Local Sport and Rec Co-ordinator Says Goodbye Ste. Anne sport and recreation coordinator, Carolyn Cameron said goodbye publicly in a facebook post on March 27. It read “Well Sainte-Anne: I am signing off now. I have enjoyed creating new ideas programs and events for the community. We worked hard getting all the logistics and granting etc done to bring the new splash pad and Skate park to town and I am glad to have helped with many aspects . I have met many great people and enjoyed working with so many of your kids through camps and programs. Most Importantly a shout out to the people who have helped and supported me. Sadly, the Rec position has changed making it impossible for me to continue on. Shout out to staff past and present! Best wishes everyone.” During Cameron’s time as the Sport and Rec Coordinator she brought a lot of new activities into the town for residents both young and old such as yoga, kinder chefs, Skate with Santa, a Halloween decorating contest, hunter safety, Bike Rodeo, wreath making, scrapbook class, valentines crafts for kids, photo contest, dance class, river trail, tree planting day, floor hockey drop in, Sainte-Anne Idol Cameron hopes that some of the programs she started will continue under new leadership.
