BACKGROUND Built in 2015, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity is the hundredth Pullman to open globally. A brand of Accor Hotels, Pullman aims to bring to India classic French hospitality.

WHAT’S IT LIKE Pullman New Delhi is ideal for mixing business with leisure, as it is located in the very hub of the city, and is also within driving distance of business centres. The hospitality and service was excellent. I really enjoyed the hotel’s contemporary aesthetic, which created a relaxed, laid-back environment for its guests.

WHERE IS IT Situated in the hospitality district of New Delhi, just 200 m away from the Delhi Aerocity metro station, Pullman Delhi elegantly combines luxury with functionality. It is in close proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The hotel is just a twelve minute walk from GMR Aerocity, which is a leading destination for all things business, retail, fine dining, and leisure.

ROOMS The hotel o ers 270 contemporary rooms and suites, each wellequipped with modern amenities to make your stay truly luxurious. The hotel boasts 209 Deluxe rooms, 42 Executive rooms, 17 suites, one Presidential suite, as well as one accessible room for the di erently abled.

I stayed in the Superior suite that spans across 72 sqm. It has a stunning view of the city. Due to the suite’s blackout curtains, inviting Egyptian cotton bed sheets, and a soft down duvet, I had peaceful and undisturbed sleep. I also had access to the Executive Club Lounge, where I held some meetings, and later had some snacks and drinks in the evening.

FOOD AND DRINK The hotel provides four dining options. I had breakfast at Farmer’s Basket at Pluck. It functions on the unique concept where the guests can choose from a variety of fresh, raw organic ingredients, select a cooking and cuisine style, and thus customise their meal. The talented chefs cook exotic delicacies based on your preferences. I dined at Honk on sushi paired with a glass of red wine. The Pan-Asian restaurant is known for its exotic rice preparations; be it with hot stone, clay pots, or bamboo leaf. Pling is the hotel’s lux-lounge bar, where one can indulge in light snacks and enjoy the evening upbeat ambience with colleagues and friends. You can also dine at Food Exchange, which o ers Indian and European fare. Club Honk is the ideal spot for cocktails, whereas the sports bar Quoin is ideal for unwinding

MEETINGS You are spoilt for choice with the hotel’s total of 16 meeting rooms. The Peacock Ballroom is 1,181 sqm of pillar-less space, and can be used for conventions as it o ers seating for 1,500 people. This elegant ballroom has motifs of the peacock theme with elaborate lighting and designs on the ceiling. The hotel’s meeting space is very well-equipped, with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology. The 13 innovative co-meeting rooms and three boardrooms have a personal events manager and IT manager for assistance. The Courtyard provides welcome al-fresco breaks between meetings.

LEISURE The Pullman Wellness Spa specialises in curating an anti-stress environment that is conducive for relaxation and mental and physical wellbeing. The spa utilises Phytomer, a French range of skincare products that works with marine biotechnologies. Work out at the hotel’s very own fitness centre, or take a dip in the soothing waters of the pool to unwind after a long day.

VERDICT Pullman New Delhi Aerocity is placed in an ideal location to balance business and leisure. It is every business traveller’s paradise, providing functional convenience with a touch of elegance.
