Live Green in Plano

Join the Live Green in Plano (LGIP) Volunteer Program for opportunities that help the environment. Opportunities include: • Assisting in the gardens • Plot adoption at the Plano Community Garden • Special event assistance • Litter cleanups • Storm drain labeling • Community outreach, and more!

Become a LGIP Volunteer by attending an orientation. Youth 13 and older are welcome to register. Visit plano.gov/LGIPvolunteer to learn more and sign up.

Sam Johnson Recreation Center for Adults 50+

From preparing lunches in the Gazebo Café to greeting patrons, there are many ways volunteers support the Sam Johnson Recreation Center. Volunteers don’t have to be 50 to serve and can apply anytime throughout the year.

Neighborhood Services

Volunteer with Love Where You Live in Armstrong Park on Saturday, September 24th. With your support we can provide minor home repair and litter clean up in this neighborhood! It’s a great chance to connect with other residents, the City, and our volunteers who are ready to serve! If you have painting, fence repair, plumbing, landscaping, or other basic home repair skills, we could really use your skills as a group leader!
