Greetings Lieutenant Governor: Greg Park Hey Division 33! It’s newsletter time! I hope you all enjoyed my past 2 newsletters. I really changed my format with this issue so I hope y’all like it. I want to start off by wishing everyone good luck on finals! I know it’s a stressful time, but hang in there! I also want to encourage all of you to stay active in the community during summer break. Don’t let the break stop you from serving your community. There’s a bunch of opportunities for you to volunteer whether it be with yourself or with your club. Lastly, I want to give a shoutout to all the seniors! Y’all have been doing some great stuff for your school and community the past years. I hope to see all of you join programs like Circle K and Kiwanis once you’re out of High School. In Love and Service,
Greg Park

Greetings District Governor: Lisa Antonio Dear Pacific Northwest District, The ending of District Convention is always hard, but it also marks the beginning of another Key Club year, and another year of service. If you have not already met me, I am Lisa Antonio, and I am honored to have the chance to serve as your District Governor for the next year. I am so privileged to be leading such a diverse and enthusiastic district, and I am excited to start building upon our strengths and creating new solutions for our district’s weaknesses. In this upcoming year I want to focus on clubs and members. I want to make sure clubs are thriving and increasing not only membership, but active membership. I want each club member to know the District Board is there to serve the members. I am inspired by the love and passion each one of you has for the act of service. Keep up the amazing work, and remember that ever single minute you spend serving the community is changing the world around you in a positive way. Remember to always keep service in your heart, and no matter what is going on in life, if you are serving, you can always find love. Keep in mind that in hard times, you always have your Key Club family to lean back on, and depend on. Know that the things you have done in Key Club, and the people’s lives you have touched along the way will never be forgotten. Once again I am so grateful to have the chance to serve all of you. I am looking forward to meeting all of you, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me via email, Facebook, or telephone! In Love and Service,
Lisa Antonio Pacific Northwest District Key Club Governor

District Officers Communications Director: Anav Gagneja Stumbling into that first key club meeting as a confused sophomore was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I've ever made - one that has led to a myriad of amazing encounters, countless hours of devoted service, and an innumerable amount of life -shaping experiences. I'm so excited to be able to give back to this club which has provided me with so much! On the off chance that I'm not busy pouring my heart into Key Club, I'm probably enjoying science, friends, or cookie crisp. I truly can't wait for what will surely be the best year ever!
K - Family Relations Director: Tina Sok How's it going, Key Clubbers? My name is Athena Sok (but you may also call me Tina) and I have been blessed with the opportunity to be appointed as your K-Family Relations and International Projects Director! I reside in the city of Tacoma and I am a shark of Division 34. I bleed black and gold because I am an incoming senior at Lincoln High School. But enough about me, I am extremely excited to work with the district board this year AND to meet all of you! As your K-Fam/Int. Projects Director, I plan to significantly improve the relationships and communication between Key Club members and the K-Family branches. In this upcoming year, my plans include district wide events that allow Circle K, Kiwanis, and many more K-Family members to join together and share our love for service. These events will be put on in support of our preferred charities which will allow more K-Family members to join our cause! I am looking forward to a fun-filled and fantastic year with you all.

I am Ben Scranage, your 2014-2015 District Projects Director. I want to work with each and every one of your clubs to make sure that the Pacific Northwest reaches their goal of fifty thousand dollars this Key Club Year! I promise you that even though I live in the small town of Harrisburg, Oregon, just outside of Eugene, I will be there for any of your questions at any time of the day. My phone number is (541) 220-0066, and my email is ben.scranage74@gmail.com. Reach out and don't feel like a stranger.
Membership Growth and Reactivation Director: Suvir Copparam I'm really interested in programming and making things/engineering which I'd like to use to make a positive impact in the world and on the lives of others. I really love being part of an organization that is making such a huge difference in the world with the help of so many other people.

Structure Club Key Clubs are established in a high school or equivalent institution, or a communitybased club may be chartered. Elected officers can include president, on or more vice presidents, secretary, treasurer, editor and one director from each class. Division Each district is divided into territories called divisions, made up of various clubs. Each division has a lieutenant governor, a student leader who carries out the district’s policies and provides support to the clubs. District A district is sometimes defined by state or nation and tends to match a similar Kiwanis district. Each district is chaired by a governor, elected by delegates at the annual district convention International Key Club International encompasses all clubs within the group’s 33 organized districts and in foreign countries that are not included in any specific district. Key Club International is led by its international board, which is comprised of a president, vice president and 11 trustees, all students and active Key Club members.

About PNW & Division 33
on 33
catur
“The Pacific Northwest District is geographically the largest district in Key Club International. The district spans from Alaska to northern California: with British Columbia, Yukon Territory, Washington, Oregon, and even the “pan-handle” of Idaho in between. With over 40 divisions, this district contains about 330 Key Clubs.” Division 33 serves the Auburn and Federal Way community under 7 schools. They are Auburn High School, Auburn Mountainview High School, Auburn Riverside High School, Decatur High School, Federal Way High School, Thomas Jefferson High School, and Todd Beamer High School. Our division is known for our amazing spirit and our huge Korean population. The mascot for our division is a kraken and our colors are blue and gold. There is never a dull moment when everyone in the division gets together, which is what makes our division so unique. Everyone is dedicated and is always willing to serve the community no matter what.

The Eliminate Project The Numbers? MNT results when tetanus spores, which are present in soil everywhere, enter the bloodstream. It is mainly caused by a lack of access to sanitary birthing conditions, unclean instruments used to cut the umbilical cord and unclean post-partum cord care. Once the disease is contracted, the fatality rate can be as high as 100 percent in underserved areas. Most mothers and newborns who die of tetanus live in areas of Africa, South Asia and East Asia, where many woman are poor, having little access to health care, have unlimited information about safe delivery procedures and continue harmful cord care practices.
The Cost? $1.80 protects 1 woman and her future babies
The Results? Only 25 countries remain with MNT. Visit the www.TheEliminateP roject.org to get more information About The Eliminate Project.
