NEW! IS AFFORDABLE HOUSING AN ISSUE FOR YOU?
Affordable housing has become extremely scarce. Across Texas, there is a shortage of rental homes affordable and available to lowincome households. Many of these households are cost burdened, spending more than half of their income on housing. Severely costburdened households are more likely than other renters to sacrifice other necessities like healthy food and healthcare to pay the rent, and to experience unstable housing situations like evictions. Is affordable housing becoming a concern for you? Attend this seminar for information about the types of affordable housing out there and the alternative to a one-person household. Bring your questions about housing assistance programs. Led by the street outreach social worker for the Wellness Center For Older Adults.

Understanding Vein Disease
1 Tuttle Free
Do you have achy legs, varicose veins? Medtronic is making efforts to spread more awareness and education on vein disease. Much of the public is aware of the symptoms (varicose veins, achy legs, sleepless leg syndrome, ankle ulcers, etc.) and are only seeking treatment for the symptoms versus treatment for the actual disease. Due to the lack of awareness on the disease and the treatment options available, people can get caught in cycles of spending money on the recurring symptoms. With Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) affecting about 1 in 3 Americans, efforts are being made to spread vein disease awareness to communities. We find ways to get in front of physicians and the community to further educate at the onset, prevention, and treatment of CVI, as well as insurance covered treatment options.
