Local Resident Celebrates 102nd Birthday

New Sports and Recreation Coordinator The Town of Ste. Anne has a new Sports and Recreation coordinator! Sarah Normandeau of Ste. Anne is passionate about the community she lives in! She may have captured some of your cherished family moment through her local business Sarah Normandeau Photography or maybe you’ve bumped into her at local activities and sports Normandeau and her family are involved in. If you haven’t met her yet you soon will as she is already busy planning tons of family activities for the community. She has started planning summer day camps for kids, and pickle ball for seniors is already up and running. Sarah will be an asset to the community and to the new role she has taken on. Did you know that Miss World Canada is the official preliminary to Miss World, which remains the oldest, largest and the most prestigious pageant in the world represented by 147 countries and attracting over two billion viewers, which is more than the Olympics? The current reigning Miss Manitoba World 2017 - Courtney Jade will be representing our province in July at the Miss Canada World Pageant. She was crowned Miss Manitoba World 2017 on April 30. She is 23 years old and

from Winnipeg. “I took some indoor and outdoor pics of Courtney and showed her some of Ste. Anne’s outstanding scenic areas,” said Bilash. “She’s not only a lovely women - but also donates her time to many charities, and is completing her Engineering degree.

The Ste. Anne Walk will take place June 10 at the Soccer Park on the old #12 hwy beside the Fire hall. “Great things happen when groups of people join forces and that’s what we hope for with the 2017 Walk for Alzheimer’s,” says Wendy Schettler, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Memorial Bench

Doreen Pchajek has given a lot to her communities throughout the years dedicating thousands of hours of her time to the Stacey Pchajek Memorial Fund in honour of her daughter. Ste. Anne is now home to a beautiful memorial bench to honour her daughter.
