Graham Sahara, the globally in-demand DJ, has become a bit of a legend since he took up his residency at Pacha. His reputation, thanks to his unique brand of funky house combined with his new alter-ago ‘the AMAZING Graham Sahara’, has almost grown to super-hero status, and after spending 15 years on the island, it’s fair to say he knows a thing or two about great music. Now, the Pacha Funky Room resident and manager of Seamless Recordings is celebrating the success of his new track ‘Long Legs Running 2011’ which is riding high in the charts at the moment.
Congratulations on the new track, G! Tell us about Seamless Recordings and your latest Seamless Sessions mixes. We put out quite a lot of compilations and singles and have some very good compilation series, such as Puro Beach which is very much a chill out and lounge kind of release. Each of these releases sells extremely well, as do Seamless Sessions, and our newer series which is more house music based, is really starting to gain a large following. We also do some soulful house and vocal house mixes on Seamless Twelves and then more deep house or tech house on Seamless Black, and we have been working with some really good artists, such as Uner, Stefano Noferini, Shur-I-Kan, Soul Minority, Groove Assassin, Karol XVI & MB Valence, and we are really trying to support artists who maybe aren´t as famous as the Swedish House Mafia but will definitely be the future superstars. What makes Ibiza special for you? The great atmosphere and friendly people. The weather is also important. I like to wake up every day and see the sunshine - this puts me in a good frame of mind for the day, which I think is really important for the soul! Describe your perfect day out on the island. Ok – here’s my perfect day, but let’s just say this doesn’t happen very often! I get up and go for breakfast at Cafe Sydney, then get the boat over to Formentera. We have some lunch on the beach there, then come back in

the evening for sunset at Benniras before grabbing some food at KM5, before having a party there, then onto the Funky Room at Pacha to rinse out the crowd - or just to have a party and rinse out my complimentary drinks card!!! haha Do you think the world is going to end in 2012? If so, where would you ideally like to be when it happens? Not sure. I hope not! Things are going well and I would like to keep enjoying myself! Should it happen, I´d like to be here in Ibiza with my missus and my kids! Let’s say we’re all still here in 2013 – what are your future plans? We’ll have a massive party to celebrate, then carry on doing what I have been doing - but keep doing it bigger and better. Is there anything about Ibiza that you would like to change? Su reputación, gracias a su marca personal de funky house combinada con su nuevo alter ego “el SORPRENDENTE Graham Sahara“ ha alcanzado casi la condición de superhéroe, y tras haber pasado 15 años en la isla, es justo decir que sabe algunas cosas sobre la buena música. Actualmente, el residente y administrador del Pacha Funky Room de Seamless Recordings celebra el éxito de su nuevo tema “Long Legs Running 2011“, que es muy popular en las listas del momento.
¡Felicitaciones por el nuevo tema, G! Háblanos sobre Seamless Recordings y tus últimas mezclas Seamless Sessions. Publicamos bastantes recopilaciones y singles y tenemos algunas series de recopilaciones muy buenas, como Puro Beach, que es en gran medida una especie de lanzamiento chill out y lounge. Cada una de estas ediciones se vende muy bien, al igual que Seamless Sessions, y nuestra serie más reciente, que se basa más en la música house, está comenzando a tener un gran número de seguidores. De ser así, ¿dónde quisieras estar cuando eso suceda? No estoy seguro. ¡Espero que no! ¡Las cosas van bien y me gustaría seguir divirtiéndome! En caso de que suceda, ¡quisiera estar aquí en Ibiza con mi mujer y mis hijos! Supongamos que todos estamos todavía aquí en el 2013 ¿Cuáles son tus planes futuros? Haremos una fiesta multitudinaria para celebrar, después seguiré haciendo lo que he venido haciendo, pero cada vez más grande y mejor. ¿Te gustaría cambiar algo de Ibiza? Los horarios de los vuelos durante el invierno. Pero lo que realmente no me gusta es que las instituciones presentan las previsiones con un mayor número de turistas en la isla este año, las compañías aéreas y las empresas locales suben los precios de forma espectacular. Es por eso que te digo ahora que una villa o un apartamento muy elegante puede ser mucho más barato que el hotel. ¿Por qué es así? Porque los precios de las villas son estables. Normalmente los agentes de villas tienen contratos fijos con los propietarios, así que recomiendo a todo el mundo, especialmente aquellos que odian la comida en los hoteles, para informarse sobre esta alternativa. Y tal vez te veo en agosto en una villa de lujo, donde realmente se puede vivir como un rey y pasar un bien tiempo para unos 50 euros por día!“
