Beef Lasagne Sheets of fresh, free range egg pasta layered with a rich, meaty British beef ragu. The onions are sweated with carrot & garlic and then flavoured with tomatoes, Chianti red wine , thyme and parsley. Topped with a silky, bechamel sauce seasoned with bay and nutmeg and a sprinkling of Grana Padano cheese. Bake in the oven for a delicious ‘al forno’ main.

Our serving suggestion Give your lasagne more Italian flair by serving with an antipasti platter of your favourite continental meats and cheeses. Perfect served with a lightly dressed green salad or a side of steamed broccoli. Most chefs and cooking connoisseurs will tell you that it’s best to cover baked lasagne with foil when cooking it in an oven. The reason is that the aluminium foil will help to keep the lasagne moist while the dish heats up. To make this dish even more indulgent, shower the top with finely grated Parmesan and mozzarella 10-12 minutes before the end of the cooking time for a bubbling cheese crust.

What to drink with it? With the rich, meaty ragu, there is only one answer: the wine must be red – with good acidity, medium body and an abundant fruity flavour. This would pair excellently with our soft, rounded Pierre Lacasse Cabernet Sauvignon with a silky finish .

Our serving suggestion A simple addition of roasted vine ripened tomatoes drizzled with olive oil or spectacular with Balsamic-laced roasted vegetables. If serious comfort is the order of the day then try adding a garlic butter ciabatta. Ultimate comfort food. It’s a meal in itself really, but you could always add a dressed green salad or a little crusty bread on the side

What to drink with it? Macaroni cheese is not a dish with a traditional or indeed an established wine match. The Galanti prosecco would be a nice pairing - its floral, with a refreshing tang that balances the richness of the mac and cheese and the smoked bacon lardons.

Fish Pie There are certain days when only something comforting and topped with mashed potato will do. This customer favourite is full of delicious, responsibly sourced fish and prawns in a classic roux-based sauce with extra matured cheddar cheese, cream and parsley and a sprinkling of ciabatta breadcrumbs

Our serving suggestion Perfect with a side of peas and steamed spinach. Julienne carrots and shredded savoy cabbage also lend themselves to partnering fish pie. To make this fish pie even more indulgent try topping with grated mature cheddar cheese before baking in the oven until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Garnish with some freshly chopped flat leaf parsley.

Salmon & Asparagus Gratin Generous chunks of responsibly caught Atlantic salmon in a creamy, Chardonnay white wine, dill and parsley velouté sauce with asparagus tips and cuts , topped with sliced Yorkshire potatoes and Gruyere cheese.

Our serving suggestion Velouté sauce is roux-based, like a white sauce, but with , in this instance, fish stock. Simply bake in the oven for a crispy potato layer. Try it with some wilted spinach and steamed tenderstem broccoli. After baking in the oven scatter over some freshly chopped flat leaf parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavour!

What to drink with it? The most popular pairing is with a Sauvignon Blanc which can have a marked asparagus flavour itself so the salmon in this bake can revive those other flavours in the wine. The meaty salmon pairs well with a wide variety of wines and rosés are outstanding with salmon dishes too. The bright red berry notes and mouth-wateringly acidity in the wine refresh your palate between bites.

What to drink with it? As there’s stout in the casserole/stew and this savoury meaty stew has an almost rich, malty marmite-like taste, thus it would pair better with ales than wine. Classic British ales or stout or porter would be the perfect match.

Our serving suggestion Try it with a simple green salad or a traditional tangy Greek feta & tomato salad. Equally delicious served with a side of steamed spinach. Our Serving Suggestion Descend deep into the autumn, whilst enjoying the warming spice of ginger in this pudding. The zing of the ginger cuts through the richness of the syrupy sponge - serve with caramel ice cream or our Madagascan vanilla custard to create a beautifully balanced dish. Cherry & Almond Pudding Cherry & Almonds are great flavour partners and they combine beautifully in this light, moist and buttery sponge which is topped with a morello-style cherry sauce.

Our Serving Suggestion Cherry and almond is a heavenly combination. Serve with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream or Vanilla custard. Scatter over toasted flaked almonds before heating and then dust with icing sugar before serving. Drizzle with single cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
