Football Clinics
PLANO EAST FOOTBALL (ENTER 2ND-5TH)
Boys and girls will learn basic fundamentals of football such as throwing, catching, blocking, running, safe and proper tackling technique. Participants will also compete in flag football, meet varsity Plano East players, compete in combine drills, and begin learning the offense and defense ran at Plano East. A waiver must be signed and turned in on first day for each participant.

Plano coaches will teach the important fundamentals related to football such as passing, catching, tackling, punting, and kicking. Quality instruction will be provided for young athletes who will have the opportunity to experience every position. A waiver must be signed and turned in on the first day for each participant.
WOLFPACK FOOTBALL BOYS SKILLS (ENTER 3RD-6TH)
This football clinic features instruction in all the basic skills of the game. Students will learn the foundations of Plano West Wolfpack football. A waiver must be signed for each participant.

How to Read the Activity/Course Information
Family Rock Climbing
Family rock climbing is designed for families who want to learn to climb together. Family rock climbing teaches parents the skills necessary to safely climb with their children in an indoor climbing gym. Maximum harness size is a 42” waist and 28” thigh. Price includes one adult and one child. Additional adult or child may also enroll at a cost of $15. Children must be six years of age or older. Please have one adult for every three children.

LIFEGUARD TRAINING W/WATERPARK (15 YRS & UP)
This is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class that will certify the participant in Waterpark Lifeguard Training, CPR/ AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training. The Lifeguard, First Aid, CPRPR, and Oxygen Administration are two year certifications and the Bloodborne Pathogen certification must be renewed each year. In order to participate in this class you must pass a pre-course which consists of a 300 yard continuous swim using front crawl and/or breast stroke, tread water for two minutes using only your legs, and a timed event which includes swimming 20 yards, picking up a 10 pound brick from the bottom of 7-10 feet of water and swimming it back to the side keeping both hands on the brick. The participant must attend all class sessions in order to pass.

ACRYLIC PAINTING: POURING & PULLING (15 YRS & UP)
Express yourself creating beautiful, one of a kind art work on stretched canvas. While celebrating uniqueness and creativity, we mix, pour, spread, drag, pull, splatter and torch acrylic paints, using chains. Anyone can create something beautiful. Students will learn and practice the technique and then be painting one 11” x 14” stretched canvas to take home. All supplies included, along with a take home tray. Aprons are available and we recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting paint on.

Aprons are available and we recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting paint on.
PAINTING WITH OIL & ACRYLIC (13-17 YRS)
Learn to paint with either acrylic or water-based oil paints in this self-paced class. Students will learn about the properties of painting with their chosen medium, learn techniques, painting skills and color theory while working on their own piece. See confirmation receipt for required supplies.

SEWING (12 YRS & UP) (BEG)
Learn the basics of operating and troubleshooting a sewing machine. You may use your own machine, or one that is provided. Students need to purchase fabric and notions for class project.
YOU CAN PAINT WORKSHOP (14 YRS & UP)
Even if you’ve never held a brush or can’t draw a straight line you’ll be amazed at the beautiful oil painting you can complete in one fun and easy lesson with all supplies furnished. Learn composition, perspective, color mixing, simple time-saving techniques and much more with professional artist, Susan Garden. Bring paper towels and wear old t-shirt.
