Plans for Ste. Anne Historical site A local Ste. Anne Historical site, Piney Bridge, was constructed in 1921. The reinforced concrete structure is situated on Finnigan Road, on the east side of Ste. Anne. It once was the main route to Piney, Manitoba. Piney Bridge was closed to vehicular traffic since 2011 due to structural deterioration. According to the minutes of the January 22 Town Council meeting, a recent bridge inspection conducted by Stantec Consulting Ltd indicates that the rehabilitation cost to re-open the bridge to vehicular traffic is not a cost-effective solution. The cost to maintain the bridge for safe pedestrian use is in excess of $35,000 and would only provide a service life of five to ten years. The Town Council has decided that the process of de-designation of the bridge as a Manitoba Historical site be commenced for the purpose of replacing the bridge with a new structure for vehicular and pedestrian use.
Community has Access to Computers The Ste. Anne Library is host to the Community Access Center (CAC). The program works in partnership with community groups to connect Canadians in rural or remote settings to the Information Highway. The CAC offers residents of the town and the surrounding area the opportunity to interact with computer technology. Our CAC provides five computers with high speed internet, wireless internet and a printer/scanner/fax machine which are all available to the public. - The average person falls asleep in 7 minutes. - An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. - 11% of people are left handed.

My home was filled with lots of antiques. When my grandson was growing up I would tell him not to touch certain things because they were antiques. One day when he was about 4 years old, he looked me and asked, "Well who is Aunt Teak and when am i going to meet her?"
