Clockify is our time management system to track employee activity daily.

LEAVE POLICY
Objective
To provide information regarding the leave benefits applicable to employees of Extentia.

A maximum of 9 days earned leave can be carried forward from one calendar year into the next year.

New leaves are credited every year on January 1. If an employee completes a year in between, the leaves will be added on a pro-rata basis at 1.5 leaves per month till December 31.
Eligibility
Applicable to all employees on the regular roll of the company including probationers and consultants.
Trainees and interns are not entitled to paid leave until a confirmation is received.

Earned leaves that are neither consumed nor carried forward will lapse on December 31st each year and will not be encashed.

Weekends and the declared public holidays by Extentia will not be counted while computing the days of earned leave consumed.

MATERNITY POLICY
Objective
To protect the employment of women during the time of her maternity and entitle her to a 'maternity benefit' – i.e. full paid absence from work – to take care of her child.
Eligibility
Maternity leave applies to all women employees of Extentia.
01Entitled to leave with full pay, for a period of 26 weeks. This benefit could be availed by women for a period extending up to a maximum of 8 weeks before the expected delivery date and the remaining time can be availed post-childbirth.
02All female employees availing maternity leave will be entitled to a one-time payment of Rs. 3,500/- from Extentia.
Paternity leave can be taken for 5 days, within one month of child’s birth. The expected delivery date and tentative leave dates must be communicated to the Reporting Head and HR at least two months prior to the expected delivery date.
REFERRAL POLICY
This policy helps explain the procedure to be followed while referring and to smoothen the process for existing employees and those they refer.
The recruitment team will screen and forward the resume to the hiring team, managers/leaders for short-listing.
If the candidate referred does not fit the criteria for the current open position, his/her profile could be considered for future open positions.
Only short-listed applicants will be called for technical evaluation and if they clear that they will be called for interviews.
Once a candidate gets selected, the employee who referred him/her will be informed and the necessary form updates will be made.
The referring employee will be eligible for a bonus based on the candidate’s years of relevant professional experience before joining Extentia.
The referring employee will receive the employee referral bonus after the referred applicant completes 12 months of active service.
All employees including probationers, consultants, trainees, and interns are eligible.

The X24 Hackathon
Since 2015, we hold frequent hackathons where apps are developed from concept to pitch in a time period of 24 hours. The houses compete against each other by selecting one of the defined challenges to prove their abilities, keeping in mind the objective that is to come up with a solution for real-world problems. This competition allows Extentians to show their technical and management skillset.

Social Outreach Program
Started in 2001, Sakaar is our way of making a difference within our community. The name is derived from the Hindi word ‘Sakaar’, which means to realize, fulfill, or achieve. We aim to create social awareness in our city, help the underprivileged, and provide support for charitable institutions.

Currently, given the ongoing work from home conditions, many of these activities are being conducted via Microsoft Teams – providing stressbusters and bringing change in the routine which can get monotonous in the given setup.

CRECHE
We have partnered with IPSAA Day Care for crèche facility for our employees.
The Extentians (both mothers and fathers) find this most useful as they are close to their child during working hours. Likewise, the children get a sense of security and comfort. During the pandemic IPSAA has stopped providing services. We will recommence soon.

Group Mediclaim policy which extends to cover your spouse and up to 2 children (free of cost).
Hence, please add their details. The coverage is up to 2 lakhs for the entire family. For a small charge, we can also cover both parents or both in-laws (living). The cost per parent for those opting to insure their parents is Rs. 3,250/- per annum, per parent. To increase the coverage, we have a top-up policy.

EVENTS AT EXTENTIA

Extentia has its very own premier league that is known as the Extentia Premier League (XPL).
The main purpose of the XPL being, providing Extentians with a break from the regular work schedules and fosters friendships and interaction across teams, delivery centers, and functions. Not only does it help the Extentians to hone leadership and organization skills but also plays a crucial part in creating bonds within the Extentia family and fostering fellowships.
Extentians are grouped into 6 houses, whose teams compete in these competitions.
Upon joining, all Extentians are assigned to a House. Once allotted, membership in the house is permanent.

FORUM
The Forum is an occasion early in the year when everyone from Extentia comes together in a single location. Extentians share stories of challenging projects done in the previous year and talk about their aspirations for the following year.
FRIDAY REBOOT
Every Friday we host informal sessions on personal experiences, movies, sports, politics, poetry, and storytelling. All Extentians participate in these Friday Reboot sessions with great enthusiasm, often having a full house every time.
A pandemic like this has not stopped us from conducting reboots. The only difference being they are virtual but are still as exciting as they were.
ANNUAL PARTY
It is Extentia’s flagship event that’s usually held in the month of March. This annual cultural event is for Extentians, their family members, and Extentia’s customers, partners, and friends.
The evening encompasses house-wise skits and dances by groups of Extentians as well as a few common-house performances. The winners based on all the XPL events held throughout the year, are announced at this function.

As mentioned above a series of breakfast talks are conducted all through the year.

Depending on the role of the employee the metrics of evaluation differ. Core responsibility gets higher weightage. Extentians that fall in an experience range of 0 to 5 years will have continuous feedback twice a year (PULSE) and one Annual feedback.
PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT
We have a performance enhancement program based on the job performance feedback given by the assigned Managers. It is a tool given to an employee with performance deficiencies and the opportunity to succeed. It may be used to address failures, to meet specific job goals, or to ameliorate behavior-related concerns.
REWARDS AND RECOGNITION
Spot awards are given to employees to recognize their excellent performance in a specific project or a task.
For those with 5 years and above it’s only one annual feedback.
Eligibility for Review
Every employee whether full-time or contract, trainee, or an intern is eligible for a performance review.
END OF EMPLOYMENT
RESIGNATION
Notice period – 90 days.
TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
Found to be dishonest or anti-Extentia activity on any grounds or found faltering on any Extentia’s core values and principles.
DISABILITY OF AN EMPLOYEE
An employee can terminate her/his employment, in case of any kind of permanent disability and he/she will be exempted from serving the notice period.
RETIREMENT
65 years and exceptions will be approved by management.
