Flags Sent Off to Our Olympians The Ste. Anne Library invited the community to come in and sign two Canadian flags to send with our local Olympians as they take on the world representing the best of Ste. Anne. The Canadian Women’s Olympic Team, with our local Gold medal Olympians Jocelyne Larocque and Bailey Bram, will look to win its fifth-straight gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games when the puck drops in South Korea on Feb. 11. In addition to its previous four gold medals, the Canadian Women’s Olympic Hockey Team also claimed silver in 1998 in Nagano, Japan. The Olympic women’s hockey tournament opens on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Kwandong Hockey Centre and culminates on Thursday, Feb. 22 at the Gangneung Hockey Centre. Canada is scheduled to compete in Group A and begins preliminary-round play on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Construction Trailer Stolen A theft occurred from a construction site on St. Alfonse Street in the Town of Ste. Anne early morning on January 29. Police say a witness described a brown or beige Dodge truck with a loud exhaust possibly driving off with the trailer around 4 am. The trailer is described as a grey boxed trailer and contained numerous construction tools. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ste. Anne Police Department.

Cannabis Survey The Town of Sainte-Anne and its council would like to hear form you! The Town of Ste. Anne is requesting input from residents to help develop its Cannabis strategy.
