Monsoon Destinations in India With the splash of monsoon, our surroundings become more vibrant with greenery and the world of flora and fauna blossoms with a new aura and fragrance. In India there are some places which get more beautified with the spells of the monsoon. The flow of scintillating waterfalls and rapids enhances the beauty of these making them some of the best destinations to explore during monsoon. Some of the best monsoons getaways areAshtamudi About 76 km northwest of Thiruvananthapuram, the town gets its name from the octopus-shaped lake which also serves as gateway to the backwaters of Kerala.
