ART AS AN IMAGE AND IDEA Visualization And Imagination
PROJECT TYPE : Institutional and Visualization STUDIO : Art As An Image, SEMESTER 6 DATE : APRIL,2018 LOCATION : Navrangpura Bus Stand,AHMEDABAD
The project was to design a library space and add a function to it. The Navrangpura bus stand by Charles Correa was chosen to create a common platform for both rich and poor people to interact. The primary function of the space was reading. The secondary function provided a platform for common people to learn in an open school. Open school has a concept of knowledge that can be received by any person. Children living in slums can come here with their parents where they can learn side by side. It also provides an opportunity for any volunteers to teach here. The design offers an open plan and continuous space with built-in functions. Since this space is also used by children, it is conceptualized as playful, open, adventurous with some drama of light as well. There is a fluidity in space that makes the children feel like they are swimming but, in a built environment designed specially for them. 6

RESIDENCE STUDIO RESIDENCE FOR WRITER
PROJECT TYPE : RESIDENTIAL STUDIO : STUDIO 3,SMESTER 5 DATE : NOVEMBER,2017 LOCATION : Living Interiors, AHMEDABAD
The project was to design a residential space for a person. The client here was a writer, Kusum Chopra living in the city of Ahmedabad. I started with analyzing her character and understanding her daily schedule, which helped me shape the design concept and arrive at an appropriate layout. The focus of the design is the library and the living space for her and her children. A writer requires a silent and natural space that builds her mood for writing. Her place changes constantly throughout the day. The living room is the core of the house which has been created as a courtyard. I have given the space a triple height with glass roofing. She requires a personal library and open space to think. It is important for her to observe her surroundings and build connections with people to know their cultures and so, spaces have been provided to her on each floor to view outside. She cant write in dark spaces so I have created windows and courtyard to continuously let light enter. Double height and staircases allow for a continuous visual connection between spaces.

ASTRONOMY REASEARCH CENTER
PROJECT TYPE : Commercial STUDIO : STUDIO 1,SEMESTER 2 DATE : NOVEMBER,2016 LOCATION : AHMEDABAD
The project was to design a center for a research team of astronomy. So, I designed the center as a courtyard similar to the telescope that has a central area and around it, its research team. Initially, I used a natural element, champa as the concept for built form. Later, I shifted to a more practical aspect for the form; a central courtyard.

HIDDEN SPACES : The Underworld Visualization and Imagination
PROJECT TYPE : Visualization & residence STUDIO : Hidden Spaces, STUDIO 5 DATE : November,2018 LOCATION : Polo Forest, sabarkantha
The project was to design an underground space through narration. The starting point for my narration to the space was Scrooge and Donald Duck. Our site was at Polo Forest where we had continuous flowing water at the side. The space was designed for 3 to 4 people who can live there and spend time as visitors at the forest. The design is mainly inside the rock. I have designed the space such that more light can go inside the rock and the interior gets its maximum amount. There is a light shaft and three different levels with access from tunnels at all levels.
