How your Parsley Box meals are made We all have moments when we don’t feel like cooking, don’t have all the ingredients or simply don’t have the time. Parsley Box meals are the perfect solution, whether for lunch or dinner. Our chefs do all the hard work for you! This is how.
Freshly Prepared All our meals are prepared in UK kitchens, using high quality, ingredients and without the use of unnecessary preservatives – no nasties here!
Portioned and Packaged Before cooking, our meals are vacuum sealed using an innovative packaging system to prepare them for the slow steam-cooking process. This keeps the food airtight, which prevents the food from spoiling. This method means our cupboard-stored meals can be safely stored without the need for refrigeration for up to 6 months, as long as the seal remains intact. Meals in our ‘Chef’s Table by Parsley Box’ premium chilled range are prepared and cooked in a similar way, and can be stored in a fridge for up to 21 days**, or in your freezer for up to 28 days.
Perfectly Pressure Cooked Meals are cooked using a process very similar to home pressure cooking. It’s this clever heating process that ensures the meals are safe to eat with a longer shelf life. Both the vacuum seal and the method of cooking ensure aromas and flavours are locked in, retaining all the taste.
Delivered directly to your door The meals are then packaged and delivered into our warehouse on the outskirts of Edinburgh, just a few miles from our city centre office. Your order is received and passed to our team of ‘Parsley Pickers’ who will carefully pack your meals into one of our bright, sturdy, recyclable green boxes, ready to be collected and rushed to you overnight to enjoy for dinner the next day!*
Then…simply heat and enjoy. Perfect! * We offer free next working day delivery on all orders of £29.00 or more, for orders placed before 3pm Mon-Thurs, although this may take slightly longer during busier periods. Parsley Box started as a family-run company which I founded with my husband Gordon when we couldn’t find a tasty and reliable meal delivery service for Gordon’s Mum, Anne. We decided to build the company we wanted to see one that delivers high quality meals and offers variety, choice, convenience and a personal, friendly service. And so Parsley Box was born! We’re giving all our meals a flavour makeover I’ve been busy delving into the recipe books for ideas and inspiration to uplift and improve all our meals. And I think you’ll agree, the results are amazing. We’ve enhanced the favourites you know and love, and created some exciting new dishes that we think you’ll want to add to your ‘go-to’ dishes.
Cherry-picking the best ingredients Great food starts with great ingredients and I’ve hand-picked the best we can find, to create truly delicious results. Look forward to more authentic flavours, even tastier meat, more buttery mash and richer gravies.
Flying the flag for British produce We also want to make sure our ingredients tick all the right boxes in other important ways. All our meals are made here in the UK, without exception. And we are committed to buying British and actively supporting local producers wherever possible. For example, our chicken, pork,

milk and cream are all British. Our beef is British and Irish. And we source as much of our lamb as we can in Britain, allowing for seasonal changes when, for example, we’ll import top quality lamb from New Zealand.
Making responsible choices We’re proud to support more responsible, thoughtful choices that reflect our values. Our fish is sustainably sourced and we have a longer term commitment to remove palm oil from our meals and to only use free-range egg in our products.
