Head of School Message
The 41st La Familia Gala celebrates and embraces our entire Parker Community with a spirit of familial unity and camaraderie . And it is with deep and profound gratitude that I extend my personal thanks to you for coming together as one community to support the heart and soul of our Parker family—our students .
It was the spirit of “familia” that inspired us to make this year’s Gala more inclusive and accessible to our entire Parker community . We are extremely excited to celebrate together all that we have done—and all that we continue to do—in support of our students .
I want to personally thank this year’s Parents Association (PA) President, Kathie Kim, for her tireless dedication and selfless leadership, the entire PA team for their endless support of Parker students, parents, faculty and staff, and our Gala sponsors who generously underwrote the entire cost of this celebration so that every dollar raised as part of the Gala directly impacts our students .
And, most especially, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Gala Chairs, Marc and Claudia Wornovitzky, who have worked diligently and with their heart and soul to ensure that everyone attending the festivities truly feels like family . No doubt, it will be one to remember for years to come .
With gratitude,
Kevin Yaley, Ph .D . Head of Schoolevent timeline

gala chairs message
Hello, Parker family! La Familia Gala is more than a party . We think of it as a family reunion, where we come together to celebrate what we’ve already accomplished: funds raised to support student financial assistance that will change lives . We hope that you spend the evening enjoying the delicious food, toasting to another wonderful year of being part of the Parker family, and soaking up the beautiful contemporary artwork and the sounds of live musicians .
Our generous Gala sponsors helped us raise over $325,000 to underwrite the cost of our celebration . This means that every dollar you donated—through ticket sales, virtual paddle raises, and auction purchases—directly funds student financial assistance . Our collective efforts create a transformative force in the lives of our students—this is a proud moment!
Our deepest thanks to the Gala Committee for their invaluable help in planning and producing this event . It has been a joy to work with them, and the Gala would not have been possible without their assistance . Thank you to the PA Board, Parker Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, auction donors, and vendors who have all done so much to support the Gala .
The Parker family is no different than any other family—we take care of our own . We know that we can count on each other, because that is what families do . So thank you for supporting such a wonderful cause . You are making a meaningful difference in our community .
With our deepest gratitude,
Claudia and Marc Wornovitzky 2023 Gala ChairsPARTY WITH A PURPOSE

VIRTUAL PADDLE RAISE
Over 25% of Parker students receive financial assistance . We believe the opportunity for qualified students to attend Parker should not be limited by financial constraints . Because of your support, Parker is able to commit more than $7 million, or 16%, of the School’s tuition revenue to deserving students in the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. Need-based financial assistance awards range from $1,000 to more than $35,000 per year and are awarded to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 . 100% of financial assistance recipients who graduate from Parker matriculate to four-year colleges and universities . Parker ensures that recipients are able to take advantage of the full Parker experience, including one global trip during Middle School and one during Upper School .
During our Live Auction Dinner in February, the Parker community raised more than $200,000 for financial assistance . Now it’s time to help reach our full fundraising goal of $750,000 toward financial assistance for our students. Raise your virtual paddle today.
