary level consciousness and vibration are responsible for the existence of the dark and the light. Consciousness and higher frequency vibrations produce light energy and consciousness and lower frequency vibrations produce dark energy. This is the foundation for the evolutionary development of everything in existence. What is incorporated into these vibrational frequencies is the will of infinity. This is necessary to sustain the continuation of existence itself. Photons carry and produce light energy in the universe; but light energy had to be Page | 56

introduced into the universe and photons are a result of the evolutionary development of frequency vibrations. All subatomic particles evolve out of these frequency vibrations as building blocks to create more matter in the universe through the process of conceptualization.

The most powerful source of the concentration of consciousness and energy which facilitates evolutionary development in the universe is the Higgs field. The Higgs field does more than just interacts with subatomic particles as a mass generating mechanism. Just like a human being has a core to the foundation of their identity which represents them as an evolutionary embodiment of energy; the Higgs field is what this represents in the universe. The most powerful concentration of consciousness, light energy, dark energy and the power of infinity exists within the primary foundation of the Higgs field. There is intelligent design within the dynamics of the Higgs field that drive the evolutionary process of matter and energy in the universe. The reason that there are two separate realities happening on Earth is because human beings interact with the Higgs field differently than other consciousness in existence does. The primary reason is the amount of pressure which is incorporated into living organisms here on Earth. The pressure is generated by two primary sources. The first one is the concentration and combination of light and dark energy in this region of existence.

Like I had mentioned before; light energy produces higher frequency vibrations.

Dark energy produces lower frequency vibrations. When light and dark energy mix with evolutionary development this creates pressure in a living organism.

The amount of pressure is dependent upon what state of evolutionary development the consciousness is in; in reference to their capacity to understand the truth about the nature of their own existence and the environment they are contained within. The entire truth about the nature of everything in the universe due to intelligent design for evolutionary purposes is contained within the Higgs field. Pressure transfers into dark energy easier because the frequencies are lower and there is more dark energy in the universe. What this does is repels the Higgs field away from the living organism and this constitutes a particular reality in how this organism interacts with the environment. The other factor comes from the uncertainty of the process of death.

This uncertainty is the primary element which drives the fight or flight mechanism. This uncertainty is extremely powerful in living organisms here and generates a high degree of pressure in the body. Because human beings do not interact with the Higgs field in a very powerful way they age very quickly and go through the experience of death before transferring into the next stage of development in existence which is located in the Whirlpool galaxy. The Higgs field is universal and accelerates with the universe. When someone experiences death here their consciousness and energy transfers into the Higgs field and they redevelop very quickly through universal consciousness and energy and arrive into this location of existence. The pressure is released from the body and this is where the percentage of grams is lost at the time of death. It has been theorized Page | 57

before that the pineal gland releases a large amount of DMT into the consciousness at the time of death. This happens to allow for the transfer of the human beings consciousness and energy to take place a lot easier because consciousness is leaving one reality and transferring into another. It could be compared to receiving anesthesia before having surgery. That experience is extremely powerful for a human beings consciousness and requires sedation.

DMT is like a type of sedation so consciousness and energy can transfer into existence easier.

Because human beings do not have a lot of interaction with the Higgs field they cannot actually detect what is occurring in the rest of the universe. They simply cannot see what is happening with the rest of existence as far as other life form is concerned. There is a lot of information contained within literature here of other names of beings associated with Earth and history. Gods and Goddesses of Egypt and Africa, Greece, Rome and other geographical locations. There is also names associated with religious doctrine of other beings in existence. If you google list of fallen angels there is a lot of different names associated with a different hierarchy of beings in existence. This is no accident or some kind of myth that someone decided to write down a long time ago. All of these particulars mentioned above in history were introduced into consciousness here as actual individuals that exist elsewhere. Life exists within a type of matrix here on Earth and this happened for a very good reason. It has to do with the evolutionary development of planet Earth and all life here. Life had to evolve here in a very natural state of affairs where human beings were able to forge their own evolutionary experience. This is so Earth and consciousness and energy in this location of existence could evolve more naturally without any outside distraction.

The Higgs field is evolving here and becoming more powerful which will advance life into a much more powerful state of affairs on Earth. Earth is a living organism in the universe and is in a very powerful stage of evolution right now.

Earth has a consciousness because Earth supports life and consciousness here.

Consciousness and energy evolve more consciousness and energy; this is how evolutionary development is achieved. A different stage of reality will be achieved through the evolutionary development of the Higgs field and consciousness will become much more powerful here. This activity is already occurring. This is why there is more focus on quantum mechanics; is because the energy from the Higgs field which contains quantum consciousness is evolving into the human race.

This is also why different ideologies that deal with science and spirituality are integrating in a more powerful way. The reason is science and spiritual development are responsible for the creation of everything. Human beings and planet Earth evolved out of the universe and are an extension of universal evolutionary development. Both science and spirituality exist here within the dynamics of the human race. Because Earth as a whole is evolving; everything is merging and the truth shall be revealed through Earth’s evolution.

Channeling

Channeling is a natural form of communication between humans and ascended masters, angelic beings, nature spirits, or non-physical entities. A channeler is very similar to a language translator or interpreter. They allow themselves to sense the non-verbal communication from another being and then translate it into human words.

Channeling is often defined as the act of allowing a spiritual entity (e.g., angel, archangel, ascended master, guide, deceased loved one) to merge, join, or enter your body and use your vocal cords to communicate directly with those on the Earth plane or provide knowledge and the channeler can write down the shared information. For some people who channel, the entity will also move the channeler’s body (e.g., open your eyes, move your arms/legs, have you walk around).

Channeling can be done in two different ways: Conscious channeling is done while being fully aware of what is happening, including being able to stop the experience at any time. The channeler can remember what was said to varying degrees. Often conscious channels will say that they hear themselves speaking as if they were at a distance . . . as if they were listening from another room. When told about what was said, they often feel as if they are remembering a dream. There are many people currently alive on the Page | 60

Earth plane who consciously channel. For example, Esther Hicks brings through the group of entities that refer to themselves as Abraham (no relation to the Old Testament). They speak about the Law of Attraction.

Trance channeling is channeling done while in a deep trance state. Arguably one of the most famous trance channelers was Edgar Cayce. He was referred to as “The Sleeping Prophet� because he only channeled when he was in a deep trance state. This meant that he lost all muscle tone and had to be lying down. He was also unable to remember what he said, which meant that his secretary had to be present to take dictation and then transcribe the notes from the channeling session.

zen habits " Wanting Someone Else to Fulfill Our Lives" by Leo Babauta I have a friend who is lonely, who has such a good heart and desperately wants to find a partner who appreciates that goodness, to share a life with.

We have all felt this, I’m guessing: this desire for a deep connection, this hope that another person will just get us and want an intimate relationship with us, the idea that if we could just find this person and merge with them, we’d be fulfilled.

What if we tossed that idea out on its head?

What if everything we need for happiness and fulfillment is within us?

What if all the requirements for fulfillment were in this very moment, not in some imagined ideal future?

What if the idea of a romantic partner who is perfect (because of their imperfections!) and who fills our every need is just a fantasy that isn’t helping us?

The truth is that even those of us who have partners know that it’s not all honeymoon, and in fact a long-term relationship contains a lot of struggle. The fulfillment that we get in life ends up (mostly) not coming from the other person, but from ourselves.

What would it be like if we let go of this fantasy of a fulfilling partner, this fantasy of a better future … and instead focused on finding fulfillment in the here and now, within ourselves?

Where we Get Fulfillment Another person isn’t going to fulfill us — at best, they’ll make us feel better about ourselves, and listen to us. The listening part is great, but we can get that from friends or family as well. The feeling better about ourselves is a function we can fulfill on our own as well. I’m not saying a partner is useless, but I am saying that a partner isn’t needed for fulfillment.

So how can we fulfill ourselves, by ourselves?

Well, what brings fulfillment? In my experience, focusing on pleasures like food, entertainment, online distractions, sex, drugs, alcohol, and thrills … these only bring temporary pleasure, but in the end you’re left wanting more.

Fulfillment comes from something deeper — finding meaning in life, finding appreciation for the fleeting beauty of every moment, being in service of others,

loving.

But we don’t need a partner for those things. We can find meaning by searching within ourselves and in the world around us. We can start to appreciate the impermanence and joyful moments around us all the time. We can be in service of others in our community. We can love anyone, from those already in our lives (even if they don’t know we’re doing it) to strangers on the street, to all living beings.

Fulfillment From Within What if we could do all these things just sitting here, doing nothing?

What if this very moment contained all we need for fulfillment?

Try looking within:      





Stop and be still. Sit and do nothing, finding stillness and just noticing the moment.

Notice your body, your breath, emotions that happen in your body (like a tightness in your chest, or a warmth in your heart area), your thoughts.

See that there is constant change within you, and a loving goodness as well.

Fall in love with all that you see, from the emotions and thoughts to the body and breath, from the impermanence to the underlying goodness.

Reflect on a desire to be in service of yourself, and others.

Cultivate a love for yourself and all others by radiating a wish for everyone, including yourself, to be free of suffering, to be happy, to find joy.

Reflect on your innate connection to others — reflect on how others support your life, how the food that nourishes you is brought to you by thousands of others, how you’ve been created into the person you are because of the influences of every person you’ve met and connected with.

This web of connections is how you are always a part of everything and everyone around you, a deep connection that is ever-changing and everlasting.

Reflect on your surroundings and in the constant change and beauty that is in every single thing, in the ocean of matter and energy that you are a part of.

These and more are always available, right now and in every moment, in you and all around you.

This practice can bring fulfillment, and nothing is required but attention, appreciation, gratitude and love. You have that in you.
