M o d e r n Harmhouse International Competition Award
Modern Farmhouse We proposed a composition formed by the Main House with an extension, Garage and Barn-Guest House with an extension, all components being opened to an interior courtyard. The three main constructions – Main House, Garage and Guest House, are linked through two small connection spaces that can be opened to the courtyard during warm weather and used as exterior covered spaces. The main objective is to create a residential space, where the entertainment functions will be opened to the courtyard and hidden from the street for privacy purposes. The proposed farmhouse is a combination of modern, contemporary elements and traditional, rustic ones, keeping this concept throughout the entire project. The color combinations – walnut brown and pure white, the different uses of textures and materials – wood and metal, as well as a combination of old elements with contemporary ones – reused wood barn doors and modern designer furniture, give the house an edgy and modern look, yet warm and friendly.
Regarding the exterior design, we tried to keep the traditional line and form of the farmhouse, combined with modern design elements like a full glass wall. The main entrances in the house are marked by a glass wall, creating the possibility of admiring the wooden structure of the entire house from the entrance. The used color palette has two roles: a functional role regarding the sustainable and environmental factor – the color white used on the roof and on the house walls will reflect sunlight, reduce the energy costs and the heating of the house during high temperatures, taking into consideration the warm climate of the zone; a second role is to create a contrast between the new buildings and the existing one. The main functions of the house are concentrated on the Main House, keeping the entertainment areas opened to the courtyard – Living room, Family room, and Dining room, and the secondary functions closed and further away from the courtyard – Bathrooms and Storage Rooms. The Main House contains six bedrooms divided into two pairs of three – one pair on the first floor of the house and one pair on the ground floor, as an extension to the house. We dived the six bedrooms this way for two reasons: one is keeping the dimension of the main house in a human friendly zone, not overbuilding to create large rooms, and not squeezing all the bedrooms to the first floor without giving them usable space; and the second is taking into consideration a more functional factor, like the possibility of easy access, in case they will be used by people with reduced mobility. The three bedrooms located on the ground floor are opened to the exterior, each having the possibility to access the exterior garden without interacting with the entertainment courtyard. The entertainment rooms: family room, game room and small music room are concentrated on the basement so that the noise that can reach the bedrooms will be minimal. The Guest House is formed by the existing Barn and a new extension. Functionally, the house can be used as a Guest House, having all the required spaces to accommodate guests – kitchen, dining, living room and one bedroom; or can be used as a retreat house, having the extension function as a music room. The guest house is the farthest away from the bedrooms, so the sound will not bother. The Garage is located between the two houses, creating a buffering area and hiding from the street view the entertainment courtyard and pool. The building can be accessed from both buildings, and contains storage spaces, laundry room and technical spaces, and of course, parking spaces for two cars. We tried to answer all the requests keeping in mind the main concept of Modern Farmhouse, creating new structures using the traditional wooden frames structures used on farmhouse design.
Residence and Cottage International Competition Award
Residence and Cottage Competition organised by Arcbazar and Radu Oancea, in St. Croix Island, Caribbean, in collaboration with Ina Neculai.
The main aim of the competition was to design two buildings, landscape design, conceptual drawings and technical plans for a waterfront residence and cottage in the United States Virgin Islands. The requirements were to create the main house for one family, that contained all the necessary functions, as well as an entertainment area with easy access and opened to the exterior; and a cottage that can serve as renting house or guest house, that will be linked with the main house but having the possibility of having separate entrance points. Taking into consideration the climate, the functional requirements, as well as the aesthetic preferences, the project is composed of two units: the main house and the cottage, linked by a concrete slab, but separated by height difference. The main house is a two-story house, where all the functions are on the top level - the entry level, while the underground level is for entertainment and summer use – summer kitchen, living, and interior-exterior pool. The cottage is a single story house, following the same architectural and aesthetic treatment as the main house, and is connected to the underground level of the main house. Taking into consideration the abrupt topography of the site, the main house is partially buried, having the technical rooms and garage as buried functions. Considering the sustainable and environmental requirements of the competition, the project proposes buried water tanks with the possibility of collecting and filtering rain water, able to support the whole requirements of the complex. Also, having in mind the location of the project, each housing unit has solar panels and energy generators able to store and supply energy for the whole complex. Considering the complexity of the project, the work was divided between collaborators, having as common ground the main concept and ideas for the project. For the purpose of full understanding of the project, we proposed the interior design for both houses, as well as landscape design and full technical drawings. My role was to create the 3 D model of the house based on the concept sketches, creating the exterior design and well as the landscape design for the complex. I was in charge of creating the illustrations and infographics for a better understanding of the project, the exterior renders and post processing. Also, being a team project, I was an active part of the concept phase, trying to find new ways of resolving the functional problems, keeping in mind the requests of the client.
Mountain Chalet International Competition Award
The project of Mountain Chalet is located in Villars-sur-Ollon, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, having hotel destination both in winter and in summer. Located in the Alps, it must meet strict legislation with regard to architectural image, functional structure, especially the treatment of facade. Thus, materials and textures have gained high importance in obtaining the desired image. The proposed materials for facades are local materials, remoteness, natural materials, providing an architectural image integrated into the environment where it is built. Treatment of facades, as well as external fittings, are seeking to serve the function of the building, without leaving the legislative limitations imposed.

MNIR International Competition The National Museum of Romanian History in Bucharest searches to reassert itself as a contemporary museum of history by revaluating its building and interior courtyard, Competition Project, in collaboration with Andreea Hriscu, Petru Mihailescu, Ina Neculai The purpose of the competition was to create the best spatial and museographic concept for the New MNIR, suitable for the most representative museum at the national scale and meaningful on the European level. The proposed project searches to answer all technical, museographic and architectural problems of the existing museum, by creating interesting, dynamic, modern spaces for a better displaying of the collections. Each interior space is designed so that the collections on display will have the whole attention of the visitors.
In the new interaction between the museum and the city, the surrounding streets, all four facades become ways of access for exhibitions and for the public functions proposed. The exterior works aim mainly the plaster and painting restoring of the walls, needed in the actual state of the building and after the consolidation as well. The iron sheet cover will be restored as well as the joinery after the process of wood cleaning and refinish; the glass windows will be replaced with thermo-insolating glass, secure and sun control. Considering its status of historical monument, all the changes will be made according to the historical background. The section on Victoria Way will be added the skylights which used to complete the picture in the past, according to the surveying in 1990.The first floor can be accessed through an imposing stair, accommodating the main functions of the house – library and tea house.
Tiny

International Competition
Tiny Homes International Competition New Residential Competition organised by AIA Chicago, in Chicago, IL, USA, in collaboration with arch. Ina Neculai The main aim of the competition is to create a lower-cost solution for the need of affordable and subsidized housing in Chicago, particularly for young adults. The proposed project tries to answer the question of living spaces for the homeless people of Chicago. The proposal focuses on creating affordable, low-cost housing units that respond to the social requests as well as the environmental and architectural standards of the site. The project reaches to create a sense of privacy inside the house units, to help the social and cultural integration of the homeless people, and a sense of community by opening the units to a common courtyard. The project is made of 12 housing units and a communal space that becomes a part of the historic neighborhood through design. The design of the unit searches to create the image of space and time duality: day/night, opened/closed, private/ public, by dividing the house into two parts. The closed half is dedicated for storage and sleeping spaces and the opened half is for the spaces used during the day, such as kitchen, work space, living. The deck is also an important part of the opened half of the house because is the private space that is opened to the public space. The project tries to create a pleasant and easy to use environment for young homeless people. The project was a team project, my role being in creating the 3 D model based on the concept sketches, interior and furniture design for one unit, the rendering, and the post processing. Also, being a team project, I was an active part of the concept phase, trying to find new ways of creating an interesting and functional complex and housing unit, whilst keeping in mind the competition’s requirements.

House
International Competition
Tree House for Inspired Competition, section: Architecture, Competition Project, in collaboration with Ina Neculai The purpose of the competition was to imagine a tree house that can be used as a weekend retreat in a city in Romania. The location was chosen in the city of Iasi, located in the north of the country, a city that is said to be surrounded by seven hills. Considering the extension of the city and the fact that Iasi is one of the biggest cities in Romania, as well as a very active city, the tree house will be located on one of the city hills, becoming a point of belvedere as well as a retreat from the buzzing of everyday life. The main concept of the tree house was the total closing of the house from the exterior, becoming a house of secrets, an intimate and unique space for one or two individuals. The house can be completely closed to the exterior, or opened, depending on the situation and the needs of the user. The main functions of the house are evolving around the trunk of the tree, on the main level being the living space, little kitchen, toilet and a technical room, and on the partial floor is the sleeping space with a sky window. Every glass wall in the house can be enclosed, so when the house is not occupied, it becomes one with the forest, considering that the mainly used material is wood.

Stahl House, designed by Pierre Koenig in the Hollywood Hills, LA, California, Individual Study Project The house can be easily considered a classic example of modern architecture and being included in the Case Study House Program marked its iconic architectural image.
The house can be easily considered a classic example of modern architecture and the fact that is included in the Case Study House Program marked its iconic architectural image. The house is a two-bedroom residence, with the total surface of 205 sqm (2200 sqft) and an L shape, where the private and public parts of the house are completely separated, a single hallway is connecting the two wings. The architectural and formal composition between the building materials, the pool, and the overall house makes this case study one of the most impressive and iconic for architectural modernism. In the search of understanding the basic ideas and the defining factors that stood at the base of modernism in architecture, I modeled the house and made a couple of renderings based on the iconic photographs of J. Shulman. Beginning to model the house, I started with the struc-
N.Bratescu House Academic Project
N. Bratescu House New function in an old building or converting a burned house into a library, Academic Project, in collaboration with Ina Neculai, Adiela Talos. The project is a scenario of implementing the function of library and tea house in a locally, well-known, historic house. The house had a strange and sad destiny, being abandoned and set on fire, today is just a ruin that keeps some of its old characteristics. The aim of this project was to revive the house by giving it a different function, converting it to a more public usage, so people can see and understand the importance of conserving and using heritage buildings. Considering that the existing house has its exterior shell intact, the project was more focused on the interior of the house, how to integrate the new function into the existing spaces without ruining the historical layout of the house. The existing layout of the house allowed the adaptation of the rooms to accommodate a small library and a tea space.
The main hallway has a sealed door opening that keeps the memory of the fire by exposing the burned wall, so the house faith not to be forgotten. The house is a two level house, with spaces of different surfaces. The ground floor is partially buried, with brick walls and brick vault over the main room, elements generating the perfect space for small events – movie projections, conferences, expositions. The first floor can be accessed through an imposing stair, accommodating the main functions of the house – library and tea house.
Levantica H o u s e Interior Design Remodel
Interior Remodel The project was to remodel the interior of a two story house dating from the 1940 s, house part of a duplex dwelling located in Bucharest. The aim of the project was to create a functional and usable layout for an old family of two, taking into consideration the limited possibilities of demolition and relocation of walls, due to structural concerns, and the requirements and preferences of the client. The project is composed on the designing and furnishing two floors: ground floor and first floor, an attic and a semi-basement. Each floor is used for a different part of the day or by a different part of the family. This way, the ground floor is dedicated to the living, day functions: living room, dining, and kitchen; the first floor is for the night functions: bedrooms and bathrooms; the semi-basement is dedicated for work, containing an adaptable library space – teaching space, office, and archive; the attic is used as a guest room for their children and grandchildren, containing sleeping space, reading space and storage. The color scheme and furniture design is a combination of modern and Scandinavian design, using tones of white, bright colors and warm natural materials. The project followed a simple and minimalistic line, trying to make the most of the small existing rooms. The project was based on the client’s wishes and furniture preferences, taking into consideration the possibility of acquiring the listed items. My main job was to create the 3 D model and rendering in order for him to see the final images, as well as the final furniture list with detailed descriptions.
Aninoasa House Residential Project
Single-family housing is located in the village of Aninoasa, Dâmboviţa County, Romania. In terms of functionality, the functional scheme has been agreed with the customer, aiming at its daily activities and the degree of use of the premises. Thus, spaces day activities were distributed at ground floor and spaces intended for the operation of the night in the attic. The concept of this project was the architectural image with correlation functions, which is why, from the point of view of architectural sculpture, the dwelling is divided into two different treatments. The input range is marked by plank paneling plating profiled, and space for entry is treated with a darker-colored plaster. In order to follow this concept, architectural roof treatment was extended on the main façade, which is from multi-layer panels of dark, in order to make the functions of the attic, but nocturnal and to create a contrast with the treatment of the floor.
Bungetu House Residential Project
Single-family housing is located in the village of Bungetu, Dâmboviţa County, Romania. From the point of view of architectural sculpture, proposed he sought to answer performance on a long-term basis, through the use of appropriate materials and colors. Thus, it was proposed to use natural and durable finishes, temperate colors and decorative plaster: light-colored (white, cream), white woodwork, wooden finishes-profiled siding plank, finishing of limestone for the exterior steps. The architectural image of a dwelling aims, functions and for this reason the input range is marked by plating with plank paneling, treatment of cows used for marking of the terrace. In terms of the constructive system, it is the vertical loadbearing, hollow masonry with the core and belt made of reinforced concrete, the foundation is continuous reinforced concrete panels and a multilayered cover is for a roof on wooden framing.

The entry in the household is made through a monumental oak gate, covered with fir bark, having double wood plank doors, serving one for cattle and small harness, and one as the main entrance. The gate is highly sculptured with geometric and traditional motifs; this fact is a known characteristic of the gates in the Maramures area. In addition to the main house, inside the household, there are a series of household annexes, as an illustration for the main occupation of the people – livestock farming, a shed with stables, two buildings for hay storage, a building for hay storage with a mobile roof, sheep shed and pigsty. Also, inside the household, there was a fountain with sweep and on the opposite side, there is a wooden latrine.Analyzing the total area used for the household, as well as the number of building annexes and their functions, the richness of the area and occupants are obvious. The main house is big in dimensions, being built of fir wood beams, on a low stone base with a porch on three sides decorated with wooden posts and arcades with the same usage of motifs as the main gate. The walls are made from wooden beams connected in a blockbau technique and the floor is made out of earth, only the main room has a floor made out of wooden planks. The roof is a hipped roof with all sides of the roof sloped and is covered with fir bark. The layout of the house is made from a median entrance hall, a main room (the big room), the small room and a pantry.

P O R S C H E Porsche 911 Carrera RS 1972 & Porsche 550 Spyder 1953 Project aim was to show my abilities of modeling and rendering Porsche cars
The Porsche 550 Spyder is about as classic and iconic as it gets, even for the storied Porsche brand. The lightweight roadster came from the inspiration of the Porsche 356, but minus the hard roof. Porsche needed a race car to compete in the roadster class, and that’s just what the 550 Spyder did. In fact, the third 550 prototype and first 550 to race won its first event at the famed Nürburgring Eifel Race in 1953. Following that victory, the 550 went on claiming 95 victories and 75 class wins over a total of 370 races. Winning wasn’t the only thing the 550 Spyder was known for. It was his newfound love of racing that spurred actor James Dean to purchase an example. Sadly, the actor and his still-new 550 were both fatally injured when a car pulled out in front of Dean as he drove down a California highway.
Nowadays people are very interested in the cars. One of the most popular and impressive cars is Porsche. Ferdinand Porsche is well-known as a car engineer. He had many patents and developed ideas for the creation of tanks and airplanes. In 1920 he had an appointment with engineers from Mercedes - Benz. After this appointment, he set up new engineering workshop. He has constructed Volkswagen. Several years later he began to work with the idea of the second car with his son, Ferry Porsche. This new car had name Porsche 356.
After launching the Porsche 911 at Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963, it didn’t take Zuffenhausen long to realise there was market for a more performance-orientated version of their new flat six sports car. By the end of 1966, the 2.0-litre 911S had been launched – the ‘S’ stood for ‘Super’ – featuring a boost in power to 160bhp as well a rear anti-roll bar and adjustable Koni dampers.
F E R R A R I Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta &
1964 Ferrari 275 GTB
The main aim of the project was to improve my abilities on modeling and rendering using as base material Ferrari cars. The legendary symbol used by Ferrari has heroic origins. It was first adopted as a personal emblem by a highly decorated Italian World War I pilot, Francesco Baracca, who had it painted on the fuselage of his aircraft.
MY MOTORS HAVE A SOUL Because of Enzo, Ferrari has garnered over 5,000 victories on the world’s tracks and roads, becoming a modern-day legend in the process. In order to meet growing market demand, Enzo Ferrari sold the Fiat Group a 50% stake in the company in 1969, a figure that rose to 90% in 1988.
W A L L Y Power 118 Motor Yacht
The main aim of the project was to improve my abilities on modeling and rendering using as base material yachts.
Motor Yacht Wally Power 118
Luxury motor yacht Wallypower 118 was built in 2002 by Italian shipyard Rodriquez Intermarine. With a composite hull and superstructure, its features naval architecture by Wally and Intermarine, and exterior and interior design by Lazzarini Pickering and Wally. This three waterjets and twin screw propulsion yacht measures 36 meters and can accommodate up to six guests cruising and sleeping. Motor yacht Wallypower 118 is easily one of the most distinctive vessels on the water with its unique and striking exterior design. Capable of reaching high cruising speeds, its design was the result of extensive development and research that included exhausting testing. It has a steeply angled V-shaped and a stand-out deckhouse that crowns the super yacht. Its hull color can be likened to that of a chameleon; it’s dark green tone changes with alterations in the outside landscape and light. Its glass-sided deckhouse hides a generous saloon aft dressed in white and wood that creates somewhat of a beach house feel. Here also lies a dining table for 14, relaxing nooks and entertainment areas. Its interior is of minimalist design, and instead of showy extras, the majority of its features serve a purpose; towards weight minimisation, speed enhancement or must-have comfort. However, it also boasts its share of soft furnishings that give the interior a look not far from a New York style loft.
Amongst its three cabins are an indulgent owner’s stateroom and two Queen-size guest cabins. The owner’s stateroom features an ensuite with a shower and large tub, while each guest cabin also features an en suite. The crew’s quarters on the lower deck includes three lower cabins that sleep six and include ensuite facilities.
Luxury yacht Wallypower 118 is powered by three DDC TF50 gas Turbines and two Cummins 370 horsepower engines; a combination quite common on smaller warships but not so on super yachts. It can achieve a range of 380 nautical miles while cruising at a speed of 60 knots or 1,500 nautical miles at nine knots.
