Lions Give Out Cash and Prizes The Ste Anne Lions Club would like to announce the winners of their recent Christmas Cash Draw. The draw took place on Saturday November 26th at the Lions Craft Sale. A random drawing from the sold tickets was conducted at 2:00 p.m. with young members of the audience doing the actual drawing of winning tickets. 1st place, winning $375 was Darren S. from Ste. Anne 2nd place, winning $225 was Jeannine P. from Ste. Anne 3rd place, winning $150 was Rick M. also from Ste. Anne There were two other prizes drawn that day too. The door prize which consisted of items donated by the vendors at the craft sale was won by Ruth from Ste. Anne and the cookie/ chocolate basket raffle was won by Suzanne R. from Ste. Anne as well. The Ste. Anne Lions express our sincerest appreciation for all the support we received during this function. We love doing community centered events and are looking forward to doing more. The funds raised at these events will be put to good use here in our local area to help those who need help. 100% of the net funds raised will be going back to the public through assistance and community projects.

Minor Hockey Fundraiser Success

The Ste. Anne Aces Minor Hockey league held a Ukrainian dinner Fundraiser at the Ste. Anne Hotel this past November 26. It was a huge success as the hotel was jam packed shoulder to shoulder. Dinner was cooked up by the staff at the hotel and it was devoured by those in attendance. They

had a very large silent auction with some great prizes including a Jets jersey, box tickets for 20 to a Moose game, and even a prize package including 8 Jets tickets. Some very happy winners when home that evening. Tom Dutiaume and his band had the dance floor full right from his first song.


Upcoming Events... The Splashpad/Skatepark Committee is having a wine raffle with all proceeds going to support the recreation master plan such as landscaping, lighting, paths and more. Tickets currently available at Sainte-Anne Sundries, Old#12, Sainte-Anne Hotel, Richer Husky, Sainte-Anne Physio, Sainte-Anne Town Office. We are also accepting donations of wine for our raffle if you want to help out! If you want to sell tickets and help email recservices@steannemb.ca or if you want to purchase tickets or donate wine. Adult Wreath Making Workshop: December 4 from 1 pm - 2:30 pm will take place at 736 Traverse Rd. the Cost is $27.50 minimum number required to run class. Please email recservices@steannemb.ca or call 422-5459. Christmas Lights Contest and the Seniors Bus Tour. Thursday December 15th at 7 pm. Make sure your lights are on from 7 pm until 8:30 pm while the Lions and their friends from the Villa tour the town on a school bus. Again this year they will be voting which houses will be this year’s Christmas Lights Contest winners. Kids Christmas Craft Workshops on Dec.17 at 736 Traverse Rd. Pre-registration please (we need to make sure we have enough supplies) at recservices@steannemb.ca. Cost is $5. 12 pm - 12:45 pm (2-4yr old) - must be accompanied by an adult 1 pm - 2 pm (5-7 yr. old) - (instructor led) 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm (8-12yr old) (instructor led) 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm (13-17) - (instructor led) Skate with Santa on December 18 there will be an off ice letters to Santa station, small craft and pictures with Santa in the lobby of the Arena at 3:30 pm. On ice Skate with Santa will take place from 5 pm – 6 pm. Helmets & skates please. No Charge!

NYE Ste. Anne Senior Aces fundraiser will be held at the Ste. Anne Hotel on December 31 from 8 pm -1 am. There will be a music man, prizes, party favours and champagne. For tickets call 204-998-6050. $15 each.

One day Photography Camp recommended for ages 8+ will take place at 736 Traverse Rd on January 4. The cost is $30 for the entire day! Bring lunch. For more info email recservices@steannemb.ca or call 4225459.
