ROOMS I stayed in the King Executive room on the 33rd floor. The expansive and luxurious room is 66 sqm and o ers executive benefits, floor-to-ceiling city and river views and a 49-inch TV. I spent my evening in the Executive Lounge enjoying delectable finger foods and red wine. The hotel’s category of rooms and suites combine functionality, luxury and aesthetics and come with black-out curtains, comfortable bedding and an elegant five-point bathroom, with double vanities, a bathtub and a separate shower.

FOOD AND DRINK The hotel features five world-class F&B outlets and I began my day with a scrumptious and filling breakfast at atmos dining, a lively brasserie-style all-day restaurant. Here, chefs prepare an innovative array of Asian and Western specialities and breakfast options at the live cooking stations. I chose an egg white omelette with vegetables and sourdough bread, a freshly cut bowl of fruit with a single shot

WHERE IS IT Nestled on a cosy hillside, The Okura, Tokyo is surrounded by the slopes Reinan-zaka, Edomi-zaka, and Shiomi-zaka. The Okura Square, which is the gate zone and façade of the hotel, is at the highest part of the premises. The two modern glass towers of the hotel are an 11-minute walk from a subway station, 3 km from the Imperial Palace and 5 km from Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

ROOMS Each room is appointed with wifi, TVs, minibars, and tea and co ee-making facilities. Upgraded rooms have spacious balconies. Plush suites feature exquisite living and dining rooms. The Okura Heritage Wing houses 140 rooms, while the Prestige Tower has 368 rooms, with 98 club floor rooms. I stayed in the hotel’s Heritage Room. The room was tastefully designed with dim, warm lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of the city skyline. The 60 sqm room had a bath that overlooks Okura Tokyo’s manicured gardens, providing a soothing experience. The room was also equipped with a steam sauna.
