Christmas Sales Success in Ste. Anne
There where two successful Christmas sales in Ste. Anne His generosity is so appreciated! He came in without hesitation and filled this past month. The 7th annual One-Stop-Shop Vendor and Craft Sale the table with presents. and Food Drive was held on November 17 at the Ste. Anne Immersion School Gym. Food was raised for the local Christmas hamper drive and the Ste. Anne Lions Club held a fundraiser with a pancake breakfast and bake sale. Santa was on hand ready for pictures with kids, young and old. The other event was a toy drive and vendor and craft sale hosted at the Ste. Anne Hotel on December 1 for the local food bank’s Christmas hampers. The goal was to bring in 30 toys. By the end of the event 50 items had been collected. Special thanks to Robert Sarrasin’s son Zachary (right) who turned 7 that day and decided, for his birthday, that all his gift be donated to the Toy Drive! Photo courtesy of Jolene Chuhai
“Santa’s Workshop” Sets Up Painting Fun
For the Love of Art hosted a “Paint with Santa” Fundraiser at the Ste. Anne Hotel with proceeds from the evening donated to the Ste. Anne Lions Clubs. Gathering for an evening of painting are fun nights out with a step-by-

Public Skating: Free Public Skating is being held at the Ste. Anne Arena every Sunday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. January 13th, 2018 Public skating will be canceled. Wednesday Parent & Tots & Retirees: Every Wednesday Free skating for Parents & Tots (& Retirees) will be held at the Ste. Anne Arena from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Kids Christmas art competition Dec 1 - 15. Kids, it’s time to get creative, we’re running a creative kids ART competition and you could WIN amazing prize packages. Theme is “Christmas morning” Your Art Needs to be on a regular sized computer paper. You can use whatever supplies you’d like that can fit this paper. Get as CREATIVE as you’d like. In-Take and drop off of these Art pieces will be taken at the Town of Ste. Anne between Dec 1st - 15. Prizes announced December 22nd and judged by Residents of the Villa. Your Art, as we receive it here at the Town office will hang proudly as Christmas Décor until it is delivered to the Villa for judging. Christmas Lights contest Dec 7-11. The Ste. Anne Lions Club reminds you to have your Christmas lights on Dec 7-11. There will be a town wide contest, 1st place $75, 2nd place $50 and 3rd place $25. No need to register just have your house lit up. On the evening of Dec 11 the Ste. Anne Lions Club will take a Christmas Light Tour of the town. Songs of Christmas Concert Dec 9 at 2:00 p.m. Sainte-Anne Catholic Church. Free admission. Please bring non-perishable food or make a monetary donation for the Christmas hampers. Ste. Anne Offers Potential Programs LEARN to SKATE program (5-week session) Want to learn to skate? Are you a preschool aged kiddo that needs help/direction to learn to skate? If you’d be interested in planned sessions which will run for 5 weeks and be during the Tots skate session please email for more info and to register. Need enough interest to run the sessions. If you’d be interested in learning as an adult to skate, that’s also an option we could run, again if there are enough interested participants. Babysitters course If you’re interested in this course please email for more info, if we have another full Class we will run this workshop again. Self Defense Ever wonder what to do in those just in case scenarios? From a potential Dog attacking you, to self-defense situations, many topics covered in this workshop. If there is interested participants that want this workshop to run, we can make it happen for you. SNOW Shoe fun - Want to meet in the park and go Snowshoeing? Kids, and Adults…families welcome. The Ste. Anne Lions Club and their KidSight Program visited the Children of the Universe Learning Centre to screen all the children for Amblyopia, commonly referred as “lazy eye”, and other potential issues with their vision. Results of the tests let parents know whether they should be following up with an eye doctor or if the vision is normal.
Hamper Information
Accueil Kateri Centre, Ste. Anne’s food bank, in partnership with Paroisse Ste-Anne Parish and the Ste. Anne Knights of Columbus will be offering Christmas Hampers again this year to residents of the Town of Ste. Anne and the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne. Persons and families wishing to receive a hamper are asked to fill out a request form. These forms can be obtained at the Town of Ste. Anne office, the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne office, the Catholic church’s office, at Burnells Food Plus in Richer and also on the food bank’s website www.accueilkatericentre. ca . The filled forms can be brought back to these places. Please note that past recipients of Christmas hampers will NOT be called this year. Recipients will be asked to pick up their hampers on Sunday December 16 at the Knights of Columbus hall, 132 Centrale Avenue, Ste. Anne between 2 and 5 p.m.
