Glazing options --59 pane This standard glazing comes with a toughened outer pane for strength. In winter it reflects 60% of the heat normally lost through the glass back into the room. During the summer it works in reverse, by reflecting excessive heat from the sun to help prevent the room from overheating.
--34 pane Combines standard glazing with an obscure inner pane. This makes it ideal for bathrooms as it provides privacy without greatly affecting the amount of natural light. Available as standard for white finish windows only.
--73 pane An improved version of our standard pane, this glazing option comes with the addition of a laminated inner pane for safety. We recommend this pane is used whenever windows are placed above head height. It also has improved sound reduction compared with the standard --59 pane and clear and clean coating which helps the window stay cleaner for longer.
--60 pane This glazing comes with toughened outer and laminated inner panes and clear and clean coating. The added benefit is that it offers enhanced energy and noise reduction efficiency when compared to the --73 pane.
--65 pane A triple glazed unit that offers an excellent level of thermal insulation and cooling. It comes with toughened outer and laminated inner panes. Clearview coating on the external pane minimises the formation of condensation.
--41Q pane The double glazed unit provides enhanced safety and security levels compared to other panes. It comes with a toughened outer pane combined with a laminated inner pane which provides a Burglary Resistance of Class P5A. Used only in the GGLQ variant window We also have addditional glazing options, which are available for special requests. For optimum performance VELUX recommend use of --73 or --60 glazing variants.
